Bioware has always created optimized games which run smoothly on average systems. I have Baldur’s Gate 2, KotoR 1 & 2, Mass Effect 1 & 2 and all of them played smoothly on my system.

Dragon Age is an exception. Comparing to the graphics of Mass Effect 2 it isn’t as good but Mass Effect 2 played smoothly on a Core 2 Duo with a NV GTX 470. Dragon Age on the other hand struggles at High settings without AA or AF applied.

Other than its steep requirements, it is a well written game.
