Alan Wake, the highly anticipated Xbox 360/PC exclusive, has finally been unveiled at E3 2009. Developed by Finnish studio, Remedy Entertainment (known for their Max Payne games), and published by Microsoft Game Studios, Alan Wake has been in development for quite some time, even attracting the ‘vaporware’ label due to frequent delays.
The plot encompasses the trip to a small town called Bright Falls, where Alan Wake (a best selling writer) hopes to recover his creative spark after a two year absence from writing. The getaway, which was arranged by Allan’s wife, Alice, soon turns into a nightmare as his writings come to life following the disappearance of his beloved.
In the ‘wake’ of Microsoft’s Keynote presentation, this intriguing psychological action thriller is once again at the forefront of Microsoft’s push into new gaming avenues. Stay tuned for more details on Alan Wake as they emerge.
