Where to next for Forza Motorsports?
The Last Monthly DLC – July 2010.
Plus:- Did it just become a pimping ground for new car manufacturers?

Well it has been some time since I last peeked in on the Forza 3 page. So long in fact, it feels like I’ve forgotten what the game is like. (not really, as I play it every week)
Especially considering I’ve been out of the country of almost 6 weeks, and haven’t even had a chance to download the last two DLC’s for the game, let alone even pick up a controller.
Seems almost incomprehensible actually, but here I am, just about to settle down for some more serious Forza 3 gameplay, and I find out that the latest DLC the World Pack, is the “Last DLC monthly DLC” to come from Turn 10. No more tracks, not that many came, only one actually, namely Nurburing GP circuits, and no more pimping for new car manufacturers, thankfully.
But first, let’s cover some ground on some recent events concerning the game.

Plus: Road & Track Full 10 Car Review coming this evening AEST.
Road & Track DLC Pack
Arrives April 14th Australia (US – 13th)
Update: Mon 12th April (10:51pm AEST)
Here are 10 ‘sneak-peek-pics’ of the cars that are coming your way in less than 2 days.
Can you match them with their right car?
The next DLC pack for Forza 3 is the Road & Track Pack which has been compiled through the cooperation between Turn 10 and the printed media magazine, Road & Track – naturally.
The following vehicles will appear in the pack, and OXCGN will again have an exhaustive and detailed look at all 10 great cars, one of which is a born-n-breed Aussie car – The Holden Commodore. We will evaluate each car on the track, as well as supply real-world counterpart specifics for your detailed information.
Here’s the coming line-up, so get those Microsoft Points built up, I estimate it will be as the others were, just 400 MSP, which seems to be the going rate for Forza 3′s DLC these days, which is a great deal better than the original 800 points they asked for them.
- Seat Leon Cupra R
- Mazda Mx-5 Superlight
- Bentley Contenential Supersports
- Mini Coupe Concept
- 2010 Mercedes E63 AMG
- 2010 Holden HSV w/ 427
- Volkswagon Golf R
- 2010 Ford Taurus SHO
- Renault Megane RS 250
- 2010 Vauxhall Insignia VXR
I loved the last Seat Leon Cupra in Forza 2, and was hoping like mad that it would eventually become available in Forza 3.
So it looks like my hopes and wishes have been granted, as well as providing me with the new big-block powered Holden HSV 427 V8 Commodore. This one, being one of the HSV (Holdern Special Vehicles) group, will be a definite stump-puller for sure.
The Big Block Chevy’s really have the torque where it counts, and coupled with the award winning HSV series, it could prove to be a Forza 3 winner as well.
I remember driving a ’55 Chev Tudor with a 396 Chevy Rat big block in it, and the sheer torque could lift the inside wheels on a fully street legal steel shelled car. And those things are not light by any stretch of the imagination. So as you can see, there’s quite a lot of ‘grunt in those big-blocks.
A full detailed review will be up within 2 days of the release of the DLC, not 6 days like the last one . . . at least this time we have some lead up to get specs together for the 10 cars, thankfully. So stay tunned . . . . .
Road & Track Pack Coming
April 13th drop date on Xbox Live Market place.
We’ll have full details of this and the competition Forzamotorspot are running for Nth American Forza 3 owners ONLY tomorrow, plus sneak pics of the 10 cars that will be unveiled over the next several days.
Now tell me the Forza Motorsport’s Forza 3 packs are not getting any better . . . So long as they keep this level of quality, interest and cross promotion up, I think that ‘other’ game will have a hard time playing “catch-up” when it is eventually released, whenever that might be???
So long as Turn 10 take some hints with regards to track inclusions for Single Players, then they will score big from both car collectors and racers alike.
Stay tuned, back later with more full details.
Forza 3′s Pagani Zonda World Challenge
![]()
©2010 Grant Smythe:
As most readers know, OXCGN is a huge supporter and follower of the Forza Motorsport franchise, and has been since the very first Forza Motorsport hit the tracks in 2002 on the 1st-Gen Xbox as a launch title.
So it is with great pleasure and pride that we have teamed up with another very enthusiastic race site to bring you a first for Forza Motorsport 3.
OXCGN and Forza Racing League are presenting the worlds first Pagani Zonda World Challenge which will be run over a 2 week period from 24th April through to 2nd May 2010. This will include initial qualifying periods for each region, Regional ‘Shoot-Outs’ to determine 3 drivers from each region, who will then compete in the Inaugural Pagani Zonda World Challenge.
Prizes are on offer comprising both in-game prizes as well as real world goods of value.
The aim of the event is to bring more racing gamers together in a competitive but legitimate atmosphere where drivers are competitors, not enemies.
NB: Example of a Zonda Livery – Mine (no, I can’t compete, being a sponsor and all) but it gives you an ‘idea’ of sponsor, number and name placements. The other sponsors are related to the various parts fitted to this particular Zonda I built, these wont suit you of course, unless you use the same parts?!
The colour scheme (livery) is available as-is if you’re too lazy to create one, You’d simply have to change the vehicle number to the one allocated once registered, and the drivers name of course. Other than that, you can simply grab the ‘liver’ by emailing me, and getting it off my Forza Storefront. That is of course, IF you don’t want to waste time doing your own.
Remember:- This is only an example, but it does show location of PWC Sponsor decals’ and the Sponsors are as follows:
- FRL (Forza Racing League)
- OXCGN
- Forza Stats 3
- Turn 10
- Forza Motorsports
- VIN (vehicle Identification Number/driver name)
Example scheme, placement of Sponsor decals.
Slip over to the article now for full details on registration, qualifying times, regional dates and final race day date. There are downloadable Rules & Guidelines over there for you and any interested racers which must be downloaded and checked out before registering for the Pagani Zonda World Challenge.
Don’t just sit on the fence, get involved and become part of the Forza 3 Racing Fraternity. OXCGN-Racing Team will be looking for drivers after the event, as we can not enter this one, as we’re a major sponsor. So keep your eyes peeled for news of that when it breaks.
For now though, head over to the article, check the details out, register and get ready to roar – Forza 3 style.
Forza DLC #4 Jalopnik Car Pack Review:
Or OZ’s Forza 3 Auto-Reviews & Top Ten Line Up Awards
Perhaps one of the most exhaustive and detailed Forza 3 DLC reviews on the net . . .
Another month, and more DLC from the guys at Turn 10. This time the long awaited Jalopnik Car Pack, first of a series of packs coming from Turn 10 and Jalopnik through their collaboration within Forza 3, and hopefully beyond (Forza 4 anyone??).
And at the cost of just 600 MSP, it’s not bad value actually, especially when thrown up against the 400 MSP they ask for with the Nurburgring Grand Prix track for just 2 ribbons at 400 MSP.
There has also been released a VIP Car Pack recently, which has 5 vehicles which I will detail separately in a few days time. It’s price of 800 MSP is not too bad, considering that besides the 5 VIP Members cars you get, you also get around 10 various “Turn 10 Gift Cars” which are special ‘one-off livery schemes’ done by the Turn 10 crew, as well as one-off cars that are also worked into the Seasons and Event List.
In the Jalopnik Car Pack this time however, which is what this review is about, we’ve been graced with not only some super quick rides, but also one car that will never see production of any kind, and was actually built using some *secondhand components, but more on that one as we get into the detailed review on the Forza 3 DLC #4 Jalopnik Car Pack #1, the first of several Jalopnik Car Packs heading our way from Turn 10 and Jalopnik.
Check out the extensive Jalopnik DLC #4 Car Pack now, way more than you bargained for – yet again. And of course, make sure that you check these latest ones out while you’re here:
- Jalopnik & Turn 10 Car Pack DLC#4
- Last Month DLC #3, The Nurburgring Grand Prix Pack
- The Detroit Autoshow Car Pack DLC #2
- You can check out the first extensive review of the DLC Holiday Pack here as well.
- OXCGN’s Huge Forza 3 Page, over 1500 comments.
- OXCGN’s Forza 3 Career Guide with downloadable Achievement PDF spec sheet.
- OXCGN’s Career Guide Number 1. More downloadable stuff and lots of tips.
Jalopnik Car Pack due 9th – OZ’s Review due 10-11th . . .
As usual, we’ll be giving the new DLC pack some serious testing on a few tracks this time, one of which include the old faithful Le Mans Muslanne original ribbon.
The lineup of of cars includes the following ten vehicles.
- 2008 Mazda Furai
- 2010 Honda Civic Type R Mugen
- 2009 #40 Robertson Racing Ford GT
- 2010 Aston Martin Rapide
- 2011 BMW Z4
- 2010 Audi TT RS
- 2010 #33 RSR Jaguar XKR
- 2010 Porsche 911 Sport Classic
- 2010 Aston Martin V12 Vantage
- 1992 Bugatti EB110SS
So expect the usual exhaustive rundown on the cars which will include real-life counterparts, specs (both in-game and RL) in our typical OXCGN fashion. Just to let you know, OXCGN’s Forza 3 pages are some of the top searched pages on Google now, and appear in the top ten results, so thanks to all those who look and find our pages on this great game. We will continue to deliver the best coverage as humanly possible, but not from a promotional spin side, but from an enthusiasts side.
So if it stinks, we’ll most certainly say so . .
See you on the evening of the 10th or early on the 11th after I’ve thrown all ten around 2 different circuits to annalize their individual merits, or faults.
Here’s a bit of a tease for you, the ten cars for the Jalopnik Car Pack DLC#4
Oz Gives His Verdict on
the new DLC Track-Pack . . .
What does the review say . . . . . . . ?
Anyone that follows this site and has read anything related to Forza 2 or Forza 3 knows that the game is a passionate one for me.
I could be like many ‘fanboys’ and agree that the tracks are terrific just to be in the game. Or I could say heaps of great things about the developers Turn 10 for adding the 2 best tracks in the world, that were in the last game by the way, into their new game.
But I’m not a fanboy, and I’m not one to praise something that does not deliver what the end user wants, and needs to in order to deliver a satisfactory result.
If you are thinking of getting the DLC, then you ‘need’ to read this first – it’s a full review of the latest DLC from Turn 10 . . .
Forza DLC #3:-
Nurburgring Gand-Prix-Circuits
Both the Full and Short Track available 9th Feb

I had been hoping and praying that the first lot of tracks to be offered as DLC from Turn 10 in Forza 3 would be the famous Nurburgring Grand-Prix-Circuits.
They are finally here, both the Full Grand-Prix-Circuit and the Short Sprint circuit will be on offer, which is something I’m really looking forward to. Well on one hand I am, but there’s an air of apprehension about it, which you will read about in a minute, but first things first.
Both of these circuits were available in Forza 2, and I personally spent many hours flying around the track in just about every class and car available, and let me tell you, some of the unlikeliest cars did some amazing times around those 2 tracks, and ideally, the times will be close to real-world figures, as will the racing fun.
As always, we will be running a review on the track, using cars from different classes to see how both the track looks and feels and the cars deal with the very demanding track.
My only concern or hope actually, is that the tracks will be able to be used within the Career or Seasons Mode, or at the very least, in the Events List Mode where you are pitted against other vehicle in any class you set.
If they are not, and only available for On-line racing, then it will be a sad day for Forza 3 fans everywhere, as over 50% of Forza 3 fans do NOT use the game on live due to many reason, one of which is player exploitation and tom-foolery. Something any real race fan just does not want to deal with when they are there to race.
The detail looks great from the shots, let’s hope that transfers across into the real-deal, and we’ll be grabbing the DLC as soon as it is available. Seeing that the 9th hits Australia before Nth America and Europe, we’ll have a head start on testing it out, hopefully.
Slip over here to check out the video and more images as well as a history on the great circuits. Cost on the DLC is 400 MSP
Forza DLC #2 Detroit Autoweek Show review:
The most extensive & detailed Forza 3 DLC #2 review out
So here’s my review of Forza 3′s Detroit Autoweek Show DLC Pack which was released on January 12th (US). All 10 cars are covered in this review, the pack is available from XboxLive for just 400 msp, and as far as I’m concerned, these are well worth the few dollars they ask for them.
I place the cars in order of ‘my personal preferences’ with regards to which car would be the best, through to the least most desirable. Not that any are, but you get the idea. I always look for something a little bit different in my car choices within the game, and don’t always pick the biggest or the most popular. So just grit your teeth and bare with it. Better still, have your say in the comments box below at the end of the review – so long as you abide the TOU and COC, everything is fine.
I add mainly pics of real-world cars so you can get an idea of what these things look like in real life, so that when you get your greasy little paws on them, you can see just how well detailed and rendered they are in-game.
They need not be the quickest or highest horsepowered beasts, as it’s often the ‘tweaking’ of suspension and chassis that sets a car apart from the pure brutes, where horsepower exceeds drivability, and top speeds are unattainable.
If you want some tips on tweaking a little bit, you can check out the first review on the Holiday Pack, where you will find some suspension tweaks that ‘might’ suit you, and think seriously about using the Forza Calculator to help work out other tweaks for any car within Forza. But enough of this, let’s get on with what we are all here for, the cars.
Come check out the huge, extensive Forza 3 DLC Pack review now….. (here)
DLC #2 AutoWeek Car Show Pack Available
Full review of DLC #2 available tomorrow
Well I downloaded the pack as soon as it became available early this morning Aust time, and have taken all 10 for a spin. It includes the following cars, and I’ll have an extensive road test on all ten by tomorrow morning.
For those that were saying the Aston Martin One-77 was nothing more than a customized DB9, then you are sadly mistaken. From all the cars available in the pack, this car stands out above them all.
[ED: While you're waiting, you can check out the review we did on the First DLC Pack, this will give you an idea of how detailed we get with the game.]
It has the highest top speed in standard gearing (335kph in the back straight of Le Mans) and is solid as a rock on the road, even at those speeds, handles corners like it’s stuck to the ground, and looks and sound beautiful.
The Raptor, while sounding sweet (and looking damn fine) is a tad light on the nose, especially when the tyres are cold and when entering corners from speed. The Lotus 2-Eleven is by far the smallest of the 10, but do NOT let that fool you.
Sure, some of the others in its class can top it in the speed department in the long straights, but if you keep the line closed, they have difficulty passing, but don’t be a sook, let them past if they are approaching fast.
But you’ll whizz past them in the corners, as this little thing is like the proverbial car on rails. And driving in-car-view is just SO Sweet.
Anyhow, here’s a list of the cars, and for 400 MPS it’s a steel.
- 2009 Audi RS 6
- 2010 Ford Shelby GT500
- 2009 Lotus 2-Eleven
- 2010 Aston Martin One-77
- 2010 Porsche Boxster S
- 2009 Audi R8 LMS Show Car
- 2010 Pagani Zonda R
- 2010 Saleen S5S Raptor
- 2010 BMW Motorsport M6 Coupe
- 2010 Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport
So get ready for my intensive data driven review tomorrow morning, along with some great images and I’m working on a way of share actual laps with you guys, so hopefully you’ll be able to sit inside the cars while I’m giving them a work out on the track/s.
OXCGN’s Forza 3 Holiday Pack Review
Well I downloaded these as soon as they became available, and took each for a spin. All are excellent examples of modern motor technology, beautifully rendered and detailed, as you’d expect for Forza 3 vehicles.
Don’t let anyone put you off by making comments that the game looks like Forza 2, it’s a far cry from that, and you’ll see that as soon as a car is displayed both on screen and in-game.
I decided to run each one on the Le Mans Circuit de la Sarthe for 2 laps to see how each handled and responded. Oh, and I found my dream car, the Sir Sterling Moss SLR 2010 McLaren . . hmmm.
The only two non 2010 vehicles in the pack, the #007 ARM’s Aston Martin powered Lola bodied racer (R1 Class PI=976), and the #2 Sports Team Joest R15 TD1 (R1 class PI=983) cars were ‘exceptionally’ quick as always. Which is to be expected of this class, and definitely not for the faint hearted.
So let’s get one with it, but first let’s set the stage for the testing.
Head over here now for “full review” and OZ’s Racing Tips.
OXCGN’s Forza 3 Career Guide #2 – Achievement Walk-Through
Initial Achievements:
Here is OXCGN’s Top-Forza 3-Tips on a quick way to build up your first 110 Gamer Points with just 12 easy achievements, while also increasing your Experience Points (XP) and also gaining you some well earned Credits, and while doing all this, winning some cars to help you move forward in the game.
NB: I’d like to get one of my biggest bug-bears out of the way now about Forza 3.
The decision to remove the “penalty points” for going off the track, or cutting corners etc is the worst thing Turn 10 could have done.
Plus, add that to the rewind function, and ppl are able to tailor edit their races to achieve the best elapse times possible and thus get themselves up the ‘Global Forza 3 Leaderboards’ in an unfair fashion, and as far as I am concerned, is the highest form of cheating known.
It robs genuine racers, those who obey the basic principles of “clean racing”, the ability to be placed on the leaderboards based on their ‘skill’, which is what separates the chaff from the wheat.
That being said, let’s get on with the show shall we, so let’s slip over here now for more details, and if you get a chance, check out my Forza 2 Slide show, I haven’t had a chance to do any Liveries in Forza 3 – yet. Perhaps there’s something in there that might inspire you?

