Yes, that's water that Camaro is flying along on at 60mph!

Yes, that's water that Camaro is flying along on at 60mph!

So here’s something just a little bit different to make you grin. And I thought girls hated snakes . . . Now if we could only do this in Forza 3, I’d be so happy.

We’ve shown you the fastest Corvette in the world, which can go from 0-60mph in  ONE SECOND, yes, that’s right One (1) Second (check further down this LONG list and you’ll find the video and details on the fastest Vette in the world) and, as we are always wanting to bring to your attention most things car related, and also a little bit quirky, how about we add another.

So how’s about we introduce you to a Chevy Camaro that can do the standing 1/4 mile in 12.4 secs – yeah that’s not super quick, but it weighs 3,800 lbs or 1,725kgs (no lightweight right!) but can also jet along in less than 4.5″s (120mm) of water at 97Kph or 6o mph and top out at over 100mph or 160kph on land !!!

Welcome the Water Snake – Python #1

Yes, a Camaro that not only floats (your boat) but does so at amazing speeds both on land, and in the water. And it is THE biggest Chick-Magnet around. Forget the Porsches, the Lamborghinis and Ferraris, this has got girls jumping all over it, literally.

It is a Chevrolet Camaro-bodied amphibian. It is WaterCar’s latest land-to-sea-and-back creation and it’s called the Python. Hailed by the California-based company as the world’s fastest amphibious vehicle, the Python is offered with a choice of Corvette V8 engines ranging from a base LS1 all the way up to GM’s latest 6.2-liter supercharged LS9 that makes 640HP in the Corvette ZR1. Marine propulsion comes courtesy of a Dominator Jet drive.

WaterCar-Python-44For the record, WaterCar does not clarify with which GM LS V8 engine the Python achieves these performance figures on land, though we suspect that it’s the LS9

There’s no lulling around having to do things to get the Python in or out of the water, when heading for the water, slip it into gear, land in the water, engage the hydro-propulsion and in just 4.5″ of water, you fly off at a great rate of knots – Notice I said knots, not miles per hour hehehe. It’s simply a ‘push-button affair, and is exactly the same on returning to land. Couldn’t be simpler. Makes a bloody fast and head-turning ski boat as well.

Welcome the Water Snake – Python #2

These beasts are all hand built one-off’s, so you can have it customised to suit your own needs, styles and even colour co-ordinate it with the wife’s beachwear if you like. It can therefore give you a choice of more than 60,000 exterior shades and 4,000 interior colors. Unfortunately you need to be aware that the Python comes with no hard or soft top, but hey, it’s waterproof anyhow …just check the video out if you don’t believe me.

You want one I hear you saying, well if you do, you’d better bring your cheque book, as it will set you back a firm $US200,000 or around €137,000 with today’s exchange rate +- .

Anyway, where was I, oh yes, Forza 3 . . can’t wait . . well actually, we have to, as it’s not out for another 11 days here in Australia and 15 for North America. Slip over here now to get the very latest update on Forza 3, or check out any of the huge Forza 3 listings below.
