xboxoz360_icon581.png We are setting up a service with a local company that does the hard work for you, selling your goods online via eBay for you . which is aptly called YouDropWeSell. It runs a real world presence over near Moore Park precinct and I’ll be having a meeting with the owner to see how we can set something up for those wanting to make more than simple trade-in money from their game software and hardware, not to mention any other items you might have laying about that could reap in some cash for you.

Soon as we have further news, we’ll be dropping it up on the site, and making it available to you . . I justwanted to let you know we’re looking at different ways to serve you, and hopefully get some funds in to help cover the cost of taking the blog out onto public servers . . .

Depending on how thing go, we’ll be offering some form of eBay help at some stage as one of my pet hates is seeing gamers get cleaned out at the trade-in bar in major retail chains, getting around $2 – $20 + for some titles, yet see that same game, your game, back on the tables the next day for 3 to 4 times as much as what the store paid you . .when youcould have got more by selling it through eBay.

  1. WIll let you know then . . . . I’ll ask my friend in Ontario if she heard of any others . . .

  2. I’m actually based in the US, so it would be pretty helpful to me :)

If you find a good deal on one, please let me know! :D

  3. awesome idea! ebay is a great source of income for me!

  4. Yeah if you want games from overseas your best bet is to buy through Barnes & Noble who are affiliated with Gamestop (EB).

  5. It was just a pic I found on ebay . . . I think it was from a US site, so it wouldn’t be much luck for you . .

I have one of the ACE Combat Bundles, it’s over in Ontario atm waiting to be shipped over to here . . . It’s NTSC-U/C which means it’s (the game) not compatible with PAL consoles, but that’s not an issue, I’ll get a local game to use . . The hardware is all the same. It was one of 3 units in at GameStop in Toronto a friend of mine found before christmas and nabbed it for me. They don’t have any more apparently . . .

Play Asia had the flight-stick sets, but have sold out of them, and they were the same prices as the whole bundle . . . so I got a decent deal by getting it as a bundle . . . still cost heaps nevertheless . . and have to organize shipping from Canada to Aust yet . . but that will have to wait, at least it’s safe over there at the moment.

If you just go to ebay, and do a search you should find it, or do one through amazon, but games and hardware via amazon will not be shipped to Australia . . so you need a local (Nth AMerican) friend willing to help out. eBay US is different, and they (sellers) will ship overseas. Silly about Amazon, they’ll ship movies etc, but not games, which are basically the same . . .

Oh, and btw, $US150 is a good price, as they were $179 CAD or US incl tax and that prices ($US150) does not include their tax (US or Canada btw, so you have to take that into account when buying them from stores) – so that’s around the $$AU209 mark for the bundle NOT including delivery . . . and they are heavy and big.

  6. Aw! Who is selling Ace Combat 6 Flight Bundle?! I’ve been meaning to buy that, but $150 US seems a bit steep, especially lately from all the holiday shopping and such! :)
