The wheel in question, the one that will be fully compatiable with Forza Motorsport 3, has it already been released? Or will Fanatec be releasing a new one?
NO, not released yet. It has been designed to work with the 360 and PC naturally, and will come in 3 variations. Based on the Porsche 911 Turbo style they have. They will have A fully operation Clutch, Brake and Gas, obviously, a “H” pattern shifter, that will work for 4 – 5 and 6 speed gearboxes of course, incl reverse. Plus a full 900 degree turning circle which adjust with speed which I also believe you can tweak in the settings.
The pedal assembly is of high quality and designed to take punishment, and built to Fantec’s usual high standards. It’s a HUGE step forward from the Wireless Microsoft 360 Wheel, which while good, wasn’t great by any stretch of the imagination.
MS did the right thing for once about their peripherals, and decided thatin th interest of better gear, to hand it over to ppl that know how to build specific items. The wheels will be release “alongside” the game, and no doubt come as a Budled unit with Forza 3, which will be the one I’ll be nabbing.
Plus we’ll be trying to nab a few df=from Fantec to road test and offer as a prize when Forza 3 ships in late October.
