One of the biggest things in video games and drag racing is the milli-seconds that separate winners from losers (or losing times) is a thing called latency or otherwise known as 'lag'.

Plus, without a true christmas tree and the ability to use the clutch functionally and pre-staging lights, it's hard to get an accurate time.

However, having said that, I do find that by gearing the car correctly, using the clucth with manual gears, you can launch effectively, and cut your times dramatically.

My Audi M4 with the right gears can nab the Ferraris, Lambo and Salems both off the line and across the finish line when pitched against the same PI and Class ratings. There is a way of coming off the line effectively without minimum spin, and good hook-up, which is the key to more realistic times.

Try playing with the manual and clutch set ups, and practicing launches with the right gearing and especially tyre pressures on both front and back, as the right settings will help the rear wheels expand and give you greater diameters and thus greater distance per revolution. Give it a go, and let us know how you do.
