SO the community needs to be proactive and send stuff like what is in the article to the state member, rather than simply say, hey, I don’t like this or want it etc etc, as that is not productive at all.

If one wants change, one must provide the reasons why, and a possible solution, not just say, hey, i don’t want/like this . . as no one is going to listen.

If on the other hand, one pointed out the glaring flaws in a current situation, and provided an alternative which would not cost a great deal in the greater scheme of things, like using an existing ratings classification, then they are most likely to at least take notice . .

In the meantime let’s hope the people who decide these things actually look into the issue instead of making ridiculous assumptions.

It’s just upsetting that a society that goes to war under the pretence of defending such democratic values, fails to uphold those very democratic principles that people have sacrificed their lives for.

I particularly liked the point you made of highlighting the contradictions of our ridiculously out of touch elected officials and of our classification system compared to overseas.

And the whole irony is an R18 would protect those vulnerable in our community more than any draconian system or political posturing, whilst also significantly boosting parental awareness and domestic retail revenues (as opposed to imports/piracy).

Whatever happened to democracy…
