As most readers know, OXCGN is a huge supporter and follower of the Forza Motorsport franchise, and has been since the very first Forza Motorsport hit the tracks in 2002 on the 1st-Gen Xbox as a launch title.

So it is with great pleasure and pride that we have teamed up with another very enthusiastic race site to bring you a first for Forza Motorsport 3.

OXCGN and Forza Racing League are presenting the world’s first Pagani Zonda World Challenge which will be run over a 2 week period from 24th April through to 2nd May 2010. This will include initial qualifying periods for each region, Regional ‘Shoot-Outs’ to determine 3 drivers from each region, who will then compete in the Inaugural Pagani Zonda World Challenge.

Prizes are on offer comprising both in-game prizes as well as real world goods of value.

RennSport Wheel Stand

UPDATE: Prizes have changed, and the First place prize is now been donated by Fanatec, the world leading brand of Racing Game Wheels in the world. Valued at over $US600 this is yours if you manage to nab 1st Place on the podium on May 2nd.

The Fanatec PennSports Wheel stand equipped with the Porsche Sports whee, gear selector and pedals will be all yours. But you have to make it through the qualifying sessions beginning April 24th, and then be the one sitting at the top of the podium come May 2nd.

Think you can do it?

Then what are you waiting for, register NOW, as registrations close April 23rd . . . stop reading this and sign up NOW!

The aim of the event is to bring more racing gamers together in a competitive but legitimate atmosphere where drivers are competitors, not enemies.

Registrations are from 22nd March 2010 to 23rd April 2010 inclusive. There will be strict “Race Rules” that will apply, and any deviations from these will have the competitor disqualified and or any position placement removed.

An 'example' of a race livery scheme

Livery (paint schemes)

If you have any questions about colours, types of liveries, decals, positioning or any aspect of the livery you are designing, always check with administration before submitting a final photo of the vehicle.

  1. All liveries must be in a form of racing style liveries, based on your own racing team colours and styles.
  2. No “Fantasy” or “Obscene” style of paint schemes will be allowed.
  3. Decals to be used must be World Challenge ‘Specified’ decals.
  4. Designated Sponsor Decal sets – Please note: you will be given a set of Mandatory World Challenge Sponsor Decals which have ‘specific positional placements’ that must be adhered to.
  5. Your ‘livery scheme’ must not obscure any World Challenge Sponsors Decals.
  6. All vehicles must have the “Drivers’ name affixed in specified areas.
  7. All vehicle must a “Vehicle Identification Number” (which you will be allocated upon registration)
  8. All vehicles must have a registration numberplate
  9. All vehicles must have their country flag affixed
  10. All entries ‘must’ submit 5 (five) images of the finished vehicle’s livery scheme • Head on, • Rear/tail – • Right side – • Left side as well as • Top/roof view. These must show all of the above items and correct placements of the Sponsors Decal Sets, the vehicle number and driver’s name and plate location etc. These can be obtained by going to the Storefront for the following GamerTag: FzaRacingLeague and obtaining them for FREE.
  11. No exceptions can be made, these are mandatory features on all race vehicles in all classes
  12. Pre-fab Vinyl groups for Race Number blocks, Sponsor Groups etc will be available for ‘FREE” from FzaRacingLeague‘s Forza 3 Storefront. This will help in making entrants work and decals consistent throughout the race vehicles.
  13. If you want other sponsor vinyl groups & or logos made that relate to your race vehicle, please send a Email to either Aaron Nelson or Grant Smythe, along with a large pic of the sponsor’s logo you wish to have made, and we will do everything possible to create it for you. There will be a small in-game credit fee for this however, but if you’re creatively challenged, then it’s a good option. Remembering, no Fantasy or vulgarity images schemes are permitted – Race Liveries only!

NB: Example of a Zonda Livery - Mine (no, I can’t compete, being a sponsor and all) but it gives you an ‘idea’ of sponsor, number and name placements. The other sponsors are related to the various parts fitted to this particular Zonda I built, these wont suit you of course, unless you use the same parts?!

The colour scheme (livery) is available as-is if you’re too lazy to create one, You’d simply have to change the vehicle number to the one allocated once registered, and the drivers name of course. Other than that, you can simply grab the ‘liver’ by emailing me, and getting it off my Forza Storefront. That is of course, IF you don’t want to waste time doing your own.

Remember:- This is only an example, but it does show location of PWC Sponsor decals’ and the Sponsors are as follows:

  • FRL (Forza Racing League)
  • OXCGN
  • Forza Stats 3
  • Turn 10
  • Forza Motorsports
  • VIN (vehicle Identification Number/driver name)

Example scheme, placement of Sponsor decals.