OXCGN’s Massive Forza 3 Career Help Guide

Welcome to OXCGN’s Forza 3 Racing Tips #1
S0 what has Oz been working on lately, well, as you will see when you flip across to here, quite a lot actually, and lots more is still to come. So make sure you keep an eye out for more tips an reference items in the next few days.
Forza 3 would have to have the biggest selection of races available in any known racing game to date.
With 730 races, (no, I have yet to work out exactly how many laps that is, but I’m working on it .. so be patient), which are spread over a massive 220 events from 10 different categories or series ranging from 50 different real life race circuits as well as fictional tracks based on real life locations in places such as Italy, Germany, France, Nth America, England, Japan and Spain. I think you’ll need a Tourist Visa!

* Live Forza 3 Action – Let’s Go Racing!
The guys over at AllAgeGaming.com are running a Forza 3 Playdate on 6th November, so if you want some great Forza 3 online action, head over there and grab their Gamertags, hit them up for an invite, show up at around 7.50pm AEST on 6th November, and buckle in for to “clean – honest” Forza 3 fun.
Typically Playdate start dead on 8pm AEST and are scheduled to finish at around 11pm AEST, most of the time. But can go a lot longer if the gamers are having fun.
You can pop in and out at anytime, as there’s no set period you have to stay, so long as you do not abuse the racing rules and jump out mid race if you’re losing. That’s just basically very “bad form”.
The races will be in Classes and you might even be able to play “Run What You Brung: style if theguys organise that on the night.
CHeck this advert out, hit any of the gamertags up on the ad, and make your interest know, it should be a top night. Our only request is, that you play like responsible, matured gamers and respect your fellow racers in-game, and out. You will be dealt with swiftly if you become a trouble maker very quickly.
Forza 3 Update 27th October #16
OXCGN’s Forza 3 Information
All 136 Tracks Available on Release & Loading Hints
Forza 3 ships with 100 tracks out of the box on day one. However, within each box you will find a redeemable XboxLIVE code to load up even more tracks and cars which will give you a total of 136 tracks off the bat. However, before we get into the details of the tracks, let’s just take a few minutes to make sure your 360 is a happy little vegimite before rushing on XboxLIVE and downloading any DLC etc.
Helpful Hint From Self Proclaimed Forza Nut XboxOZ:
Hint # 1: 360 Maintenance
While Forza 3 does come with 2 discs, the second disc is the one that holds the various cars and tracks to be uploaded onto your 360′s HDD, requiring 1.6 gig of space.
Before starting, I would seriously recommend clearing out any rubbish gear off your hard-drive BEFORE loading Forza 3, as well as run a normal ‘Xbox 360 System Maintenance’ check through your wee-beasty, which is simply a matter of doing the following sequence of button presses, then clicking okay in the Xbox Dash when the maintenance check comes up. Couldn’t be simpler.

WANTED: Certified Forza 3 Evangalist
Yes, the OZ is looking for some help!
Personally, the Forza 3 pages are my baby here at OXCGN, always have been, always will be. However, one man can only do so much and be able to still deliver the goods to the hungry and eager Forza 3 fans out there.
So to honour that code, I’m needing someone who has the following skills. A word of warning in advance. Please do not respond if you simply want some online glory or your name in print, yet do not have the skill set required! You’ll be not only wasting your time, but most importantly, mine as well. Which is something I do not take to kindly these days. I already put 10 – 14 hours per day into OXCGN, I really do not have any more hours in one day to add any more by following false leads and people who can not deliver what they say they can.
Follow this link to find out more, and to see what is required if you do take up the opportunity. Don’t be shy, but also, do not apply if you simply want to waste time, it will not go down well. Check here to get all the details and your required skill set needed for the position then use this email link to send off your interest in applying.

OXCGN Forza 3 October Update #15 – Daily Vehicle News
’90 Chevy Camaro IROC-Z, Last of a Breed.
Well it’s almost there for us bods Downunder (Australia, the great southern isle for the uneducated) when Forza 3 will be unleashed onto our shelves and market of retailers throughout our great fair land on October 23rd.
Some of us have been lucky enough to nab a copy for reviewing so far, and we managed to pull one of the Forza 3 Limited Collectors Editions apart for you as well yesterday.
We will hopefully be following that un-boxing up with another even bigger un-boxing! Yes, the un-boxing of the Forza 3 250 gig Super Elite Bundle which we hope to have in our hot little sticky hands in the very close future thanks to GamesBasement. So make sure that you are around for that soon as we have it arrive.
And while this isn’t the last you’ll see of OXCGN’s Forza 3 news & Updates, they will start take a twists and turns, and start delivering a different style of reporting and news, the OXCGN Forza 3 Community News.

Forza 3 Special Feature 20th October
OXCGN Forza 3 October Special – Lets Go Drag Racing, Forza style
One of the biggest things many Forza fans loved in Forza 2 was Drag Racing at the excellent track called Copper Head. Well this time, we have 8 lanes of drag racing in Forza 3 and it will be at the ex-Marine Corps El Toro Air Base in California, “The Benchmark High Speed Ring”.
Yes yes, I know, Drag Racing is typically one-on-one tyre smokin’, big screamin’ motor mayhem, but to give everyone a fair go, and not have waiting ques as long as the eye can see, Turn 10 have made it so you can have as many as 8 cars racing the Magic Quarter Mile to see just who can pip the cherry and arrive at the other end first.
Whether or not this is a good, or bad thing is up to time to tell. My personal view is that drag racing has always been between two people, with their reaction time to the Christmas Tree being the golden rule of Launch Mechanics.
Let’s go Drag Racing people . . . in true Forza 3 Style . . . . burn rubber baby.
Forza 3 Update 19th October #14
OXCGN Forza 3 October Update #14 – Daily Vehicle News
Test Track – Gymkahana Madness – Drag Racing Delights
Well it’s not that far away now, just a few days away here in Australia, and several car updates from OXCGN until Forza 3 is unleashed onto the gaming public in Europe, Australia and Asia. Followed 5 days later in Nth America.
OXCGN will still be bringing you heaps of news on the game once it is released. Such as tournaments, the formation of various Racing Teams, such as Team OXCGN Racing (slip us an email if you want to join up), User Created Videos from the excellent Video Editor in Forza 3.
We will also be looking at how to tune your Forza 3 cars for the various classes and tracks/condition. Such as what works, and what doesn’t work on the various tracks with each class, how to go Drag Racing – and win (see feature in next day or two). Or how to set up your NASCAR – Stockcar for the various classes they are eligible for, as well as making some Drag Vehicles out of those monsters as well.
You need to see the Gymkhana video, plus learn the history behind the Track . . . .
Forza 3 Update 18th October #13
OXCGN Forza 3 October Update #13 – 2002 Pontiac Trans Am Ram Air – The Last of the ‘Birds
Forza gamers are basically ‘spoilt for choice’ this time around. Sure, some games can tout a higher number of cars, but we must remember, that while Forza 3 ships with 400 cars initially, it already has 2 major DLC waiting for eager owners, which will take the tally up to around 440, and an additional 20 odd tracks to ad to the already huge number out on day one, 100.
Forza 3 has the largest number of racing tracks in any video game todate, with many more heading to the gamers over the next 12 – 18 months while Turn 10 work diligently on Forza 4, after a wee holiday of course.
Many more Big Bad ‘Bird details, images, history and specs over here.
Forza 3 Update 17th October #12
I’ve had a few days break before the run into Forza 3′s release week long attack, so thanks for staying by, and there will be several items to help you catch up on 3 or 4 items, plus we’ll have an interview with the leading Drag Racing site and also a Forza 3 Media Extravaganza with over 750 images and videos to simply blow you away with.
Plus we’ll be announcing the OXCGN Forza 3 Competition soon, so stay tuned for that (pun intended), grab your bucket seats, tinnies (beer) and hat, and get down-n-dirty with more Forza 3 news, vehicle history and specs . .

We could use all the terrible clichés with Remington, but hey, why try and Steel everyone elses thunder . . wink wink.
The Cadillac is in it’s second generation of cars now, and through the extremely short period of time the Vehicles have been competitive, they have smashed records left-right-and-center.
Up until recently, the out of the box Cadillac CTS-V is a screamer, and was the fastest, commercially available 4 dooir production car on the planet, setting a blistering time at the infamous Nürburgring Nordschleife of 7:59.32, and was beaten only by a recent attempt by a V8 powered Porsche.

After a somewhat lackluster 4th generation of Camaros, Chevy has finally got its act together and produced what would arguably be called the ultimate Camaro in their 5th Generation Camaro lineup.
Borrowing on past styles, the “retro-Fitted and Retro-Styles 2010 looks like it belongs in todays modern world, yet still has the distinct charm of years gone by when style actually meant something. Except of course the sad period in the 80′s, but hey, everyone makes mistakes, including Chevrolet. But not anymore.
The lovely Curvy Retro 2010 SS Camaro is finally here . . .
Forza 3 250 Gig Xbox 360 Bundle Official – OXCGN Speical Offer
Well Forza nuts, it’s now official, these great bundles are now available for Pre-order, and OXCGN has struck a deal with a online store to offer all OXCGN readers the chance to grab one of these great newly announced Forza 3 250 Gig Xbox 360 Bundles.
OXCGN was right yet again, predicting back on the 19th September that the unit ‘would’ come out, even though everything went exceptionally quiet when word leaked a few weeks ago on a South African site showing details of the bundle, it has come to fruition, and speculation can be put aside, and they are now available to buy.

OXCGN Forza 3 October Update #10 – Classic American Muscle 1979 Z28 Camaro Rocks-N-Rolls
I can remember sitting my backside in one of these beauties . .the seats are no-fuss slimline things, unlike the lovely ex-lounge chairs modern day cars call seats. And racing these things ment making sure the whole things stayed in one line.
Not the most powerfullest cars in standard trim by any means, with just a tad over 175 BHP coming out at the rear wheels. An enthusiast however, can spin them out to incredible amounts of horsepower. But we need to remember that these were the days of loud V8′s, tyre smoke and Cannon Ball Runs. These lovelies just fitted straight in.
Check out more Classic Camaro details and pics here . .

OXCGN Forza 3 October Update #9 – Daily Vehicle News Saleen S331 Supercharged Supercab
With just TEN DAYS TO GO, here we have more hot cars from Forza 3. While we know all 400 of the cars that will ship on launch day, I’m wondering just how many we will eventually see over the course of the next 18 months in Forza 3.
Forza 2 had Car Packs being release upp to 12 months after its release, and Forza 3 seems to be following that trend, right from the get-go, with the Launch DLC pack that supplys a total of 20 new tracks to the already 100 on off out off the box, and also around 20 cars that get added to the current 400.
Using some basic math, one would assume Forza 3 will top the 500 – 600 mark by the time the DLC finish in about 12 months time. That is of course, if Turn 10 ever stop the DLC packs. Check out the Twin Supercharged Supercab here, get the specs and life on Saleen.

