The latest trailer released today of Bioshock 2: Sea Of Dreams definitely shows you playing the role of Big Daddy and getting instructions from a female control person.
Some of the OXCGN team have had a look at it to see what they can uncover.
Additionally, the following video shows the walk-through of the Viral site, There’s Something In The Sea, which has been following the abduction of several young girls from various locals who are being taken to the sea. The site shows various newspaper cutouts, documents, police reports, Interpol reports and cases showing the abductions.
• Something Is In The Sea
The various papers and even letters from young girls that have escaped or those following the “large figures” to the sea report the observation of a red glow in the ocean. All the girls are 7yrs old, all have dark short hair, are of light build and are very similar in looks and body type.
So some “requirements” are needed for “the Little Sisters” . . but who is the Big Sister that one of the Little Sisters talks about to the Big Daddy at the end of the latest in-game trailer?

It’s obvious that Big Sister is not happy Jan and even The Little Sister/s know this.
There’s a new adversary in the trailer, one who is not shy about breaking the glass walls that protect the underwater kingdom, as you’ll see in the game trailer.
Let’s see what we can all unearth through both the viral site, and the various trailers now available. Tell us your impressions below in the comment box below.
OXCGN will be digging further, so join us in finding out more around the next iteration, BioShock 2: Sea Of Dreams.

Wow, Bioshock 2 looks to be as impressively immersive as its predecessor. From what I could see from the short 2 minute video, I was pleasantly surprised that the game play has not changed much at all.
The new enemy, the Big Sister, turned out to be what most of us thought, athletic and agile. She should prove to be a new tough enemy for our favourite Big Daddy to fight against.
I’m sure these enemies will appear out of nowhere and make you jump out of your seat often at regular intervals! I just hope the other ‘wall crawling’ enemies from the original game are still lurking here as well.

Even though you’re playing as a large drill-arm equipped Big Daddy, the strength of the character seems to be toned down to make you more vulnerable. The Drill did not seem very threatening from the trailer.
There was no gore at all when an enemy got destroyed by the drill, but hopefully we will see some better gore effects by the time the game is out later this year. I think we all remember that original award winning Bioshock trailer and I think we would like at least a little gore in the next game too.
That aside, the trailer was definitely exciting, and will make the long wait until its release even harder. It will be interesting to see if reviewers and today’s players can tolerate another game set in the same universe/area, as it will no longer be a fresh new experience.
Water looks to play an even more important part in the game too. Either way, I’m sure this baby will sell like hot cakes. And hopefully there will be no cameras this time around!

has anyone gone to the somethinginthesea.com??There is a box with a bunch of symbols and i cant figure out how to open it,Can anyone help?
Agreed, the drill weapon didn’t seem to have quite the devastating effect that I was expecting it to. Though the mix of using plasmids along with the drill looks interesting. I do have to say that I wasn’t exactly blown away by the trailer, though it looks like BioShock 2 is shaping up to be a solid follow-up to the original.
