Xbox 360 Dashboard Fall Update Warning
Find the annoucement here @ Xbox.com
Update 07.12.07 – Just letting you know that last night (6th December) at 8.30pm EDST, Xbox.com went down for around 2 hours. This was to implement a solution to rectify this issue. The bug has been fixed and you can now confidently change your Windows LIVE ID without any loss to your Xbox.com forum data.
This is a public service announcement from the Xbox Dev Team @ Microsoft – please heed this warning if you are a regular on the Xbox.com Forums.
Pidgeo:\> Hey everyone—we’ve discovered an issue with the Xbox LIVE Dash Update that happens tomorrow morning (US time)
If you change the Live ID associated with your gamertag (as the Dash update allows you to do), you will lose all of your forum posts, CUL and icons. All your posts will appear as ‘anonymous’. We’re hard at work on a fix, but despite the team working on it all weekend, we don’t have a fix ready to go out with the update.
If you are particularly attached to your Community User Level or forum icons please DON’T change your Live ID until we deploy a fix. It should only be a few days, and we apologize for the inconvenience. We will let you know as soon as it is safe to change your Live ID and keep all your forum goodness.
So – if you are particularly attached to your Xbox.com forum profile, please standby and await further instructions.

@ xbox intercooler Thanks for dropping by mate, glad you find the site interesting and informative. That’s what we like to hear . . .
Hope you drop back and continue to enjoy and contribute, we’ll check out your site as well.
It all helps the community grown . .
Get good information from your site thank you very much
Also – being the guinea pig that I am, have changed my WIndow LIVE ID away from my evil Hotmail account and everything works as normal
Than ks for keeping the post up todate mate, most appreciated in deed . . . and glad to see the guys-n-gals at MS Xbox-Div-Aust have managed to over come the issue . . . yet again.
I don’t like MS Corp as such, but feel MS’s Xbox-Div is somewhat of a different horse . . . bit like Apple taking on MS, the Xbox-Div is taking on Sony’s Playstation . . .
Just updated this posting – this is now a non-issue.
Cool thanks for the heads up, yes Im very attached to my CUL 4, dont want to loose it