Build Your Own Ford-Dodge-Chevy & get all Ovally
You either love-em, or hate-em. Oval racers, or so often called “Stock Cars” . . . Actually there are several classes of Stock Cars that could all fit under that one moniker, but we’re talking today more about NASCAR and specifically, the Late Model Series Stock Cars.
For many video game racers, these things sound boring. Round-n-round you go, where you stop, everyone knows – the wall or infield, time and time again.
Well, actually, that in fact says a lot about just how difficult it is to keep over 600bhp stable enough to reach speeds of in excess of 150 mph while negotiating a full pack of vehicles all hell-bent on getting to the front, just like you are. Find out more of what Forza 3′s Stock Cars offer, and how you can “build your own” right here . . .
• NB: But do check out that Low-flyin’ Water-Lovin’ Camaro just below, those vids are amazing – I want one.

OXCGN Forza 3 October Update #7 – Sleek, Sexy & Swift 2009 Volkswagen Scirocco GT
But before you do, here’s something just a little bit different, if you’re not interested, just click the link above to go straight to the update, but make sure you come back and check this out ..
Water Rat – or Amazon Python?
We’ve shown you the fastest Corvette in the world, which can go from 0-60mph in ONE SECOND, yes, that’s right One (1) Second (check further down this LONG list and you’ll find the video and details), and as we are always wanting to bring to your attention most things car related, and also a little bit quirky . . .
So how’s about we introduce you to a Chevy Camaro that can do the standing 1/4 mile in 12.4 secs – yeah that’s not super quick, but it weighs 3,800 lbs or 1,725kgs (no lightweight right!) but can also jet along in less than 4.5″s (120mm) of water at 97Kph or 6o mph and top out at over 100mph or 160kph on land !!!
Welcome the Water Snake – Python #1
Yes, a Camaro that not only floats (your boat) but does so at amazing speeds both on land, and in the water. And it is THE biggest Chick-Magnet around. Forget the Porsche’s, the Lamborghini’s and Ferrari’s, this has got girls jumping all over it, literally. Find out more, and see the second video here . . . bloody amazing . . . I want one Santa . . .
Anyway, where was I, oh yes, Forza 3 . .can’t wait . .well actually, we have to, as it’s not out for another 11 days here in Australia and 15 for Nth America.
Forza 3 Update 11th October #7
OXCGN Forza 3 October Update #7 – Sleek, Sexy & Swift 2009 Volkswagen Scirocco GT
Forza 3 fans will just love this, especially those in Europe. As this little beast will only see “real world” sales in Europe and not in Nth America . . making it a very desirable European sports coupe, not just because of its style and sleek designs. But because it’s one car that won’t see its self being thrown around US streets – unless!?
So any solid ‘Dub supporters in Nth America that want this car, or any of its 3 variants, will either have to move house to the European shores or, look at importing it themselves, which would prove a costly venture no matter which way you looked at it.
But not if you play Forza 31 As it doesn’t matter where you are in the world, this car, as well as every other car is available to you right out of the box in Forza 3, with DLC supplying you with many more great cars which are on their way after launch.
Check out the swift, sleek and oh so sexy little machine here, the VW Scirocco GT and GT42

Complete Car List – all 400 vehicles named
Well finally we have what we have been dying to hear, or read as the case might be. The complete listing of all vehicles for Forza 3 available on release, the complete release listing.
Naturally the listing won’t stop here,. As we already know, the first DLC (downloadable content) will be the Ferrari Pack which will include 20 of the “worlds finest” machines belong to the prancing horses stable. No news as to costs for the DLC packs just yet, but my educated guess would be around the 800MSP mark. I could be wrong (which I very rarely am – jk btw), but that’s my guess at this time.
Well, what are you waiting for, slip over to here right now for the full list as well as a brand new Video and a special bit of info re a Legendaryy DLC Pack that’s available on launch day which also includes some special tracks . . .

#11 Primetime Racing Group Slithery Viper bolts to the front
Dodge fans everywhere will be jumping in their seats with this one. One of the best performing Dodge Viper Competition Coupes to roll around any of the Le Mans and Lite Le Mans tracks is of course the #11 Primetime Team’s GT2 – R Dodge Viper Competition Coupe.
Drivers in Forza 3 will have at their disposal a pure breed racing car that is purpose built, but done so at a price that allows many privateers to enter, or ‘Weekend Warriors” to compete on an even field as a semi-production vehicle, built specifically for racing, but at a price that will not have the racing enthusiast having to sell of their left lung and kidney.

Slippery Evos – 2006 HKS Time-Attack & IX Mitsubishis
Forza 3 drift lovers will just go ‘berkoo’ with this one.
The Time-Attack world record holder, Taniguchi’s ever so slippery CT230R. In Forza 3 you’ll be able to take this slippery-sucker around the 100 odd tracks and see if you can match some of Taniguchi’s own times, as well as set some Forza 3 World Records on the huge Drift Leaderboard which will be set up.
Forza 3 aims to supply the digital racer with several major disciplines, as not everyone likes tail-chasing around the worlds biggest circuits or trying to get across the quarter mile in the least amount of time. Some simply want the thrill of getting from point A to point B in the shortest time possible, while laying down an endless line of rubber and becoming enveloped in billowing tyre smoke. Not my cup of tea, but it certainly is to many of the Tuners around the world, that is for sure.

Black Beast – #41 Gulf McLaren F1 GTR
Most gamers dealings with the McLaren are somewhat limited and many have really only been familiar with the McLaren F1 in such games as Forza, Forza 2, PGR 3, PGR 4, and several others that have had the rights to use licensed vehicles in their games.
Not many have actually known the real history behind the F1 GTR and the fact that that series only had 100 cars ever built for both sale and use as racing rigs, of which only 28 were ever the F1 GTR’s. What follows will help Forza 3 fans understand a little more about the great cars that will be circulating around the 100 odd tracks in Forza 3.
Come and meet up with the Big Black Beast and find out what made McLaren only make 28 of these puppies.

In the world of Le Mans racing and enduro-racing, the Lola built racing machines are second to none.
Having had many different drivetrains, and building specialised vehicles for every major competitor, the Lola Company have made a huge name for themselves since 1958, and only recently celebrated their 50th anniversary in 2008.
In Forza 3, you’ll be getting your backside into one of the best machines there is available in that class, the #16 Lola B09/86 MZR Coupe, sister to its other twin, the #20 from Dyson Racing, which are currently running second in their class in the world series. Everyone loves a BMW. Well, they are everywhere, and the poor mans ‘Supercar’ entry into a world of semi-elitedome. Or the thrill of driving around town with your top down wanting to be seen in something a little bit different, and be noticed.
I’ve always fancied the BMW Z’s, ever since the first one in 2002, the infamous Z3, hit the streets across the globe. Being snaffled up as fast as hotcakes on a Sunday morning in the US.

Forza 3 Update 25th September #10
Fujimi Kaido Skyline Drifting Style
With the demo now live and many Forza 3 nuts circulating around the track in 6 of the different cars, one in each class, many have been hanging out to see what Turn 10 would lay on them next.
Drifting fans will not be disappointed, as the infamous Skyline, several versions naturally will grace your screen and be able to be customised to your hearts content.
Here is an superb example of what Forza 3 can deliver in the hands of an expert Drifting team such as Team Blackjack. All the video you see here is from “actual gameplay” which has been constructed with the in-game video editor to give you an example of what is possible from the final game.
Shot at the Kita-Kantiou road circuit which has over 10 miles of open roads, and in excess of 100 corners to go mad on. But these guys make it look easy-as. Just watch the steady hands on the steering wheels as they loop around each other, and slide at 45 deg angles less than a few meters apart from each other.
• Fujimi Kaido Drifting Style Extraordinaires
It is simply just amazing, anyone that says that it’s not in-game footage obviously hasn’t played the demo yet (which you can access via our online download facilty ex-UK Xbox.com below)
If you think that you are good at drifting, then you best think twice, as these guys literally drive (drift) rings around most competitors, let alone the lay-drifter that resides in us all.
Take your time, view the video, make sure you see it a few times to observe the sheer brilliance of this driving team in actual action in Forza 3. As well as the bevy of Skyline and other Japanese car images below that are only some of the huge line-up of cars available out-of-the-box, and also via DLC after release on October 23rd (22nd Japan/Asia and 27th Nth America).
I’ll be giving you my Forza 3 personal impressions later tonight, even though many have gotten theirs up already, I wanted to make mine just that little bit different, so stay tuned. And, above all, thanks to our many Forza 3 fans who come here daily to get the news from Forza 3′s biggest unofficial site on the net.

Forza 3 Update 23rd September #8
When I say not a lot for you today, I don’t mean that in a negative way, but more in the size of the update.
As many of you have become accustomed, OXCGN’s Forza 3 Updates have become a large affair over the last month or so, with more regular updates happening almost daily.
This update is the last of the Ferrari Madness Updates for September. Soon Turn 10 will start on one of the one main stables of cars in the game, my money is on either Porsche or BMW, as both of those have extensive liveries and models to include in this iteration of Forza 3.
• Ferrari’s Italia 458
Something to note though is that the Ferrari Stable, the full stable, will be available for download via DLC Pack come this holiday season, basically December 09. As the game is released in October 23rd (PAL territories 27th in NTSC Territories).
WHat we have for you today though is Ferraris 2010 Italia 458 which has just been released and willno doubt become a popular model for Ferrai world wide. To give you an idea of what to expect, check out the video of the Ferrari Italia 458 that will appear in Forza 3, remembering this is taken from a composite of actual gameplay, not cgi created video.
The New Ferrari 458 Italia available for download holiday 2009.
“With much fanfare from the mainstream media Ferrari’s 458 Italia was unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show and as the flashbulbs lit up Ferrari’s latest and greatest automotive journalists started reaching for adjectives.
Stunning, awesome, a truly hardcore Italian Stallion and the most technically advanced non-racing Ferrari yet, were some of the headliners. Maranello has really struck a chord with the 458 Italia.
Its all-new aluminum chassis structure has been draped with a sleek, sultry and highly functional body. The 458 Italia is a combination of banned F1 active-aero technology and the voluptuous vision of the Pininfarina design house.
The Ferrari features ‘aerolastic’ spoilers in front that shape shift as the car accelerates altering the flow of air into the radiator and decreasing drag. Pininfarina provided the classic Ferrari elements; five-spoke star wheels, Prancing Horse fender badges and V8-under-glass engine presentation.
But Pininfarina’s sculpted character lines, flowing fender treatment, high-tech LED headlamps and scowling front fascia take the Italia to the next level.
Lucky owners of Ferrari’s gorgeous 458 Italia will get to know their chiropractors much more intimately. The successor to the F430, the 458 Italia plays the Ferrari numbers game with its 4.5-liter V8 that rings up 570 horsepower and 398 lbs-ft of torque.
At 127 hp-per-liter, the direct-injected V8 pumps out the highest specific output in Ferrari history. Looking at low-end grunt the engine produces about 310 lbs-ft from a low and usable 3,250 rpm. Power flows through Ferrari’s impressive seven-speed F1-bred dual clutch gearbox as the sleek supercar fires off 3.3-second 0-60s en route to its 202 mph terminal velocity.
With a wide powerband and finely honed suspension the 458 Italia is a mean g-force generator and one of the wildest rides on Forza Motorsport 3.”
Forza 3 Update 21st September #7
More Ferrari Mayhem on Forza 3 for September.
Well the fun just doesn’t stop on Forza 3. Not content with just delivering 100 Ferrari images 2 days ago, a day later comes this excellent video with Pro Racer PJ De Vera, discussing his role in all 3 Forza’s.
• RJ De Vera at his best
Now, hot on it’s heels only 2 days later comes even ‘more’ Ferrari’s, will this never stop? I certainly hope not. This time Turn 10 have delivered some hard to get roaring road racers from the prancing horse’s stable, and two of the best racers Ferrai have put out that shout out “horsepower’.
One of which is the old 1967 330 P4 which for those on Forza 2 will remember, is one of two of the most uncontrollable cars in that game. Try driving that around the ‘Ring in the enduro in the Standard series and you’ll see why most racers skip that section.
The other creamer of course is the 2005 Ferrari XX which is just all out racer . . . which hasn’t appeared before in Forza, not sure if it has appeared in any other racing genre game. Does any readers know if it has?
Check out the 44 images we have here for you, and a write up on Ferrari heading your way real soon. Enjoy…

Forza 3 Update 18th September #6
OXCGN Forza 3 September Update #6 – 250 gig Ferrari Madness
3 Major news items in one today:
- Forza 3 Super Elite 250 gig Bundle a goer
- A video featuring pro race driver RJ De Vera.
- Ferrari Madness
1) And Forza 3 Super Elite 250 Gig Bundle confirmed!
As I mentioned in a previous Forza 3 update, there was talk of a Forza 3 Super Elite 250 Gig Bundle that appeared on Amazon and a South African retail website. It has been confirmed for South Africa so far, no doubt more to come very soon, expect an announcement within the next 24 hours.
Here in Australia however, we have yet to have any confirmation of that, as according to my little birdie friends, who often send me nice little tit-bits via carrier pidgeon, we have yet to have any announcement within the channels here or artwork being commissioned that would show we would be getting that bundle.
Considering one of my little birdies works on the actual boxing and in-store goods etc, I’d have to trust their word on the matter, especially considering if boxes are needed for Australian/New Zealand stores, which they would be, and they do the artwork, then they’d know. But nothing – YET! – Soon as I find out, I’ll certainly let everyone know.
But it will be coming to South Africa, (as indicated by Xbox360 Gamer - Racing to stores on the 23rd October, the Forza Motorsport 3 Super Elite Bundle features more storage space than ever before coming complete with a 250GB Hard Drive, two Xbox 360 Wireless Controllers, as well as an Xbox 360 Headset and a Standard Edition copy of Forza Motorsport 3 for an estimated retail price of R4999) and if that is the case, which it is, then rest assured it will flow across the rest of the regions and be officially announced within the next 24 hours for worldwide release alongside the normal Forza 3 game and similar bundles.

