This game is great in my opinion, but they don’t deserve to call it Lord of the Rings.

The game play fails with the falling over, and the AI sucks like hell.

I’d give it a 60%.

I love playing LOTR Conquest, even more so when online (tho i do hate dying lol) but i find im always kicked off with and pop-up saying something along the lines of, “failed to connect to server in the time out range”. That has really let the game down, playing online having great time only just to suddenly be kicked out.

I bought this game purely because it is one of the only party games going without the words Call Of Duty in the title (I don’t have access to Xbox Live so split screen is all I got. The single player is fairly poor and frustrating, but when you’ve got three mates yelling at you backstabbed all of them without the NPCs noticing, this game becomes pretty damn cool. If you can look past poor AI (allied only, your enemies seem smart enough), overpowed mages and the fact that you will spend most of the time eating dirt, it is well worth a look.

I think the game play is a little sloppy and many are saying its textbook design. I agree with the gameplay but not the design.

I Hyped LOTR Conquest on Everhype and gave it 89% which I think is fairly accurate.

This review is the first I’ve read that addresses all of the issues with this game. It could be a great game, but the time spent falling over, the ability for someone to keep a string of attacks on you so you can’t get back up, the damn EA American servers and their lack of care for the comparatively small market of Australia – it just ruins the game. I just want to finish the achievements, which should be easy, but there are some online ones that you just can’t get with horrible lag (archer headshots..). We emailed EA to see if they had plans of setting up at least one Aus server and they couldn’t give us a straight answer, so it’s a no pretty much. It’s annoying when it could be such a great game because you have to be strategic with the various classes in multiplayer, but a few simple-to-fix problems have ruined the game and just make me cranky when I play

Wow! I’m not sending you any hate but man I don’t know where people say they had so much trouble with this game. I am Not very good at these types of games but I found this incredibly easy on Heroic. I had trouble in 2 spots but even those weren’t that tough. Heck I finished both sides of the story in about 4-5 hours.
I honestly really like this game but found it way too short and I haven’t really gotten too into the online aspect yet. I guess I just don’t understand all the hate for this game its not all that bad.
