The career mode is gold and has the most variation in a rasing title I’ve played. The supposed lack of cars is not an issue for me, as it means I get better at each just like the tracks. And the whole thing just immerses you with stunning presentation, graphics and a sense of speed only exceeded by the completely arcade Burnout series. The DLC on this is going to be awesome!

As for technical issues, I’ve seen no bugs and have only had the odd bit of slowdown during big pileups. Although the music sometimes comes in and out at entirely random intervals.

My only complaint is the implied necessity of playing LeMan every season (I know I can skip it, but it seems against the point and my career rep & finances!). Also there’s no calender (even a simple schedule) to show me how many races I have left in the season. Surely this would enhance the strategy behind race choices?

But other than that, it’s hands down the best racing title I’ve played, that whilst it doesn’t have the depth of Forza’s simulation, it has a load more pick up and play fun, variety and most importantly a truckload more personality!

Some say the AI is off, and that there’s glitches. But since playing both the review code and retail code, I’ve foun very little glitches to worry about in the SP side of things, which for me is where the game is at its best.

This game will gobble up some heavy hours, alongside Forza 2 and Ace Combat: Fires Of Liberation. (whoot – I got gold for completing ALL missions including missions 12 and 14 which are not listed (for whatever reasons??)