Forza 3 Update 12th September #5
OXCGN Forza 3 September Update #5 – Forza goes Dyno Tuning
While many games on consoles claim to be simulations, most aren’t. Forza 3 would have to be the closest thing to a real racing simulation than another game being released currently. I say that even knowing many Sony fans of the excellent Grand Tourismo will be jumping up and down swearing profanities left-right and center.
The reason I say ‘simulation’ for Forza 3 is because it does simulate as many aspects of the cars in the games as humanly possible.
Not content to use ‘canned’ crash noises like many would, Turn 10 actually purchased vehicles and crashed them in order to obtain the ‘correct’ sound that would be heard when you do crash in Forza 3. Not only from outside, but from inside the vehicle, above it, etc, so that when you’re in a 3rd person viewpoint, you’d hear a different noise from when you are on say the bonnet cam view.
• Forza 3 Goes To The Dyno – Ford GT400
Or say in the cockpit view point, the engine sounds of a mid-engine vehicle would also be heard alongside the crash noises. I know that in Forza 2, when switching from forward view to rear-view )(looking back) you could hear a distinct difference in the sound. The same will apply in Forza 3, but more realistic.
As you’ll see in the extensive Dyno Testing video just released, there’s many things within Forza 3 that most gamers are totally oblivious to. Do spend the time required and listed through the entire long video. Don’t take short cuts to see different sections. Go grab a coffee, and sit down with some friends and really listen to what goes on behind closed doors. Then ask yourself, is this game worth the $UA110 they are asking for it, especially when you consider the HUGE amount that the game is costing to produce.
I say, yes, it certainly is, and I’d expect to pay more really, considering the expense laid out to achieve what they have done so far.
remembering, that Forza 3 is not just a rebuilt Forza 2 with nicer graphics, every aspect of Forza 3 is NEW. The graphics engine, physics engines, sound, dynamics and much more have all been specifically built from the ground up just for Forza 3. Even the User Created Content editors are all new with over 4000 layers in Forza 3.
That’s right, you thought some of the designs created in Forza 2 were great. That was with a mere 1000 layers, we now have 4000 layers to create whatever designs we see fit, and share them with the world.
We’ll get recognition for that as well, as while some gamers are average drivers, many can create exceptionally beautiful artwork on their rides. Some can tweak and tune a car better than they can race them. We’ll be able to collaborate together and create Teams, like OXCGN Racing Team will be doing.
We’ll be looking for some of the best Forza 3 drivers out there to compete in the various global tournaments. ALl driving a common livery bearing each drivers name and the Sites livery across all classes. So if you think you want to be part of the OXCGN Forza Race Team, then slip us an email, so that we can look at your times when Forza 3 ships from October 23rd.
Painters will be asked to submit their creations for a OXCGN-Fantec Racing Livery which will be used across all vehicles. So more news on that soon.
Forza 3 Update 12th September #4
Forza 3 World First – Bugatti Veyron’s first game appearance.
Yet another first for Forza 3, the world renowned superstar supercar, The Bugatti Veyron appears in Forza 3.
While the car has never appeared in any computer game in the past, you’ll have the chance to not only drive the 1000 bhp beast, but paint, wheel changes and other personalization one of the worlds most famous supercars
Not only has Forza 3 brought you the heavy-hitters – V8 Supercars, it now tops the list with the Superstar of Supercars. These licenses do not come cheap, and not that readily either.
NB: Forza 3 Demo Arrives Septmber 24th on XboxLIVE

Many gamers often complain that game developers should add this-or-that car, or add this-or-that track – “or else”. And make sure you developers do this modification or allow changes to this-n-that, the demands go on, just check out the 1500 odd comments below in our Forza 3 main page.
Some demands are often ludicrious when you think about it. They forget the huge expense and effort that goes into just getting the rights to allow the digital reproduction of a vehicle in a game, let alone the painstaking work of reproducing the car in fine detail for use in the game.
• Forza 3 welcomes the Bugatti Veyron
Gamers these days demand excellence, and fine details by the bucket load. Forums, boards and comments sections are littered with ‘demands’ from angered gamers, however, I feel once they take a look at the huge effort that goes into getting just ONE car, such as the Bugatti Veyron into a game, many will begin to think differently when they begin demanding other features – or – perhaps they won’t. but one can only live in hope.
• Let’s lap Sedona Raceway
Forza 3 goes Gold:
The new demo lets you get behind the wheel of five of the world’s most amazing cars on the full circuit of the game’s Camino Viejo track. The demo includes five playable cars:
- 2007 Porsche #80 Flying Lizard 911 GT3-RSR
- 2010 Audi R8 5.2 FSI quattro
- 2009 Ferrari California
- 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X GSR
- 2009 Mini John Cooper Works
• Forza 3 goes Drag Racing
Check the last segment out as the Dodge SR8 launches off the Snake-pit course.
You will be able to drive all of the cars in the demo in full cockpit view as well as experience damage, rollover and try out the game’s new rewind feature as you take turns on a beautiful Spanish mountain course inspired by the Montserrat region just outside of Barcelona, Spain. When logged into Xbox LIVE, the demo will also support official leaderboards for lap times, giving you a further taste of what players will experience in “Forza Motorsport 3.”
With today’s Gone Gold announcement and the recent announcements around the fan-designed R8 V10 5.2 FSI quattro and the exclusive Limited Collector’s Edition (which includes 10 exclusive bonus cars, VIP community status, and more), there has never been a better time to pre-order “Forza Motorsport 3.”
Additionally, Turn 10 is proud to unveil the first collection of Forza Motorsport-branded clothing and accessories for your Xbox LIVE avatar. Included in our first batch of gear are the following items. Check out the pictures below. The prices for Avatar gear will vary between 80 to 320 Microsoft Points.
- 4 T-shirt prints featuring logos from new tracks in the game
- Forza-branded Racing Shoes
- Forza-branded Baseball Cap
- Forza-branded Fingerless Racing Gloves
- Forza-branded Leather Jacket
- 2 Racing Helmet (in white or black)
- Forza-branded Race Driver Fire Suit
The Forza Motorsport 3 demo and all Avatar items will be available on Sept. 24.
See you at the finish line!
We have all heard the supposed rumour of the Forza 3 Super Elite Bundle due to be released alongside the game come October 23rd – 27th 2009.
While we have seen many a report on the early announcement and subsequent removal of the item on Amazon Germany, and BT Games, a South African retailer on 27th and 29th August respectfully, one will only come to a logical conclusion, there’s a 250 gig 360 inbound.
Not officially of course, just my gut feeling, based on lots of details being joined over time.
Forza 3 World First Images & V8 Supercars details
Forza 3 Update 6th September #3
Slip over here and check out the images we have of the Sydney event we attended on Tuesday 2nd Sept where Microsoft officially announced the inclusion of 8 x V8 Supercars (4 Holdens & 4 Fords) into Forza 3.
There’s over 160 images to check out, all run off a Flickr Slide show. The first one is up now, the other two are now ready for viewing with actual gameplay images and menue selection screens to check out.
If you notice in the second slideshow, you’ll see the two images of the Ford V8 Supercar in the selection process, god it looks great in the flesh (in-game). Almost looks too good.
Forza 3 Update 3rd September #2
Here are 16 or so V8 Supercar in-game images for you all to drool over and have you trying to sit on your hands for the next 50 days until release (Aust/NZ/Eu/UK = 23rd Oct).
As you can see, they look great, and trust me, they look even better on your screen than they do here in these images, these just do not do the game justice.
Forza 3 Update 2nd September #1
Well, having just returned home from the Forza 3 Media Event in Sydney’s Lamborghini Showroom, I can now say without a shadow of doubt, that Forza 3 is going to rock many gamers boat.
I have over 500 hours invested in Forza 2, and just 4 laps into Forza 3 and I can already tell that this game is going to eat up a lot more than the hours I’ve spent so far in Forza 2.
We had the chance to make known for the first time globally, that there will be EIGHT V8 Supercars appearing in the upcoming Forza 3 which will also be released a day early here in Austr/NZ – that being, 22nd October. With the release of 23rd October for UK and Eu and the 27th for Nth America.
Here are some more screenshots exclusively for you and probably the first ones available on the net. We have many more stills and interviews from today, along with some videos, but we wanted you to see these first as we had promised late last month.
So, without further ado . V8 Supercars – Aussie Style:
The eight V8 Supercars that will appear in Forza 3 come from eight great team, foru of which are from Holden, and the other four from Ford – of course.
• V8 Supercars Mark Skaife had this to say about the game:
“I’m extremely impressed with the polish of Forza Motorsport 3 and excited about the exposure it will bring to our great sport internationally. Aussie Holden and Ford fans can now battle head-to-head everyday of the week, and get up-close and personal with the power and precision of V8 Supercars”
While Australian V8 Spercars Chairman, Tony Cochrane commented:
“V8 Supercars is recognised globally as the best touring car championship on the planet and being included in the internationally acclaimed Forza 3 is a testament to that”
Ford:
Car #1 TeamVodafone FG Falcon 2009
Car #5 Ford Performance Racing FG Falcon 2009
Car #9 Stone Brothers Racing FG Falcon
Car #25 Britek Motorsport FG Falcon 2009
Holden:
Car #2 Toll Holden Racing Team Commodore VE 2009
Car #33 Garry Rogers Motorsport Commodore VE 2009
Car #39 Supercheap Auto Racing Commodore VE 2009
Car #51 Sprint Gas Racing Commodore VE 2009
Sadly there will be “no Aussie tracks” in thhis iteration of Forza 3, well none we were told about, and it’s highly unlikely there will be, considering this was a World-First press release and showing of the V8′s in action and playable to the general public (well, none development team – put it that way.
The even was held at the beautiful Lamborghini Showroom in William Street Sydney and was a hub of activity as 5 V8 Supercar Drivers went head-to-head to set the fastest lap time on one of the great Forza 3 tracks.
Speaking with a few of the drivers later, they al were very impressed with the cars performance, handling and details in the physics as well as look. We will have a more detailed breakdown of the day in an upcoming update for you, but hopefully this will help many of you get an idea of what to expect.
My time in the hot-seat was only 4 laps, not enough time to bed-in as it were and set a reasonable 55.473 lap time. Tanner set a blistering 50.567 on the track, and was exceptionally pleased with the whole experience.
We were using CyberKarts excellent cockpit setup (five set ups including sound and LCD screens fully adjustable seating and pedals made it a great deal easier to get comfortable and feel at home in the saddle as it were. CyberKart confirmed that they’d be working with OXCGN on the upcoming OXCGN Forza 3 Racing Cockpit along with Fantec and GAME (au).
So there will be more news coming on that soon as well as a detailed report on todays events, stay tuned (pun intended).

Forza 3 Update 28th August #5
Forza 3 Game Walkthrough & Guide
Well it’s shaping up very nicely I must say, and OXCGN is always trying to keep its Forza 3 fans up todate as much as possible, so when Gamespot had a chance to get a walkthrough with Forza 3 team member Amritz Lay, Product Manager at Microsoft Games Studios at the recent GameCOM, we thought we would go through them and pick out some details for you.
So what we’ll do here in this little info update is share with you some of the finer details of the game, then allow you to check out the video at the end. You’ll be shown the cars that will be available to you from the get-go, how the assists work, how the ‘one-button-driving’ works with the ‘Auto-brake’ feature enabled. And let’s not forget the ‘rewind’ feature, which can be used as many times as you like through a single game.
The various facets of the game are shown extremely well, and each vid is around 7 mins long, so make sure you grab a drink and some munchies, as you’ll need them.

Forza 3 Update 26th August #4
We have a few more pics for you this week from some secret sources within Turn 10, and a few videos.
One of the latest releases from Turn 10 is called Dreams and there’s another one that appeared on The Gadget Show in the UK recently. Both are well worth the 15-20 odd minutes it takes to watch it all.
• Forza 3 Dreams
Here are some in-game (off-screen) images for you to gander at. Yes, the colours are saturated, this is usually the case with normal off-screen pics in average lighting situations. But they give you an idea of what to expect and different from others laying about the net.
• Images Off-Screen
But here’s the ‘real surprise’: showing the brilliant US track Laguna Seca with its infamous “Corkscrew” (I just love that set of turns, and it brings so many undone in the approach over that rise, with the slight right-hand bend then severe left-hand and right-hand swoop). We also know that Nürburgring is definitely back for those that love the challenge of the track, both full circuit and the GPO and Sprint tracks.
There are also a few Japanese wonder-cars that will set some hearts a-flutter.

And to end for now, but most definitely not for August, we have the video of the UK The Gadget Show showing the Audi R8 and some trips around the ‘Ring’. Don’t forget, OXCGN will ideally be getting their backsides into some real steel next week at a special media-only event which will include the brilliant V8 Supercars and of course, Forza 3.

