Gears of War 2 is almost here. To celebrate the release, 7 COGs have been placed around Australia in secret locations as well as 7 in EB Games retailers, 2 virtual COGs on the EB Games Australian Website and another 5 virtual COGs on IGN.com.au. These metal COGS allow you to unlock the secrets behind the epic back story of Gears of War 2. There’s only 1000 of these to be found in the world guys, and only 50 in Australia and New Zealand!
Physical COGs are marked with unique codes that when punched into the Gears of War website unlock content that tells the epic story between the conclusion of Gears of War and Gears 2. Each time one of these COGS is found a new part of the ‘Last Day’ story will be revealed on the Gears of War website.
Clues on where you can find these COGS will be posted every day on this Facebook group in the ‘News’ section, so keep jumping on here to grab the next clue and by all means feel free to talk about it amongst yourselves to try and unravel the secret locations of each of the COGS.
• Trivia note: Epic Games took Cliff under their wing at the tender age of just 17 when he was sending game out in Jiffy Zip-Lock bags to customers from High School.

What you are looking for is THIS . . the REAL Cogs
EB Games has teamed up with Microsoft XBOX to uniquely promote the upcoming blockbuster game Gears of War 2. Fans have the chance to win “money can’t buy” Gears Of War 2 items by solving a series of cryptic clues and hunting down the hidden prizes in EB Games stores. The mechanics are simple- From 8am Friday morning a secret portal will be hidden somewhere on www.ebgames.com.au. Once people find this portal it will take them to a special mini site that will give them a secret password and 7 cryptic clues that help them the location the EB Games stores where the prizes are hidden. They then need to physically go into that store and be the 1st to say the secret password and they win!
