Very much so, which will, or should make for an interesting take really. As a fresh approach is needed, and this could be it . . . Still, a variety in games and how they are played is important. Playing a C&C style GRAW based game could be very immersive, we'll have to wait and see what they start to show us once footage and screens are available.

Thanks for dropping by, nice to have you here.

They aren't rated R18+ . . They are rated 18+ . . by the ESRB as games arten't rated with a R classification . . .The fact is, OUR rating system is out tof touch with the rest of the world due mainly to the conservative groups and also due to the fact the government didn't wantto upset voters around their viewing issues

ALl games that come to Australia that have a MA15+ rating, "generally" are rated either 18 - 18+ (17 in some states of the US) . .What we should have here for games for gamers 10 - 18 is Teen, which is what the US and other countries use, then it goes to 18 or 18+ . .

If you go to PEGI (http://www.pegi.info/en/index/id/176/) and ESRB (http://www.esrb.org/ratings/ratings_guide.jsp) . . . you'll see their rating systems which are completely age related . . . Those two systems, and also BBFC (British Censorship board) (http://www.bbfc.org/) cover ALL games and movies across 97% of the globe . .

Initially, Australia had the rating for 15 olds set at the M15+, but when they changed the colouring sticker system recently, they UPPED the age rating from the M15+ and made it just M, and then added the 15+ to the once adult only MA, making it MA15+ to allow teens to watch and play titles that they were once banned from seeing . . . now that IS ODD . . . don't you think.

That's not protecting our kids, but allowing them complete access to totally inappropriate films and games . . . where is the sense in that . . there is none. Which is why it needs to change.

I'm NOT saying kids can't have access to these games, they will have, and always will - that's just kids . . . but, the point is, in order to show the general public that the game industry is serious about having LAWS that protect the gamers, they need to have laws in place, and a universal age appropriate system av=cross the board.

So that the likes of Jack Thompson etc don't have any legal legs to stand on in court. If we had a Jack Thompson here in Australia, he'd have a field day in the media . . . and Australia would look like a right fool in the eyes of the world.
