Update #1: Keep an eye out on the Videos at the bottom of this page. Links will lead you to numerous TGS ’08 In-Game Footage and walkthroughs from off the TGS ’08 floor and booths. Plus other game footage.
With the TGS ’08 now well under way, and the Microsoft Keynote out of the way, we are starting to see the various Developers showing off their wares to the press and crowds that gather at the annual Tokyo Games Show.
It’s a show that really is something a little bit different, and brings all sorts of characters out of the woodwork. Especially Japanese Cosplay followers who spend not only a great deal of time, but money of some of their costumes, and take the event very seriously.
So do gamers, with a plethora of games being shown off for the first time and many making announcements along with new ties with various publishers.
Microsoft Games Studio is not exception, and while some believe MS Xbox-Div is simply buying up support, they fail to see what is really happening within the industry as a whole.

We’ll have these up for you in just a few moments, some technical issues have popped up . . back to the drawing boards.
What some Japanese Cosplay gamers get up to in their spare time.
So what do we have from the TGS ’08 ?
Well this year it seems to be Micorsoft’s year at TGS . .
It certainly has Square Enix right on side, with huge offerings from them and also Capcom. It seems Japanese developers can now see the benefits of going cross-platform, rather than staying on one and suffering short falls in sales as both major platforms broaden their user base.
It is no longer a one horse race, and now that Nintendo are way out front in the Melbourne Cup Stakes (Aussie joke btw), both Sony and Microsoft are having to pull out all stops to get developers on board and supporting their platforms in different ways.
• Capcom’s Unique looking Booth:

Lots of chicks in that there booth – and I don’t mean the human kind either — which is worrying.
So we have what was once Playstation only titles, now moving across to the Xbox 360. And with the Xbox 360 now selling better than ever in Japan, and at a cost less than even the Wii, many Japanese are looking to it to supply themselves with the gaming pleasure they wish to have.
They have their own titles, and it is all localised for them, and the console is cheaper, the XboxLIVE network is 14 million strong, and expanding every day. So why not “Jump” on board if the water feels good.