Forza 3 Update 19th August #2
Well it doesn’t rain, it just pours.
So here’s a huge number of cars to ponder over, some of which include “2008 Audi A4 Touring Car, the 2009 BMW M3 GT2 #92 belonging to Rahal Leterman Racing. No lightwieghts either as it comes in at just over 1 tonne and featuring 476 horsepower, the Audi A4 Touring covers a lot of ground in very little time.
While the BMW M3 GT2 #92 Rahal Leterman Racing will challenge most players, it’s got a whopping 491 ponies, bucket loads of mechanical grip and a very sweet 50/50 weight distribution.
Then we best not forget the other major stables either, such as Lamborghini, and it’s the most powerful, expensive and rarest of all Lamborghinis, the Reventon.
The 2008 Lamborghini Reventon is a full-tilt thrill ride that will leave even the gutsiest of drivers with a fevered brow and white knuckles. The supercar’s V12 unleashes a massive 641 brake horsepower. It costs over a million dollars and only you’ll be hard pressed to get one, as there were only 20 of these beauties ever made.
What about Nth America?
And we can’t forget our friends in Nth AMerica, now can we. With the appearence of the all-American 2009 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1. Sure, it might cost a great deal less than its European counterparts, but it will mnost certainly given them something to think about while chasing each others tails around the tracks.
It comes with a generous amount of supercharged V8 power, carbon ceramic brakes and a barely detuned race suspension, and it’s known that the 638 brake horsepower ZR1 can click up to speeds of more than 300 km/h. And that aint hay in any racers language.
Yes yes, but we want more
But of course, not everyone loves the supercars or the race proven V8 Supercars that will be appearing in the game from Australia. SO there’s some old tried-n-proven diehards in the mix this time, even right down to the little Datsun 1600. Yes, you read it right, the Dato 1600 sedan makes an appearence.
And if youy think the humble Dato is a waste, I stuffed a 327 Chev, followed up by a 2 speed powerglide and Ford 9″ rear under one of these little puppies, albeit the commercial version (ute). I can tell you, it certainly pulled a lot of head when it lite up at the lights. But back to Forza 3.
Along with a couple of highly regarded, high performance speedsters such as the 1995 Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec, the very boxy loooking 1993 Ford SVT Cobra R. This car was built with the racer in mind, and comes fitted with just the essentials as it’s been stripped down of everything from the factory, the 1993 Ford SVT Cobra R is a pure powerhouse from Ford.
Fitted with much larger brakes, stiffer coil springs, Koni shocks, larger anti roll bars and a strut tower bracing were added to increase performance at the factory. There were just 107 of these 1993 Cobra R models produced, making it one of the rarest, fastest, and most collectible Fox Body Mustangs of all time.
Last and but definitely not least is the excellent 1997 Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec which rides lower than standard GT-Rs, come fitted with race-tuned shocks and springs. These Skyline GT-Rs have one of the biggest upsides on Forza 3 from a modification standpoint so you’ll want to really consider the effort you’ll put into while you have it in your very own Forza 3 tuning garage.
But without further ado, here’s the balance of these fine beauties, and some of the others made available on the 11th which show some of the European and Japanese older and swift racers. There’s many a keen racer out there dying to get their hot clammy hands on some of these beauties, that’s for sure, so we hope these images from Turn10 suffice for now, well until 23rd Oct (Aust release date) that is.
Forza 3 Update 19th August #1
Well OXCGN is always trying to get as much news as possible on Turn 10’s excellent racing sim, Forza 3 and we haven’t let our fans down yet. But now finally we have unearthed something no one else has (yet). We’re the very first to let you know that yes, the V8 Supercars ARE coming to Forza 3 (we all knew that), but here’s the very first in-game screenshot to prove it really is a definite 110% certainty.
Forza 3 Update 10th August #01
With just on 83 days until Forza 3 hits our Aussie shores, we’re starting to get a little hot under the collar for information.
But I can understand MS’s reluctance at letting too much out just yet, as they have Halo 3: ODST about to hit the pad in the not to distant future, and I’m sure they don’t want to take the light of its torch just yet, not that it needs that light being taken off, that’s for sure.
Forza 3 is shaping up to be an excellent game, and while discussing the various things related to the game with a MS rep recently (HO staffer) I asked the enviable question, “hey mate . . any chances of getting some one-on-one hands-on time with the latest code . . ?” Which met a very amusing face and a reply I wasn’t really wanting to hear right now… “NO mate, sorry”
He informed me that sadly there’s only 2 copies here in Australia at the moment doing the rounds and there’s only TWO people allowed to actually play and demo the game and show it off here in Australia. Even one of my highest contacts at MS hasn’t had his hands on it yet, and he’s a Forza nut. So I’ll just have to wait my turn, sadly . . grumpy old sour-puss face.
But to satisfy some of you, here’s an exhaustive showing of a some of the European and American Muscle cars released a few days ago from Turn 10. But just before we do that . . . .
More news re our OXCGN Cockpit:
We have finally gained support from GAME-au, Fantec (Germany) and CyberKart (Aust) all of whom will now to help us build our OXCGN Forza 3 Racing Cockpit, and information on its construction and eventual eBay auction will be forthcoming shortly, with the proceeds going to a Sydney based Children’s Hospital that seriously needs help in a big way. If you’ve even had a sick child (or injured- long story) then you’ll appreciate what these hospitals do for the young.
OXCGN’s aim is to help wherever possible in that regard and we trust that you’ll also help when the auction is announced properly, but in the mean time, take a gander at these beauties.
With each successive release of images and videos, it’s beginning to get a little ‘disturbing’. Not in a bad way mind you, but in the fact that with each succesive pass, the detail and fine work in the background images as well as the vehicles is becoming more evident.
With Forza 3 arriving possibly 2 – 3 months prior to the Sony Head racer, Grand Tourismo 5, the expected sales of this title for the ardent racer is going to skyrocket.
Any good racer will throw platforms aside, and if possible (money and ability available) chose both Forza 3 on the 360, as well as GT5 on the PS3. You’d be a fool not to. That doesn’t stop me loving Forza 3 though, as I personally feel it offers much more personality than the upcoming GT5. But each to their own, but both games will rock, shame about the fanboys though, they’ll still be crying and complaining all over the place, no matter what.
So on with the show…
Forza 3 Update 28th July
OXCGN and Fantec have teamed up to do some excellent Forza 3 promotions, one of which is the possibility of “you” winning thheir RennSports Wheelstand fitted out with a Porsche 911 Wheel and Pedal setup all for your very own.
Full details of the specifics around the comp will be revealed later this week once final details are handled with MS.
Plus we have some great news on the Forza 3 Limited Collectors Edition, which of course I’ll be getting – dahhh.
Slip over here for full details on both ietms, and keep coming back later this week for the full details on the comp, as well as details surrounding the OXCGN-Fantec-CyberKart Project which should be alnnounced “next week”.
Forza 3 Update 17th July
The boys at Turn 10 have released some more images of various vehicles, this time the Supercars and SUV’s that will be included in the game.
I noticed that Maple Leaf is featured in the stills, andthat sent my heart all a flutter, as it’s one of my best loved tracks for flat out speed with ‘bends’ rather than ‘turns’.
Perhaps one of the best track for sheer beauty and immersion, involving detailed environments, trackside detail and even wildlife (that was all in Forza 2 – so expect more in Forza 3). One of my closest “near-misses” came on that track when coming out of the downhill run, into the very quick little “esess” just prior to the main straight. Two cars ahead, all doing in excess of 200mph, collided in the main straight under the overpass bridge.
I came sailing into the straight confronted by a huge cloud of smoke, two cars slidding sideways and twisting in both direction. I noticed a gap in between the Porsche and the wall and headed straight for it in the Zonda, and “just” scrapped the wall at 200+mph, while the other two danced with each other.
Went on to win and actually create a new lap record (PB) for that track in the Zonda. It’s these things that make Forza a real racers love come true. The AI makes mistakes and Fk’s up, and you see the results of it, and have to deal with it.
All those that say that Forza 2′s AI did nothing but follow the invisible ‘race line’ obviously have not spent hours and hours at the game like ‘some have’ (I have over 500+ hrs at Forza 2 so far). Grid and Forza 2 have a free thinking AI (well, as free thinking as a computer game can get) that makes its own mistakes, has crashes and you have to deal with those interactions.
Ideally Forza 3 will have an even better AI for those cars, and be even more unforgiving on the sim-settings.
Yes yes, I know, some simply want to ‘play boy-racer’, and Turn 10 have taken that into consideration, and even given them free run of the track with their new “Auto-brake” feature (have no idea why anyone would want to use that, but hey, whatever rocks-your-socks people.) as well as Brake aids and other various drive assists.
From the cars revealed this week, we can see that each class of racer will have something to play with. However, I can hear the moaning starting already about some cars not being included in the game, or this model not being there etc.
One has to learn that you can not have everything, and what these guys are doing with Forza 3 is nothing short of brilliant. One needs only to check out the ‘actual in-game screen’ to see the huge shift in detail, both outside, as well as inside now.
Some of these shots show superb detail right down to the stiching in the leather trim and buttons. Why, for pure immersion reasons, that’s why. I want to feel that I belong in that car when I’m screaming down the straight at over 200mph.
Sure, I won’t be checking out the upholstery at that speed, or the sideline details, while navigation a set of essess with two other cars barking right up my backside. But when I do slow down to take in the view, I can. I can check out the great interiors, amazing vistas, trackside detail, and even swing my head around and check out the passengers seats if I want to.
A game does not need 900 plus cars to make it the best, nor does it need every manafacturer that ever built a car as well as every model of Japanese imports . . . What it needs is those select number that represent the best in their fields, that can be changed and tailored to suit the racers needs.
And that is what makes Forza different from the others, UGC – (User Generated Content) and a huge sense of “community” – something that Forza has in spades.
So check out the screens and let you mouth begin to water, we’ve only just started to show some of the 400 cars that will be available when Forza 3 is release on 23rd October 09.
Forza 3 Update 9th July
We are currently working on two ventures or schemes with Forza 3. One is building what we term as The Ultimate Mid Priced OXCGN Forza 3 Cockpit which we plan on showing the construction over 2 – 3 installments. This will be aimed at true enthusists who can afford the space and gear needed, but not as expensive as some of the more elaborate systems out there.
The second is a Hands-On for OXCGN staff and my evaluation of the game in its current form. But until then, here’s the latest Forza 3 video dealing with the excellent coverage at Le Mans. If this video doesn’t make the hairs on the back of your neck stand up in anticipation, or bring a smile of glee or enthusiasm, then nothing ever will – enjoy.
• Forza 3 Le Mans
Forza 3 Update 4th July
Not a great deal to share at the moment, other than the following screens and a video from Forzamotorsport net.
The screens show some older tracks which will be a welcomed return, as they provided some of the best close racing competition in Forza 2. Plus we have the inclusion of Le Mans of course. It is an excellent high speed track and will lend its self to some of the tried and proven vehicles of all time.
Sure, many are returns, but like all racing linage, many cars race for years before moving on, and in some cases, still race in current form. We should be pleased to see the addition of Le Mans, and the high speed monsters. It would be nice to see some of the other stablemates in there like the Courage etc, but we’ll have to wait and see what is in store for us as the months unfold.
With over 400 cars (with DLC packs expect to see in excess of about 450 cars in Forza 3) the numbers of different models is going to be high. While Forza 2 was “advertized” to have 300 cars, it shipped with 305 and by the time the various packs were released, had a stable number of 350 cars all up, including all models and makes.
With Forza 3 being greater than Forza 2, we can expect more, based on a similar delivery style as previous. It worked then, it’ll work again. Extending the playability of the game over many months after release. We have the return of the different R Class cars again, which are brilliant. For those who complain about them, sorry, but that IS what racing is about.
Pitting your equally powerful car against others, where only droving and tuning skills separate the better drivers. Not the size of your turbo or how much rubber you have on the road. The bullshit stops when the flag drops is the old saying, and it has always been proven to be quite true. So get over it, the R1′ through to the R4′s will be in there – again.
We’ll have the UGC (User Generated Content) taking front stage much more than in Forza 2′s art styles that were applied to vehicles. These puppies are very well detailed now, with a huge increase in definition, clarity and detail not only in the cars themselves, but the trackside and interiors. Personally I’ll not be looking at how good my ride is at 200mph, I’ll be more focused on the next 2 corners approaching rapidly at a huge rate of knots in cockpit view thank you very much.
We have not only an advanced paint editor, but the new Video Editor and areas that Turn10 have some special things planned in the area of UGC . . Ideally, OXCGN may get its hands on a disc soon, and will publish my own personal hands on with the game, and even do a hands on comparison with several other new titles coming up to see how they all rank . . .
In the mean time, enjoy the screens above and the video from Turn 10 which will be included shortly today.
Forza 3 Update 25th June
Not a great deal to report at the moment people, Tuurn10 and MS are keeping very mum right now on the Forza 3 front. We ‘almost’ had a Forza 3 event here in Sydney yesterday (24th June) but was canceled at the very last moment by Microsoft’s PR arm Pulse.
We were invited to attend, and were to be privy to some new info, but alas, the pin was pulled at the eleventh hour. But we did learn that they are planning something big here in Oz, and we’ll definitely be part of it. There are things a-foot, but we are not allowed to mention those at the moment.
So to help those of you who haven’t had a chance, here’s the latest Forzamotorsport 3 Podcast for your enjoyment all the way from Turn10.

