When it comes to wanting to have the best gaming setups, many end up spending an extraordinary amount of money on them. The cost involves not just the actual computer or console, but the HDTV, sound system, wiring, room layout and furniture plus soft furnishings.
Until now, most self contained gaming systems resembled a racing chair similar to a racing car cockpit with a joystick added. Even the great looking, and terribly expensive VRX MACH 4 (Ultimate Forza 2 rig), still looks like an over-sized racing chair made by some mad mechanic, albeit a very highly talented one, with a fondness for Billeted Alloy and chrome.
I was checking out my latest copy of a popular PC gaming mag and stumbled upon a small item with something that resembled a “scorpion”. Intrigued, I went to their website and was simply stunned at what I found.
Without a doubt, this would have to be the best set up I’ve seen so far for personal computer use, be it for gaming or personal computing. Just imagine doing film editing in The Emperor.
You basically wouldn’t want to leave it – - period. If it had a way of also being a toilet and have a personal fridge attached for occasional food, it would be perfect. Enter The Emperor, with his clothes on this time, and very smart looking clothes at that.
• Novel Quest’s – The Emperor – When only the best will do.
Below you will find a promotional video of The Emperor as well as stills showing off the various attributes of the entire system. So, if you have a spare $US33k plus to throw away, it would be perfect for a dedicated gaming room with a difference. You could even charge admission and usage fees at the door . . .well, with the price, you’d want to get a little back – wouldn’t you?
But then again, if you could afford one these, money wouldn’t be a problem anyway.
This is arguably the most refined, truly ergonomically designed functional setup for either Flight Sims, Racing Sims and even interactive media, let alone general Home Computing. Every facet of the design as far as the human body has been taken into consideration.
From the person’s height, legs, viewing height and posture, it is designed to be ideal. Plus the audio is so well concealed, it would be as if the sounds were simply coming from invisible sources around the room. Then considering it has purified air and ambient light, a mood could be set to take on the atmosphere of any game. From chilling icy adventures, to hot, steamy rain forests and even the African Savanna in Far Cry 2.
Now if you had a spare $AU47,000+ ($US33,ooo base price) then by all means grab one . . .But unfortunately, I’ll have to stick to the locally brewed CyberKart for now. And at around the $AU1500 mark, I’d have a lot more to spend my money on. Still, that won’t stop me from putting in my order with Mr. S. Claus next year, seeing he’s always on the generous side . . . (wishful thinking, and lots of dreaming…sigh).
