Decision Justified – Or Not?
Tell us your view & you could nab yourself an Xbox 360 game

With EA officially dropping the ability to play as the Taliban (at least in name) in the upcoming Medal Of Honor, we decided that for your next chance to earn an Xbox 360 game we’d ask you for your thoughts:
In 400-600 words explain:
Why the EA Medal Of Honor backdown on the ability to play as a member of the Taliban in the Multiplayer segment of the game is, or is not justified.
We have 5 games consisting of online download XBLA code for current release titles that will be awarded to the most interesting entries. As these are XBLA Token Codes, it is therefore open to anyone from anywhere who has an Xbox 360 and XboxLive account and can hook up to the net to download it.
It is easy to critise developer and publishers for their actions, but at the end of the day, they are in ‘business’ to make money, support their employees, and ideally grow and expand. Look at all aspects of why companies make such choices, and perhaps base you comments on that, but it is open to any thoughts on the subject.
So long as they are of course, civil, as OXCGN does not support any bad language in any of its copy or comments, so please keep that in mind with any submissions.
• Medal Of Honor Multiplayer Mayhem
We will publish some of them on site to share with the gaming community, provided they meet the basic submission format and are written in a manner that is suitable for all to read.
EA came out today and made a comment supporting their choice, and pointed out that if gamers chose to have a go at the upcoming Multiplayer pre-release event, they will see that the change of ‘one word’has had no effect on the game at all, and ultimately, it’s up to them (the gamer) to see for themselves.
Here’s what they had to say in part to Kotaku today:-
“The reason we’re posting the multiplayer demo next week is so people can judge for themselves,” EA spokesman Jeff Brown told Kotaku. “Does changing one word in the menu screen have any impact on the actual play of the game that takes place in Afghanistan? If they think we shouldn’t have done that, I urge them to play it.”