Forza 3 detailed update 8th June:
This being probably one of the most hit pages for Forza on google, we like to keep everyone happy with as much ‘insider stuff as possible. Sure, we could just pop everything up like the rest do and claim it to be “news” . . . but we prefer to dig up stuff ourselves, or put our own personal twist on the news and details we present.
So with this update, we’ve combined with the Australian Xbox Team in LA who did this great interview with John Wedl, Content Director on Forza 3 with “Jinx” (ex-Fragdoll Ashley Jenkins) who is now XboxLIVE online manager for Xbox Australia. Yes we have even stolen an American Fragdoll – what next.
What’s in the vid? Well some very interesting revelations and it’s worth listening to the whole interview as Ashley’s questions really get John Wedl opening up on paint customisation, how even novices will be able to enjoy racing, crash rewind and more. So read, listen and enjoy!
• NOTE: In the interest of saving space, we’ll be dropping our updates in separate posts now and criss-crossing them so you can surf between them. So to get the newest details, a great new interview with Turn 10 Content Manager, and 23 new screens, head over here right now.
Well I was “almost” right, October will see the release of our
Australian cars in Forza 3.
Plus the high likelihood of Aussie tracks. While not “Officially confirmed” regarding the tracks, it would be safe to say that his “can’t comment on that at the moment” yet saying that there are Aussie cars featured in Forza 3, does answer the question actually, but not officially.
• Aussie Cars ! Aussie Track? Live Interview From LA
Our OXCGN Affiliate, OzBoxLive grabbed this interview at the Forza 3 booth at E3 today and here it is for your listening and viewing pleasure. More specific details to follow. And yes, you’ll here it from him, we are getting a much more detailed Paint Editor in Forza 3, which as Mark points out in the interview, makes me an especially happy little vegimite.

beloved Forza Motorsport 3 across all regions.
Nice shinny new Fantec Porsche 911 Wheel for Forza 3 nuts outthere. Looks excellent and the pedal setup is rock solid. OXCGN will have some hands on time with it over the next few days. locked up with Forza 3 – naturally.
Will a showing of 400 cars, huge tracks, and realistic damage, full 360 deg in-car views like PGR, and a huge new boost to the Paint Editor.
Plus, a few new features that will surely blow gamers away, one of them being the Video Editing ability. Not just a simple cut-n-splice, but a full blown editing program where you can create and share your events with all the Forza community, and those on your Friends list via XboxLIVE
• Official Debut Forza 3 Trailer
After the trailer and this little read, you might want to slip over to here and check out my own daily thoughts on the game, and some new info as well.
You can check more details here at the article we published during the event, and we’ll have LOTS and lots of hands-on time when the Aussie E3 Assault Team gets to play Forza 3 in the next few days.
So standby for a blow by blow description of the game, cars, tracks and what to expect. It’s hard to give it all to you here and now, as we only saw a small glimps of what we;ll be getting come release, but from what was shown at the Keynote, it’s nothing short of “Bloody Brilliant Mate”
We’ll be adding to this in a short while, but just wanted to get this up so you can spread the word.
• Forza 3 Community Trailer
Update 30-05-09
Well we’ve been told to expect something special at E3, and OXCGn has been “invited” to a “special meeting” with Microsoft reps at E3. They have four ‘secret’ games to announce and by all accounts, Forza 3 will be one of the games “officially confirmed” yet 4 others wil be “New IP’s”.
In fact, our Top 10 and E3 Tips are going up tomorrow which list 10 games not mentioned before that are – “Exclusives” – so make sure you keep an eye out on the main page for the links for that.
Our team will be in the Microsoft Keynote on the 1st June, the day before E3 officially kicks off, and – they will have “Hands-On” time with the titles raised at the keynote.
• Forza 3 Video Creation feature
Soon as we do have more, this page will reflect that news. Here’s some pics to tide you over until tomorrow and a vid coming shortly.
Update 22-05-09:
Forza 3 Le Mans Announcement 12th June 09:
Will Forza 3 include the famous circuit, and be announced on the 12th June, the day before the famous race? My educated guess is – YES. And it will be announce after the title has been “most likely officially confirmed at E3″!?
The 24 HEURES DU MANS is run on the 13 – 14th June, so the date on the image fits in perfectly with pre-race announcements.
Thanks to our affiliate lvl2gamer we have this neat image of the track with the date “save the date” embedded on it.
Well I can assure you, you WILL know about Forza 3 before the 12th June from – OXCGN. We have an appointment with MS when we land in LA on four “secrete games” to be announced during E3, and I’m 99% certain that Forza 3 is amongst those four titles.
I know that certain art assets have arrived at a Sydney firm for work to be begun on the release of “certain titles”. This usually has a 3-4 month lead up window before release, making it around the November period, which would fit in with my predictions of a Nov 11-12th Release date for Forza 3 (OXCGN’s prediction for release, not an official statement)
The Le Mans announcement will be to confirm that Forza 3 will have it as part of the itinerary for the game, and most likely an integral part of the games career mode . . most likely. That would be around 1 week after E3, which gives them plenty of mileage post E3, and a secondary boost after that to stretch it further.
All makes for good marketing stratergy actually.
It would make perfect sence to have it at Le Mans, giving the game 3 full days, including the day of the announcement, to be in the worlds eye. A perfect launching pad (excuse the pun) for the game, with E3 still hot on the gaming press, ensuring it further public (not gamer) notice.
Being a car nut and fan, I’d have my money on the track being included, and that it will be announced at E3 and at the pre-race events for Le Mans. But I’m not a gambling man, so don’t take me up on a prper bet – just yet.
OXCGN will be involved with some local (Aust/NZ) promotions for the game, whenever it is launched, which will be with a major Auto Show promotor here in the Asia Pacific region. SO stay posted for that as well.
The race was made even more famous in 1971 when actor and racing driver Steve McQueen debut the race in a rather dry but action packed movie called, Le Mans. If you want some old thrills and spills, get it out for nostalgia.
Rest assured, OXCGN will be up to its elbows in grease with Forza 3. RIghtin there wiyth the promotions, news and competitions – Oh, I didn’t mention the OXCGN Forza 3 Competitions – did I !? Damn.
More on that in the next uodate.
Update 11-05-09:
Naturally we’ll be under embargoes, so please – no pestering about getting the news early. We’ll post it LIVE using Cover-It-Live, so when you see that up on the main page come June 1st (US time), then load it up.
Microsoft know we are the most hit-up Forza 3 page on the net each day. With thousands of eager fans hanging off the page each week. All just waiting for a small glimmer of news on Forza 3. Well I can tell you that they have taken note of that fact, and they will be “helping us” disseminate the information as quickly as possible.
My personal bet is that Forza 3 details will be one of the several games – as yet unannounced, that will be amongst the keynote on June 1. OXCGN will have a team there that will also be doing several “Hands-On” plays of the various games. One of OXCGN team members is a true Forza fan, and he’ll be reporting on any playable code that is made available to the press.
OXCGN has been pushing for this for some time, and as we have now mover=d to being the fastest growing Xbox site on the Net, and the biggest Xbox Community site in Australia, Microsoft have finally paid us some attention.
So rest assured, when we hear any printable news (no – we WILL NOT break any NDA’s for the sake of early views – so don’t even ask) then you’ll be reading it right here, and also in the OXCGN E3 2009 News pages, the OXCGN Live Podcast, and the OXCGN Cover-It-Live feed direct from the various keynotes and presentations over the week.
I know it’s not much, but it’s all I can share at this time, and rather than give you nothing, at least we can share that OXCGN has finally been given the opportunity to share the news with you all – officially.
So stay tuned, and early news we CAN print, you’ll get it as soon as possible here. Keep checking the Brazil video and I’m still waiting on some good and kind hearted gamer to translate the discussion for me. Simply email me with the transcript, and you’ll naturally get credited for it on the highest googles searched Forza 3 page on the net, OXCGN
Update 30-04-09:
If you have had your ear to the ground you would have heard that a Microsoft media conference in Brazil via it’s largest Forza community, PortalXBOX. While there they (Microsoft) unleased a little snippet of info on Forza 3, very small mind you, but you can catch the whole item here . . .
The guys at PortalXBOX whacked it up on YouTube and we grabbed it from there for all our Forza 3 loving fans.
Hope you can speak Portuguese. You’ll find it in at around the 6.58 mark or there abouts. If one of our kind Brazilian friends could translate the section, that would be great . .
Plus this IS the official Forza 3 logo that will adorn our next iteration
• Forza 3 Unofficially Announced? – well sort-of
• Update: 16-04-2009:
The news on Forza 3 has quietened substantially of late. A distinct sign that “something is brewing” inside Microsoft.
All enquires to the people I know have met with a blanket wall of silence, which does mean there’s an announcement due within a short period of time.
OXCGN is now the highest ranked Forza 3 destination of Google, it has over 700 – 800 Forza Fans logging in every day looking for information, and the post has almost 1000 comments in it, the lucky person to be the 1000th could well get a treat as well. But that’s another story. OXCGN is now ranks 159,622 on Alexa globally and has just managed a Google Page Rank of 3/10 (on the lower scale, but getting there – 5/10 is excellent).
Aimed with this information, facts and statistics, OXCGN is running a very “outrageous proposal” to MS locally that could see us ideally being present when the news does break, or even something more grandiose – all going well. We want to bring you the loyal supporters of not only OXCGN, but the Forza Franchise as much new news as humanly possible, as fast as possible.
So be assured, that soon as we have ‘anything, no matter how small, or significant, this page will ‘ideally’ have it first.
Not Directly Forza 3 Related
But Car Buff stuff many Fans have been wanting in the next Forza 3: Rally Cars . . !?
While it’s not Forza 3 related, it is about racing, which is something we all obviously have in common. So many of you have been asking for rally cars and off-road in Forza 3, which I ‘seriously’ doubt will happen by the way, this will at least will ‘hopefully’ satisfy some of those cravings for the time being. The interview with world renowned Rally Driver Ken Block and his involvement in the next iteration of Colin Mc Rae: DiRT 2 is well worth watching. As I’m sure it will get some adrenaline going for those junkies that love jumps and ‘catchin-air’….
On big thing to remember is, that with excellent games like Colin Mc Rae: DiRT2, why would you want Forza 3 diluted with the addition of this sort of thing. Leave each genre to their own specific style. There’s no need to meld and change something that is obviously working really well. And inthe process, change the very thing that makes the game (Forza) so unique.
So in the meantime, please enjoy this interview until I have more news on Forza 3. And keep your eye out on that fastest car, if you can.
• Coline Mc Rae: DiRT 2 – Interview with Ken Block
Worlds Fastest Street Car
• Fastest street car
Everyone is always screaming for Drag Cars in Forza 3 . .Well, no drag cars in Forza 3, but how’s about the Worlds Fastest Street car, driven on Pump gas, and in street legal trim, right down to the cup holders, blinkers and everything elses needed for a street driven car, that does 6 sec 1/4 mile runs in standard trim.
Rod Saboury’s 1963 Corvette is a street-legal car that exceeded 210 mph at a track in Ohio. (Baltimore Sun photo by Lloyd Fox / November 24, 2008)
Going from zero to 60 mph in one second will make people stop and stare, but Rod Saboury need not drive his 2,400-horsepower, twin-turbo-charged Corvette that fast to grab attention.
Sometimes, the Millers resident and National Hot Rod Association driver cruises along Carroll County’s streets or pulls up into a McDonald’s drive-through, and then heads turn – fixated on the Corvette’s dragster-engine sound, fire-red exterior and hot-rod designs.
“It’s like driving a UFO on the highway,” says Saboury, 58, whose 1963-model Corvette is widely regarded as the fastest street-legal car on the planet. The car so impressed the editors at Super Chevy magazine that the 35-year-old publication named Saboury’s Corvette as its inaugural Car of the Year in its February issue.”
Yes, keep dreaming, but now drag cars in Forza 3 . . .
NEW Forza 3 Item of Interest
Could this be the cover art for Forza 3?
Or a well executed and cleverly designed piece of work by a budding design artist?
Found this while on the scrounge around the net yesterday looking for anything Forza 3 related and it seems like a decent attempt at a solid looking covert art for the game.
Sure, it’s by an artist, but who’s to say such artists impressions are not taken up by various development studios and Publishers alike. Certainly looks the piece ad reflects what Forza 3 is all about, especially when you read the description on the back.
NewsFlash:
Check out our Team OXCGN Racing page, new NFS: Shift screens that will blow your mind. No more mister nice guy . . . this is pure racing style and visuals to boot.
I have a gut feeling this game will be along the same lines as GRiD from Codies and will have even more redeeming qualities for racing fans.
While some might not believe the art is in fact Official, I thought it best to put the source and the design studio responsible up in this update so as to keep Forza fans informed.
As you can see Kaarbo Design have been retained to do work for many studios and have done the work for Forza 1, and as you will see from the screen shot, have Turn10 on their client list, with Forza 3 art as part of their current portfolio.
![]()
Yes, very Official Forza 3 Artwork!
If you slip over to Kaarbo Design, you will also see a significant amount of Microsoft Xbox Division XboxLIVE art and video sequences that they have done. Some which is rather stunning actually.
Just trying to keep the information up todae and as clear as possible.
Update 2 Jan 09:
Here’s the various “Official” stylized poster art for Forza 3 . . .
We are currently compiling an article on Forza 3, which will be a stand alone item separate to this post here, so as soon as it is completed, the link will be placed at the top of this post, as well as all major gaming news portals.
It seems there will be ‘around the 400 – 450 cars in this line up, which is around 100 more vehicles than Forza 2 has after all the downloadable content packs are included. Which will be just ‘nice’, as personally I can NOT see the benefit of having 900 – 1000 odd cars in a racing game aimed at being a simulator. But that’s just me.
Most of the major tracks will be included, and once I have any firm details on these, you’ll be the first to know about it. An internal contact I have is heading to the US in January for discussion of promotional aspects of the game, which will then come into effect probably in Feb. Meaning that the game will most likely see a late 3rd quarter release . . . which will be a few months prior to the ‘expected’ release of Sony’s GT5 in December (Christmas 09)
MSG and Turn10, who ARE doing this iteration, like to involve a great deal of pre-release hoopla and will ideally have the whole Forza Racing Team involved again doing Real World Time Trials with the same cars that will be in the game. Much like they did with Forza 2.
Here in Australia, a major Auto Promotions company has been contracted and will be involved in a series of events prior to the games release, which will span several months and much $$ and competitions. So stay tuned, no puyn intended, and trust you enjoy the poster art. We may have some official art up for grabs at some stage, as we have contacts with the design studio doing the Australian versions of the art for all mechandise and posters etc.
More Forza 3 news as it happens, and a new article to appear on the site dedicated to just current ‘facts’ on Forza 3, not some “Wish List or features”. So please keep your eyes peeled for that – soon, and hit that RSS feed button right now to stay in touch with events as they take place.
• You can also check out OXCGN’s Forza 2 Vehicle Image Page for a look ate many custome paint jobs carried out by the author. Well worth a view if you enjoy “Custom Paintwork”

