I think twilight would be a great game but it would only be for twilight fans. Who actually read the books and seen the two movies. But it depends on what they base it on. I am a huge twilight fan but the first movie did suck the second did'nt. I would personally want all the books of twlight to be made into games. And for all the fags out their who say twilight sucks it doesent read the books first dumb asses.

I'll agree with Jamie-Lee, I'd say this will be a slap-dash throw together to cash in on anyone obsessed with the series. Much like Transformers 2

Even though I'm a big fan of twiligt and gaming I think they shouldn't make twilight a video game.I can actually picturing myself dying from the intense overdose of boredom trying to either save Bella from the baddies or trying to keep her alive, after probably playing it for an hour i'll cut the game off and never pick it up again.

So please people who make video games don't waste your time trying to jump on the Twilight band wagon.

Vampires, werewolves, and virgins, oh my.

UPDATE: I've now read the first two books and have to take a break from Bella (she's getting on my nerves). The stories are pretty good (perhaps too good) at characterisations and descriptions of inner emotional struggle.

You'd definitely need to combine the books a bit to make a game from it, and a game wouldn't do the emotional depth justice, but for fans it could be a fun extension.

Getting the balance between fun action and romance storytelling would be a challenge I think, and most developers would probably skip or do a shallow attempt at that aspect.

Volterra would make a great game location though! And the whole vampire mafia thing is interesting, as are the werewolves entering into it in the second book.

Then again I thought Underworld would make an okay game, and the PS2 game was utter rubbish.

To be honest, I think if they take the right approach to a Twilight video game, they could actually make it work.

In the books Edward tells Bella about he became a vampire in the first place. Seeing as many people argue that there is not enough action in the first 3/4 of the book, the game could begin there, with you playing as Edward trying to resist against his newly found nature. Then the game could skip on to Bella's moving into Forks. (As you suggested, trying to protect Bella, etc.)
I've heard quite a few people say that it could be made into a RPG game but I don't see the point as it would no longer be Twilight. I mean it would just be 'Vampires' - not really the same thing, is it?
But to honest, I think the best bet would be to wait until all four movies are out, and then combine them to make one huge game - with all the action and romance of the four books together. (:

I think that they're going slap a game together while the twilight bandwagon is still travelling at its current speed and quite honestly it's going to be a tragedy. You can turn a game into a movie, but you can't turn a movie into a game and do it justice. Also don't knock star wars podracer, i love it
