Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood will indeed get a Limited Edition, but so far there doesn’t appear to be any fancy Ezio or
even one of the other new Assassins figurine included.
What is certain is that it will be released in Australia exclusively by EB Games for AUD$148. If you are an Assassin’s Creed collector like me (see my collection here) you’ll be excited we get to buy it locally.
I’m not a big fan of ‘exclusive’ Limited Editions for certain stores, but at least with online ordering these days even if you don’t live near a certain games retailer you can probably buy from one’s website. The lack of competition means paying full RRP though, and $148 ain’t cheap.
Though the limited edition doesn’t seem to include a figurine (here’s hoping it does and that it’s not been revealed yet), it does include a lot of stuff including collector cards, the Lineage Mini-Movie (which you already can download on the PS3 or 360 but might want a hard copy), extra maps and characters, codex with some Assassins art and history, and a cool box.
The game itself is looking fantastic with the E3 video showing your home town being attacked and destroyed, your uncle being killed (first Dad, now your new father figure is killed by the nasty Templars!), and you getting to fire cannons, which was featured in the Battle of Forli section of the Assassin’s Creed: Renaissance book (as mentioned in my book review here) but strangely not the downloadable content for Assassin’s Creed 2.
Riding horses through the streets, firing cannons, long barreled guns now being shot at you, duels galore…it all adds up to a bigger action focus over stealth, but should be a lot of fun come November.
Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood – Limited Codex Edition (at this stage) Includes:
- Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood game
- Renaissance Collector Chest
- Exclusive Codex
- Map of Rome
- Multiplayer characters cards
- Bonus DVD and game soundtrack
- 2 Exclusive single player maps: Aqua Gear & Trajan Market
- 2 Multiplayer characters: Harlequin & Officer
- Additional bonus content yet to be revealed (ooo that’s mysterious…)
And even more Assassin’s Creed:

No need to shout mate . . . (caps denote shouting lol)
hi i’m a huge fan of assassins creed and i wish to purchase acb the limited codex edition, but live in the u.s. and we always get shafted. could someone help me to acquire this fantastic collection?
It’s funny that you say the US gets shafted, as we in Australia have traditionally missed out on a lot of the Limited Editions in the past and often had to hope for region free editions we could import.
The only place the Codex Edition is available in Australia is at EB Games and I’m not sure if you can order from the site to post to overseas addresses or not, but check here: http://www.ebgames.com.au.
The only other two suggestions I have is that you buy off ebay when it is released or that you try a UK site (which has a similar if not identical Codex version, like at http://www.play.com).
Hope that helps.
Well it does say it comes with an additianal bonus that is yet to be discovered…
Hopping you get to pick one of the assassins or templars but that would be bad cuz ide want all of them… but if Eb games or a hobbie shop released the other charecters you didnt get with the codex…
THAT WOULD BE COOl…
Ide get all of them and clear my shelf to display them…
AND DUST THEM EVERY DAY!!!!! XD