UPDATE: 14-Nov-08:
Well people, I’ll be bringing you some VERY good news soon, can’t say too much now, but soon as I can, I’ll be letting you know, suffice to say my “predictions” have born fruit, and we will see Forza 3 in 2009. We will be having some comps based around it, some special events for Australian based gamers and be able to bring you all up-todate information as it happens.
We’ve been working on getting more information for you from MS, as this is the hardest hit url on Forza on the net now. And we owe it to our supporters to keep you updates as we get news to-hand. I can’t say anything specific, but from what I have heard, you’re all in for an ‘amazing’ experience come Forza 3 release time in 2009.
So on with the “wish list” . . . you can wish as much as you want, but I’m sure the guys at MS have nailed down the number and types of cars that will be in Forza 3 – around the 400+ mark I believe (with more via additional Downloadable packs etc). They have most certainly been reading your comments, and many other Forza 2 supporters comments from around the world, and you’ll notice some of those comments and wishes come true in the next iteration I’m sure.
So once I ‘can’ give you more details, you will most certainly get it here FIRST. So stay tuned and I’ll try to squeeze more info out, yet not give away the game all together. That wouldn’t be much fun now, would it. Tell your friends, spread the url and site around, and we’ll keep you well informed.
Well for those who doubted my comments after Forza 2 was released, where I stated that Forza 3 would be coming along in ‘roughly’ 18-24 months – It does seem that Turn10 ‘may’ have the reigns yet again, but details are sketchy at the moment . . . with news coming from Surfer Girl Reviews Star Wars soon. Yes, that’s the name of her blog – work it out with her . . .
Click the image for XboxOZ360′s Flickr stable of cars
Naturally I’ll be watching this with baited breath, as it’s a game that has got me by the ‘short-n-curlies’ that’s for sure. So keep posted, and as news comes to hand, you’ll be the first to know, well perhaps not THE first, but you get my point.
Update:
Here’s an “extensive” Forza 3 Car Wish List put together from one very dedicated guy over at Forzamotorsportnet forums, “Drows” follow the “read More” for the FULL listing.
Plus, what is it that you’d like to see in Forza 3
- hey, that rhymes . .
Some of the things on my Forza 3 Wish List are as follows . .
• First and foremost:
Keep the entire game as a SIM, okay Turn10 . . . !! Do NOT do a Codies on us and turn the game into an arcade abomination. If you do, you’ll loose almost all of your dedicated and loyal fan-base who enjoy building, tweaking and racing the cars on real-world tracks with real-world cars. That IS a certainty . . . just like we know the sun comes up in the morning, if you change the concept of the game now, you’ll loose fans big time.
NEW UPDATE-Addition #3 (23-02-08)
#3-1 • Ability to upgrade a car when choosing to Download a Vehicle Settings from another Driver’s settings in Career Mode.
One of the biggest bug-bears I find is having to go through a list of upgraded options when you donwnload a vehicles Settings off Forzanet from another drivers vehicle. Selecting, de-selecting various options and upgrades so that t he car is identical to the one the settings apply to
How beautiful would it be, if when we Downloaded the settings, it would automatically choose to give you the “Option” to enable those Upgrades (provided we had enough credits naturally) as well as disable those upgrades we may have fitted earlier, which then simply adds them to our pre-purchased upgrades list for that car. To install at some other time when we needed.
This would eliminate a huge trial and error that is currently the case, especially around wheel, tyre type/compound, width and makes. As these are simply generically listed as Upgraded tyre, type/compound, width, size etc.
#3-2 • A Scalable or Self-Ramping AI that adjusts itself to the current Users abilities.
Currently there are 3 simple Difficulty levels, 2 of which as basically useless on the lower settings (unless racing inthe upper skill levelssuch as R series, where all cars are the same performance levels, and can prove a decent adversay, especially in High Difficulty.
If there were say 5 levels, and also the ability to turn of as an “Option” – scalable/ramping difficulty that went about the normal Highest level. Similar to that availabel in the TOCA series under Custome Difficulty.
Where you can go as high as 125% difficulty. Which definitely ups the anti when racing AI. This would help those of the Forzanet groups practice against some worthy opponents so that they are more skilled when it comes to decent on-line competitions, learn to work with real, hard, want-to-win AI, rather than an AI that you rarely see unless you are overtaking them on the last few laps.
#3-3• In Pit Stops, add ability to fix simple body damage that affect arodynamics:
When we pitstop, we can add a full tank of fuel, new tyres and fix suspension, but what about those all important arodynamics, that actually DO play a role in how a car behaves on the track.
Something as simple such as the “quick-fix body repair option” that enabled the repair of Rear and front airdams as they would normally in a race situation. They could even make this “visually” different, with the addition of Gaffer/duct tape over the offending areas on the front. Much like in the real races.
#3-4 • Custom Races in SP-Career:
Of what a blessing it would be if we could set up races, or a “Series” in SP-Career using High Difficulty AI that incorporated different Classes and tracks so we could fashion a Series that went across a variety of degrees of difficulty, rather than being stuct at a maximum of 6-8 laps all on one Class setting.
Not a Map Editor, as we shouldn’t be able to adjust Real-world tracks, as that’s not what they are designed for. And the game isn’t PGR3/4, but a semi-sim with real world tracks. But give enthusiasts the ability to set up a Home-Grown Series, similar to what is available in say TOCA 2 and TOCA 3 (V8SC’2 and V8SC’3).
We could save these setting and Series, so we could invite those on our Friends List to compete against each other over a Series, rather than single races on Live. This would benefit both XboxLive and the SP-Career mode as well. Giving the SP-Career Mode much more re-playability and likewise with Live.
#3-5 • AI Bots on Live:
With some lobbies not being able to fill all positions quickly, it would be great if there was an option to add a few AI Bot driven cars, choosen from the AI Drivers list, which also had a decent difficulty level allocated to them, depending on the skill of those real-life competitors.
Again, adding even more playability on Live, more races, higher use of Live and greater competion, especially if the AI was Scalable/Rampable and adjusted its self up, or down, according to the players difficulty level exhibited in the race.
#2-1 • A much better car selection option:
The current long line of cars on screen creates havoc with the games ability to read each car and display it. You can’t skip into classes, or make quick selections, which makes any type of vehicle selection a right pain in the butt.
They need a similar Pit or Race Garage mode to say what is offered in PGR3 that allows you to move cars around into garages to suit different classes, as well as have an area to store those cars you wouldn’t be seen dead in. Offering some choice over where YOU place the cars you have tweaked, painted and regularly race with, so you have instant access to them, without the need to scroll through the entire list of 300 cars to getto the one you want, and, face the possibility of it freezing on you in the process.
Sure, you can add a car to your Favourites List, which places the cars you most like at the front, but if you have an extensive stable of vehicles, it’s still basically the same . . .
Out of all the things on the game, this is my pet hate. It’s the only thing that continually freezes my 360, and you can really hear it crunching the data when you scroll through the cars. Come on Turn10, you can give us something better – please.!
#2-2 • More interaction with crew during pitstops:
Which I believe would add some realism to it and have a Timed pitstop based on damage done to the car, not just a basic full repair and fuel like it currently is in one set time. Much like the various F1 games around. After all, it IS a sim isn’t it. Plus adding some more pit-crew members nd items in the various garages would add to the static pics , as coming in for a pitstop and seeing empty garages, with one guy standing in it is somewhat disappointing. A little thing I know, but one that could add some immersion into the game.
#2-3 • The ability to add DLC to the Career Mode
Rather than just use the tracks they (Trun10) ask us to pay for only in non-competitive races with “yourself” in Time Trials and Free Race mode – Sorry Turn10, that’s boring as bat dropping.
#2-4 • Rear View Mirror in Bonnet Mode:
At least a decent Rearview mirror which IS available in one flying carpet view mode could easily be implemented into the No-The-Bonnet View mode. Not a huge thing to ask for . . or is it . . . ?
#2-5 • A better and more detail Windscreen View Mode
rather than the “just” the on-bonnet view mode would ad a great deal more depth into the game. I understand the huge task it would take to model all the 300 plus care for an interior view, but as decent view-point closer to the windscreen would only require a little bit more car modeling for the designers point of view.
#1-1 • Bring Back The Drag Events properly at the CopperHead Test Track
They were awesome in Forza 1 and there’s a huge following in the Forzamotorsportnet forums that have “unofficial” drag races organized. So the addition of the mode would be definitely welcomed by many
These are just a few items I’d like to see, and I’ll update it as I work on more . . do you have any ideas as to what could be “sensibly” included into the next iteration of the hugely successful Forza Motorsport Franchise . . ? and I mean “sensible – okay . . .
#1-2 • Better Replay abilities in the SP game.:
Currently, the replay and fast-forward/reverse function of the game is terrible . . . A simple speed-fast-forward is all that’s needed. As presently, it chooses where it will fast forward to, and you have no control over it as to just where you want it to stop, other than playing through the entire race section by section. Something along the lines of PGR Series replay system would be great . . .
#1-3 • FULL Mirror effect in the Decal Manager/editor:
Currently, any decal or paint you do on one side, can not be mirrored exactly onto the other dise of the vehicle. Strips come out backwards or upside down. There’s a rough work-a-round for it, but a Mirro Side A to side B would save HEAPs of time and allow those creative types more control over their masterpieces. And some of them are true masterpieces.
#1-4 • More layers in the Paint Editor – Please:
While we though 100 was great in Forza 1, and that 1000 was brilliant in Forza 2, double that in Forza 3 would just be insaine, and allow some really detailed creations. Plus the additions of more various shapes and decals wouldn’t go astray. Plus the ability to perhaps create your own shapes freehand somehow . . ?? Or import Photoshop files. But that has issue with regards to various Copyright issues, so that probaly won’t be considered, but it would be nice.
#1-5 • Additional Real-World Tracks please;
Some were missing from Forza 2 that were well received in Forza 1, all real-world “Race Track” . . .some perhaps some more older ones could make a reappearance, and one or two newer ones. I know Blue Mountains was popular, even if it was wrongly mapped btw, so if you do include it, please get it right this time. Or say Surfers Paradise, Eastern Creek and Phillip Island. As these tracks see international races throughout the year, not just V8 Supercars races.

The graphics look amazing! I think that if Le mans allready being shown in the game that they should have the night and day situations and other climate such as an unexpected downpour of rain during the race! This would be a cool feature. Also the teams at Le mans have 2-3 drivers in a car. I think it would be cool if you planned to do this race in a long span of time (such as the RaceDriver Grid game, an hour, or two hours) that you could switch between stints and feel the real racing experience of Le mans. And also have mechanical failures on your car or the other cars. Which i saw in the video, i only saw 8 cars driving on the track so i’m asuming that there will only be a max of 8 cars at once, but if i’m wrong, then another suggestion of having mixed classes.(LMP1, LMP2, LMPGT1, and LMPGT2 Etc..)
i hope they develop there rotarys i really do its such a wicked engine desgin and the sound is like no other so i really really really hope they develop

Instead of putiing new cars the game which they will have 400+ cars, They should make where you can buy, sell, install, degrade upgrades in the lobby. I mean it would save a lot of time.

Put Mosport in this game, i saw a video up top somewhere on it, it looks like an awesome track!!
Haha
there is so much talk about suv’s and trucks
Ive heard in one of the interviews about them putting in a small amount of SUV’s
Thats fine with me, it’s just that i would only want them to be perfomance suv’s
Example: Porsche Cayenne Turbo S, or any cayenne for that matter, BMW X5 M, Jeep Srt 8, Audi Q7, Mercedes ML63 AMG, ETC
Just not an everyday one like a ford explorer or toyota 4runner
hay i agree with barbed wire and big rims those are some hot ass ideas
yo dude i feel you man but thay sould olso put the option of puting big rims on your cars im talking about 24s 28s and even 30s i know this aint the ghetto but that would make tha game hotter then what it already is
i think that u guys need more cars lick more mersadies benz yuo sould put all the a and c class put the opel speedster and it would be nise to put suv/trucks
i always admired the body styling of the ford maverick grabber. I own a 1972 ford maverick grabber, grabber blue with gold stripes, very sharp. and ive always wondered y they’ve never put a maverick in a game, their are a ton of enthusiasts that like the mavericks. also very common car back when new so my father says. he is the original owner. anyway i think they should put a maverick in forza 3. but thats my opinion
this game needs a whole section for drifting and drifting cars and all the sponsors. it needs cars like toyota soarer toyota mark and chaser and the normal 240sx not the s14
hey, did this website break or something? no one is writing anything
No,Just Turn 10 are keeping very very quiet after E3, but we hope to have some info next week . . . we’ve only published 3 reviews, 3 articles, 2 impressions and updated 4 pages of info this week, so please forgive us . . .(jk btw)
Lets get the 91 civic si hatchback in……………….weres my EF fans at
you do know that they have suv’s in there now
mate, show me a list, that’s official, and I’ll believe you. Not that I don’t, I just like Official Confirmation over wishful thinking.
We have had no info from Turn10 on what is included outside those already shown ..so yes, if you have a list, then please do ‘show’ us.
Does anyone else have anymore information? I am still wondering about the dashboard camera and the helmet camera. Are the still going to have it for EVERY car? I hope so because that’s just about the only thing about Forza Motorsport 2 that I had problems with.
It’s very very quite on the Forza 3 front at the moment mate. They have something planned for real soon, as we were tentatively invited to a Forza 3 event next week, but it has not been confirmed – yet. So as you know, son as we get info, it’ll go up asap.
parlitooo@gmail.com
hai, ai write english not good, ai dont understand whis over 400 cars is going be in the forza3 ??
p.s thanks for replays
I WANT TURBO SOUNDS AND SPICIFIC TURBO BRANDS TO CHOOSE FROM ALSO WE NEED TO BE ABLE TO POP THE HOOD AND LOOK INSIDE THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT THAT WOULD BE GREAT.MAKE THE SUPRA AS BAD ASS AS IT IS IN REAL LIFE.AND ID LOVE TO BE ABLE TO RUN A 300ZX OR SUPRA NO TURBO.[JUST FOR LAUGHS OF COURSE]
please, please get all the toyota celica GT-4s BMW 325I SPORT (1989) and the TOYOTA COROLLA TWINCAM 1600 (1984) RWD, and the FWD COROLLA TWINCAM………… I THINK THAT WOULD MAKE THE GAME REALY GOOD
leave more cars like the citreon saxo nd pugeot gti fiat uno 1.4 turbo make sure there are more cars like this in the next 1 will be fun to do upgrades to them
the must be a drag strip!!!
just a comment on the le mans feature: i LLLOOOOVVVEEE the 24 hours of le mans, but i don’t think forza did job on the racing side of things. from what i saw, the graphics of the track and cars is spectacular, but le mans with 8 cars?? Seriously?? And if i’m driving an audi R10 or Peugeot 908, i’m not gonna be racing toyota gt ones, porsche 962s, or peugeot 905′s. (were in the 2000′s now give me pescarollos, courages, creations, zyteks, etc etc)
GRiD did it amazingly, with the four classes, and all up to date cars, but grid’s cornering os unreal. to see what i mean with forza’s le mans type in forza 3 le mans on youtube and watch the video
That’s only 12 of the selected cars, who said it was ALL the R1 class vehicles . .?, who said there wouldn’t be others in the game?
No one, they are leaking cars out as teasers every few weeks, and by the time all 400 are named, you won’t be so unhappy about the selection, if you (generalization mate) are, then you basically can never be satisfied.
I just knew this would happen as soon as Turn10 started releasing cars and tracks. Gamers are never satisfied these days, which is a crying shame, as they get games that could never of been possible even 3 years ago, yet here they are, sittting on your bookcases for you to play – yet ppl complain. Has me baffled completely
dude i was simply stating my opinion.
i was barely complaing, and you have to agree with me that you shouldnt be in a 2007 audi r10 racing a 1987 porsche 962c, or a 1993 peugeot 905. You said this game wouldn’t be possible 3 years ago. Well guess what. those 3 years have passed now, and i think forza is ready for some real lmp’s. agree??
Seriously.. if you put the first generation scion xB in this game I would pay 300 dollars for it.
i just hope they have the car i own on there

