50,000 views and rising!
Sometime in the wee hours of this morning, XboxOZ360-Gamer reached our first milestone of 50K unique views. This is amazing for a site to emerge from obscurity and into the limelight in so little time. As you can see below, in February we effectively doubled our monthly views from about 7,500 in January to over 15,000 in February, and with 3 days to go, we’re looking at further growth in our March views.
Our slow, but steady growth, and the months not over yet.

So where are all these views coming from? With a solid base in Australia, both the US and Europe are very strong and feed many of our views when most of us here in Australia are tucked up in bed. So we’d just like to extend our thanks across all borders, thank you all for your support these recent months.
Notice those really small pins ?! . . . the longer they are there, the smaller they get, so squint hard, there’s LOTS of them. New views are represented by larger pins.
And what are you all reading? Below are our Top 10 posts and as you can see, there is a really wide spread across the whole site, from news to review to articles, every base is covered which just goes to show that we are here to give you everything you need about Xbox 360 gaming here in Australia. Another big thanks for your support!

Finally how do we rank globally? Well UrlTrends place us at 1,197,204th in the world. Doesn’t sound like much though with literally millions and millions of webpages all over the world, there’s a lot more below us than above us.
We’ve got a great team here at XboxOZ360-Gamer and with some exciting buzz happening right now with upcoming Competitions and the all important DarkLAN ’08, we thank you all for your support and believe me when I say it, we wouldn’t have these numbers if it wasn’t for you!

If anything, I suppose I just want to show that no matter how old one gets, that there’s a ‘boy’ in there somewhere in everyone, and who simply wants to play and enjoy himself/thenselves . . . and contrary to popular belief, doesn’t have to sit back in a rocking chair and wait for the end of the world, or too old to be ‘playin’ games’.
Congratulations guys and to think I helped promote it in my sig early on until it finally took off! I’m really proud of you Oz you had doubts whether to do it, then decided you would and look where its gotten you. All of the reviewers do a great job and the site is only going forward. Cheers for making us on the Xbox forum so informed and proud

Glad to have you aboard mate . . .Yes, the Merlin thing is from way back, and a user-name I used a great deal in the past. Unfortunately, I was banned from a ‘certain’ site for simply making it known that an editor was plagiarizing work from another sister publication and attaching his own name to the ‘exact’ same content . .
Needless to say that did not go down well with said editor/moderatopr, and I was promptly banned. BUt Sheeky and I stayed in contact, as many members kept asking about me, and why I was banned for simply stating the truth.
This site came about from the desire to be for the players and gamers, and be a real site and not regurgitate news items. Which is why you won’t find news items like you do in many others site. We use them and will report them, but not like many others do.
Thanks again for your banter with Sheeky, as she’s a great lot of fun, and an ‘excellent’ live player so I believe. One who seems to like steeling everyone ‘rockets’ . . . heheheh

I have to be honest I only found out about you guys a few weeks ago through Sheeky who mentioned she was “doing something with Merlin” – (the mind boggled over that because she was very secretive about it).
Anyhoo you are now bookmarked and I will make a visit every time I go online – to not only show my support for an Aussie site but also to poke fun at Sheeky :p

I personally want to say THANKS to the staff who work at this in the background, and without whom, this site simply would not exist.
Special thanks goes to Lee (DarkArmada), without his help and patience, many an item would not appear on the pages, his dedication is amazing, and I hope that in time, the site will eventually ‘pay off’, and those who are with it, get rewarded in some way, shape or form.
To the writers of the reviews and articles, many of whom have never written before, are finding that what they have to say is being read by thousands of gamers across the globe. And some items getting thousands of hits, Thank you, as without you as scribes, readers around the globe would not get the true Aussie flavour of gaming here DownUnder.
We have LOTS of things planned, some of which we’ll make public soon . . . suffice to say, it will benefit all .

That is a huge milestone for the site. Great job that you guys have done producing quality news, reviews, previews and ways to help the community out. Just goes to show that the better quality stuff that goes on the site helps you guys out in the long run.
