The ground is about to rumble . . . .

We here at OXCGN have been speculating on Forza 3 for yonks, and have such a huge car racing following that we have a section devoted only to racer games. Well Forza Motorsport, by master studio Turn 10, has always been special, especially to more serious racer simulation fans, and Forza 3 is set to outdo even its previously lofty standards.
• Recent news – Aussie Cars included in Forza 3
At tonight’s Microsoft Keynote introduction to E3 it has finally been officially announced that the beloved Xbox 360 exclusive is back, and in a big way! It will be released in October and will feature a number of new features as well as retaining many of the old.
As usual there is a huge variety of challenging tracks and powerful sleek cars to play with. Forza means “force” or “strength” in Italian, and the series is known for just that: powerful cars and skillful gamer drivers who spend hours perfecting their racing techniques in single player and on Live.
• Official Debut Forza 3 Trailer
Hours more are spent working on the vehicles until the gamer’s personal tastes are satisfied. If you love your cars, then chances are you love Forza.
One of the major things players wanted was a full in-car view point, and we got it. In fact, it looks a great deal better than the PGR in-car view point, with what looks like a full 300 degree viewable area, or close to it.
The new Paint Editor will open things up even more for the creative racers, and when combined with the new Online exchange in the game, expect to see a great deal more gamers running around with unique cars.
With visuals that will make any gamer happy, the next iteration of Forza will have many racing fans hanging on their collective seats until October.

But fear not, OXCGN will have some Hands-On time with Forza 3 in the next day or two, so be prepared to have your world rocked once the team get their dirty little mits on the game. Hopefully they may even have Xbox Natal hooked up to one so we can see how that works.
During the Keynote it did look like the game they were demoing for racing “could” have been Forza 3 . . Uncertain about that though.
More to come in the following updates as it happens.
• Forza 3 Video Creation feature
This movie requires Adobe Flash for playback.
Just know that all your Forza 3 dreams have been realised, and the game ships worldwide this October: no specific date yet, but my bet is late October, so expect to see some announcements also at Le Mans on the 12th July.
I do want to say thanks to all our OXCGN readers on the Forza 3 pages. You have made our Forza 3 page, THE most hit Forza page on the net over the last year, and we will continue to bring our unique way of delivering the Forza message and other racings games worth playing here at OXCGN.
Forza Motorsport 3 will have more than 400 “fully customizable and tunable” cars from 50 manufacturers and 100-plus real world tracks, which is excellent, who needs 900 plus cars anyhow – not me. Some NEW great locations include the Montserrat region in Spain, the rugged Amalfi Coast in Italy and the American Southwest.
Also appearing is the new single-player season mode, which puts players through “a completely personalized racing calendar that includes more than 200 different events, including Circuit, Oval, Drag, Drift and Timed Events.”
Make sure you check out the Official Forza 3 website that has just gone live.