What about the:
Forza Motorsport 3 Le Mans Announcement 12th June 09.
Anyone?
well it’s just the 12th here in AUst, so that means it’s still the 11th there ?? anyone!?
hey Oz,
on that one video with the cars sliding around (with the r8′s headlights in the beginning, and where the ford gt crashes) do you see the part where the maserati granturismo does a quick 180 degree turn in a blink of an eye? Is that the physics of the game or is that just editing done in the video editor?
That’s the new Video Editor at work mate. You can compile a group of moves and slice them into one seamless event, as if you have all these g=cars doing this amazing stunts at the same time. Lik ethe spin and then driving backwards etc. Not possible with the actual game, but possible as a single move and then captured . .
I’m sure we’ll hear more on the features as it gets closer, plus we’ll be working our magic to see what we can glean from those in-the-know.
One word: Motorhomes
Has anyone every seen the Top Gear episode where they do motorhome racing? Hilarious!
i know it sounds old but i would really like to see a ford sierra cosworth 500, i just love the cosworth its so coool
I think every last car on this entire page should be in FM3. + more american cars
+trucks (pick ups)
+suvs
-no no no no vans!!!

PS: The in-car view is needed for EVERY car no matter what.
dude, OZ
this game looks like poop
it seems too unreal
sure, im waiting for another forza but the flashbaks, and that one video (with the cars sliding around, and where the ford gt crashes) it looks like NFS
please update me and tell me if its worth it.
If you bother to “read” it, that vid you are talking about is what YOU can create with the new Video Editor, So you can create basically anything you wish, no matter how CRAZY it might be, by merging several different videos and cars in one video . .good god, I wish some ppl would learn to read and actually LISTEN to what is clearly stated in the videos and write on screen.
I fear for our world when I read some of the comments and complaints of some readers.
Watch the DEVELOPERS demo at E3, that explains a great deal more, and the old adage always pays, don’t knock things until you have tried them – which certain applies here. Having spoken with those who have played it, the game is a great deal better than the previous, and miles ahead of anything ‘currently’ available on consoles anywhere.
ANd if youknew what”gay”"meant, you’d choose another word mate. Gay actually means, happy, joyful and enjoyable. Plus it means homesexual in terms. So saying that means absolutely nothing in relation to what you’re talking about. Learn the english language and if you don’t like something, then use the correct words.
The “flash-back is great for those who love the arcade style of gameplay, which is why it’s there.
The serious racers would not be using it.
The game is designed for BOTH the serious racers as well as the arcade lover, even right down to ppl like perhaps you, who don’t know what a brake is, and have installed an auto-brake option so you can fly around the track smashing into things with glee. So do the world a favour and grow up please.
OZ,
) but i did havee experience with flashback.
first of all, I’m not saying forza 3 is gay. And auto brake? me? never gonna happen. I like simulation, not NFS Pro Street. Yes, good point on the video editor (haha im so stoked, that I have no time to read
it’s called GRiD.
and it’s what made that game bad.(also the unrealisti turning an such) But i guess it’s for the arcade style drivers.
do you know when we will be able to pre-order it.
and update us on that, cause i’ll do it in one second.
do you have a gamertag? id love to own you in forza 2 (or 3 when it comes)
GamerTag is – well – XboxOZ360 – funny that hehehe.
Actually, I find Grid really challenging, especially on the harder difficulties, and once you’ve got the Global Licence many of the races are NOT that easy at all. Sure, the flashback is there, but in all honesty, I’ve rarely used it, other than to see just how I misjudged a corner, gone at a line incorrectly etc.
In the Developers vid, you’ll hear the guy say that that is what the flashback is more for, to see where you’ve gone wrong with a corner, and ideally fix that up. Sure, you can’t use it in Live mode and such, but for those of us that want to get a line right on a new track, it could help educate us on where to go into a corner and where to leave it.
I just hate the term gay, as it’s a complete misuse of the word, and does not make the user sound all that bright or intelligent. Honestly . ..most that hear it coming out ppl’s mouths just roll their eyes and wonder why use a word that means the complete opposite, Perhaps lousy, lame, dumb, goofy, odd, or down right stupid would be best suited – ??
Have no idea of a pre-order period yet, or if there’ll be a CE or LE edition, which I’m 99% sure there will be. We’ll have hands-on time outside of E3 really soon on our de-bug 360 and we’ll be able to report on that IF we have the release to do so, which seeing that it’s out at E3, we should have.
I’ve spent a total of almost 400 hours in Forza 2 mate, and in some timed events, come as low as 200th globally . . . . . not sure of placement snow, as I’ve b=not been playing it for a while, been to hooked onto Grid and cleaning up all the races in that, and Race Pro. If you like Sims, then that IS a game to get. No frills or bells and whistles, just honest, down to the bone racing, and quite hard at that on the higher settings, which is why many don’t like it on consoles.
Are you like a spokesperson for Forza Motorsport 3, xboxoz360? Because it seems like you know ALOT about it.
No mate, just have a few com=nnections andhave spent about 500 plus hours in Forza 2, same in PGR3 . . . just love car games. Also in a previous life, used to build cars from theground up (Street Machines) and do custom Spray Painting for a living. Basically creating Custom Cars . . was heaps of fun.
I don’t think that YOU should be telling us this. EX: You said that there are no cars or trucks or vans etc. Why don’t the “connections” tell us themselves. We can cut out the middle-man. No offense to you or your ego, but I’d rather hear it from them. -vettey4ever (XboxLive Gamertag)
One car I would really like to see in the game is:
Mustang Shelby GT500 Super Snake (2008)
Woah, whos bothered about ego, the guy is full of information and has another avid fan of car games recognise somone who knows his stuff, keep up the good work mate
Thanks mate, good to see more ‘real’ car fans here.
dude
that flashback feature is so gay
turn 10 fails
that totally made the game no where near as good as i thought
please add the Lamborghini Reventon
I also like the INSIDE VIEW (which if i remember correctly you said they woludnt have it)
And I also enjoy having a clutch
No, I was saying that I’d plav=ce money on them having it, and if they didn’t, then there’d be something wrong, as almost all major racing games do now, and the ommison of that view would be just suicide for a game of this calibure.
In-car view, menues and navigation is in 30fps, while all 3rd person views are in 60fps also, so presently, the games runs inboth 30 and 60 fps . .
I would love for them to get the exhaust notes right. Some of the cars do not sound true to the original. For example the Impreza in Forza 2 sounds nothing like a boxer engine should and just sounds like they used the same sound as all the other straight 4′s.
Also, has anyone else noticed how the cars seem to move so slow, like there is no real sense of speed in the game 70mph just does not feel like 70mph. Definately think they need to up the pace.
Other than that, one of the best series of racing games I have -ever- played.
Note sure what view you play your Forza 2 in mate, I’d suggest playing it in the 1st person, back of bonnet view, not the bumper-cam view (lowest to th eground – looks great but unrealistic unless your an insect heheheh).
YOu willnotice a distinct change in the sounds of the engines, the ground sounds, track sounds, ambient noises such as birds etc.
WHile you’re in that mode, and moving, click “A” for rearview, and you will also noitice the engine sounds change yet again, just as if you had spun your head around to look at something, the engines of the read engine cars become noticable louder and more ‘direct’, while the fron wheel drive cars lose some engine noise, but pick up on exhaust noise.
Did you know that Turn 10 recorded ech engin of each car from several different angles. They also recorded them under stain, braking, gear changes, cornering. One team is dedicated to doing just that, they ate not ‘computer generated’ – they may well be computer managed, as they need to be, but the sounds you do hear are the sounds of what the real cars are, from the perspective you see them. Listen to a Ferrari on the street, then stick your head inside one at high revs, BIG difference, one is like a high-pitch whine, while the other is more guttural and growlier. Much like a F1 or Kart.
What are real sounds, and what we percieve to be real sounds are usually two different things. Having grown up around cars, building street machine from the ground up,racing, being at race circuits etc, the sounds you hear are usually along way off in games like Burnout, Need For Speed, Midnight Club etc. Whereas in Forza 2, PGR3/4 and Grid, the enige sounds are that of REAL CARS.
Thanks again OZ, and yea, I hadn’t thought about it but i’d love to know how many cars it’ll have on the track at a time. At the risk of sounding “american” or whatever, I am looking forward to the Oval. With all the graphics and phisics improvements, I think the oval with some R1′s will be rediculous. The drafting battles we got into early in FM2′s release were intense. Thats what I like about the oval. Being able to team up with your buddy and catch the field with some good drafting. I look at the oval almost like another game all together. I’ve grown to love the circuit racing but the oval can be a lot of fun in it’s own right if you set the races up correctly. Just thought I’d throw that out there for discussion. I had a top 50 time on Nissan Speedway at one point in the #2 Audi. With drafting of course.
My only guff about forza is that their are only 8 caars on a track at one time. I would like to see more than that especially like a sort of le mans race with a ton of competitors.
Actually, we have no idea how many cars will be on the track at once now in Forza 3. My guess, for what itr is worth, is that it will definitely be more than 8, most likely 12-15 possibly more, depending on classes.
i want bikes in this one gsxr 600,750,1000 cbr’s somthing
Sorry, no bikes, no trucks, no ORV or ATVs thankfully. Just lots of nice, shinny prestige and performance cars, over 400 of them from 50 manufacturers. Read and watch the info, it’ll TELL you what’s in the game . .
OZ!!!!
j/k. But let us know what you think. And thanks in advance.
I for one am dieing to hear what you think about the game. You guys have done a great job with the updates so far but I can hardly wait to here your impressions of the gameplay!! This game is looking like its going to ruin my life for the next 2 years!! Which is wonderful of course
H
Thanks mate, I’m going to write an Impressions asap and it’ll have it’s own page naturally, and be connected with this one, the Team OXCGN Racing page and any other Forza notice we have.
But for now, all I can say is, WOW. While many will say boohoo, no bikes, ATV’s Trucks etc etc, that’s fine. As this is NOT a racing discipline that is aimed at those styles. If you want that, then Colin McRae Dirt 2 will give it to you in spades, which we’ll have an article on soon, it looks bloody brilliant as well.
The in-car view is a great improvement, and was most definitely needed if the game was to move ahead at all when compared to any of the other deliveries from other developers. Thenew additions to the Paint Editor is what I wanted, not all of my wishes, but 80% of them, and it seems I was out by about 2 weeks with deliver/street dates . .Late Oct instead of early November, so shoot me hehehe.
Def not September as some were prediction. Le Mans will be a great addition, as while many acrade racers hate it in Grid, the diehards love it, as THAT is the challenge of racing. We want to get Codies on board to run a full “real 24 hr Le Mans using the 360 and GRID at some stage. Seeing that Le Mans is now in Forza 3, then we’ll approach MS for the same option . ..or run it ourselves.
Forza 3 Will be release on October 27th

All I know is my buddy just told me that theres gonna be a 90 Iroc camao in the game and I pray he’s right me and him BOTH talked about this and were thinking thay could put in an 84 third gen camaro and for body kits have the other years front and rears bumpers and sideskirts along with the Z28 wing to swap out on the back or something like that but I PRAY for a third gen Camaro … (I own one in real life lol)
hey can they add like all the hondas ? lols im a honda fanatic i love the honda civics, and accords
and plus most people that play this game either drift or drag race and what better car to drag with then a honda? and also they have to add realistic car mods lik exhaust and head/tail lights that actually work and itll be cool to have a free roam area to drive around and meet people in the street or somthing to race instead of waitin in the lobby
we do need a few trucks that can be modded i have always wanted to drift trucks for a challenge drifting cars is much to easy so i think you guys should add like 3 trucks 2 the game like dodge ram 1500 hemi a chevy truck and maybe like dodge srt-10 truck
plz plz plz have a drag strip an some 4x4s an lots of daily drive cars like hondass with lots of parts an replacble lights an exhaust systems an carbon fiber hoods that u can draw on an lots of choices of stuf and free roam kind of thing an night mode
plz plz best game ever also fog lights an horn an flashers an lots of street racing things atleast differnt motorss plz

it would be a dream come true to finally see a 2002 Pontiac Trans Am in a video game. Please make it happen.
Without a doubt the first mazdaspeed vehicles whould be added. 2003 or 2003.5. this car is baddass and should get in the game and correct, fm2 has a mazda familia thats orange(03 model) the spolier of the 03.5 and its non turbo. i know about the SP20 but make it either or not a combo of all plz
