Bungie Announcement CANCELLED

Bungie Announcement CANCELLED!

by Shadow Wave

It seems with only 12 hours to go on Bungie’s countdown on their flash page, leading up to what obviously would be the newest game to come from the developer, the announcement has been delayed.

The official statement is as follows:

While this may be a large blow, as to what may have agruably been the last major announcement of E3, we suggest to stay patient! Obviously Bungie WANTS to show us the game. Bungie haven’t let us down for a long time now. And as this has been pegged to a Publisher decision, the offending issue may get ironed out fairly quickly.

So have faith, that the announcement will make an appearance soon.

DarkArmada writes: You’d think that with an “on-the-spot” decision to cancel it, that it’d be made exactly like that, on the spot. But no, with exactly 12 hours left on the countdown one has to wonder, is this truly an issue with the Publisher, or some elaborate publicity stunt?

What better way to create hype for an upcoming announcement than to cancel it? Whether I’m right or not, chances are we’ll still get our hit of juicy Bungie info sooner rather than later. And we should all still be focused on what, rather than when…

Wow, what a way to shoot me down Bungie – seems as if Microsoft Game Studios pulled the plug at the last minute. Oh well, away with my tinfoil hat today…

Update by Shadow Wave: It seems that almost certainly this is not a stunt pulled by Bungie, websites are reporting that Bungie officials have confirmed its been delayed. The rumor is that MS is still the publisher that caused the delay, so we can only hope that MS did NOT do this, as a way to make Gears stand out and not be overshadowed.

Sadly,  this was going to be the final hype announcement for me, alas now I a bit empty and sad. Hopefully this announcement wont be delayed by months. But perhaps more like a week or two.
