I can’t wait for this game. Without a doubt my most anticipated game of 2008.
I’m a bit hmmm on it, but the visuals do look 100% better this time round. More ‘real’ rather than browned out if you know what I mean.
My favourite game would have to be Hydrophobia and Mirror’s Edge, with Alone In The Dark coming in at top of my must have list atm . . . .
I heard that a lot of the game is going underground when I thought the best bits were in the city. I’m also not sure of the ‘chainsaw duel’ bit….a bit out of hand I think. I’m also not too sure of this one at the moment and am surprised no one else has tried to outdo the original except Dark Sector (which didn’t).
From the vids, it looks a lot more ‘active’ than before, and more visceral. I wasn’t a huge fan of the first actually, bit like Halo actually, I suppose you either love-em’ or hate-em’ . . . I’m just not keen-on-em’ . .
I’ll be getting mind you, it’s certainly a game you would NOT get, that’s a given, but not for the same reasons many would.
I think the Chainsaw duel is a good feature, if not in single player then definitely in MP, countless times I used to die because I was just that split second slower with my chainsaw (or faster, gotta love the BS in that game). So it’ll be interesting to see how it goes, visuals look great!
Looks alright, but i like the graphics on killzone 2 a lot better, small levels on gears of war 2, id rather play 45 – 1hr each level on kz2.
i think it’s going to blow away resistence 2 on ps3, and kill zone 2 . in terms of visuals and game play taking the xbox360 to it’s limit!
do you think it will be exclusive to the 360 or will they release a games for windows version?
I’d put money on it coming out on Games For Windows as well as the 360. Developers, including those doing 1st Party games, can no longer rely on just one platform to recoup their investments in games.
Not with them costing the amounts they are these days. Even sequels cost a considerable sum, and have usually begun prior to the finishing touches are put on the first iteration. Gears 2 was underway before Gears 1 was released, that just how sequels work, as Cliffy B had stated even as early in 2002 that his new project (not then named Gears) was a trilogy . . .
So you can bank on it going to GFWindows, whether that is ar=t the same time as 360, that’s another matter. As MS Xbox-Div will want maximum sales on their prim platform, the 360, before they release it for sale on the PC, as they get less from it through just software sales. Whereas with the 360, it drives hardware sales as well.
