Warning:
The content of this article contains major spoilers.
If you have not completed the new downloadable content for Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood, The Da Vinci Disappearance, then do not read any further.
You have been warned.
Today, the first single-player addon for Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood was released, The Da Vinci Disappearance.
While there have been many major hints and clues as to the next Assassin’s Creed title, whether it be another title in the style of Brotherhood or the final third installment, there has been nothing concrete discovered.
Until now…..
Once again, major spoilers follow. You have been warned yet again.
A summary of affairs…
The goal of the downloadable piece was to save Leonardo da Vinci after he was captured.
He has discovered underground catacombs that lead to a chamber, built by the Pythagoreans. And of course, as in any science fiction story, someone else wants it.
Ezio eventually makes his way to Leonardo and saves him, where the duo are urged onward into the chamber.
A large hole was in the roof of the initial entrance chamber. The secrets of the Pythagoreans lie within.
The Pythagoreans believed that all aspects of nature came down to numbers and equations; if man could discover these numbers, they could control nature itself.
After the chamber was opened, a room shockingly familiar to that of the end of Assassin’s Creed 2 and Brotherhood was discovered, with a pedestal in the middle.
Ezio placed his hand on the pedestal, and numbers began to show everywhere. Da Vinci picked out a certain string of numbers and letters: 43, 39, 19, N, 75, 27, 42, W.
Upon first glance, they mean nothing. And that’s precisely what Leonardo thought.
Ezio urges the disappointed Leonardo to leave, saying that this information was not for them.
That’s the end… or is it?
The tease
When I saw that sequence, my mind automatically recognized it as latitude and longitude coordinates!
As quickly as my fingers could type, I punched in those coordinates to Google Earth.
And this is what was found.
Remember that hole I talked about? Well, click that image on the side.
It actually exists, but near a small town in New York [state] called Glenfield.
Not located in Italy, like the Brotherhood version.
This is in the United States of America.
I tried to look up things regarding the hole, but from the looks of it, people may not know that it even exists (as you can see from the image, it’s in a heavily forested area).
It is to be noted that it is not too far from Saratoga, New York, where the Battle of Saratoga (during the American Revolution) was not too far from this location.
I have a feeling this small area in New York will be getting a LOT of attention soon.
The next iteration is…
What do you think?
Could Assassin’s Creed 3 take place in the United States?
If it did, how would things play out?
What could they possibly have to do in the U S of A?
Could it have something to do with the original formation of the country?
Maybe George Washington had the apple with him, or something ridiculous like that.
Only time will tell…
Update 1: Thanks to the help of a user in the below comments, it was confirmed that Washington indeed was a member of a Templar organization and possessed the Apple at one point (source here).
This pretty much means I’m a wizard.
Update 2: One of the commenters came up with some very interesting stats that need to be mentioned here.
Here’s the image he made from the coordinates given in the game, and the information.

When looking at the coordinates, I noticed just south of it was Rome, NY, and then I noticed to the NW of Rome was a Florence, NY. Two Italian cities (Roma and Firenze) With the subject matter of the DLC being Pythagorean in nature, I used these three points to see if they made a pythagorean triangle, and low and behold it does! check it out! |

paris or the amercian revolution would be cool, however one setting that catches my imagination is south america during the time of the conquistadors
did anyone else google the coordinates? … cause i did and they came up in cancun mexico … not usa
ILLUMINATI ILLUMINATI!
Illuminati in Ubisoft Montreal! Next Assassins Creed game is in SPAAAACE!
Well to be quite honest , I play AC quite a lot , and I’m hoping it will be set in the French Revolution or in Russia as it is Invaded by the French , these two places would make an ideal place for the Assassins’. Though I’m hoping that we are able to see Ezio & Cristina again as I found the mini – missions rather interesting & that we do not yet lose Ezio , as his Character offers a lot and has helped out AC lives so far. If perhaps Ezio finds Cristina again and she becomes a main character . Perhaps as a mini – mission then we can go back to the Crusades , as Altair was one of the best Assassin’s as said by Almualim (excuse the spelling) . The crusades make an epic time for the Assassin’s. Or perhaps AC could go back to just after the Middle Ages were Templar forces such as the teutonic knights invaded Europe…
Alot of Anticipation for AC III !! And I Need to Know more of Ezio & Altair as well as Cristina !
I believe they should stray away from ezio. I like the character and everything, but I don’t believe it would fit into the series if they stayed with the same character.
dude you know that christina is dead right?
A mix between France and Russia, napoleon attempted invading Russia.
i think that crater could be one of the temple minerva spoke of also some of assasins creed 3 will be set in italy.
What if the entire game is centered on Desmond? The perfect environment for climbing, jumping, and falling would be today’s architechure.
He would travel around and find the temples by himself, possibly meeting templars and assassins on his way. He could find out ANOTHER big conspiracy or something, like a third party masterminding the entire Assassins VS. Templars war.
This would change the entire course of the future games, which I’m sure there will be many more. He would (SPOILER) find the Eve that the Apple told him about at the end of ACB.
Where would Eden be? I think Japan, from that video of Adam and Eve escaping with the Apple… you can see Mt. Fuji in the backround. It looks a heck of a lot like it. Is this too much for a comment?
It was Mount Kilimanjaro in the background, in Africa
I like this idea of the French revolution. I sort of fits.
Like AC games are based on fact, the pope being supposidly poisoned by Cesare in real life etc..
You could be Louis XVII, son of Marie Anntoinette and King Louis. He ‘died’ but there was many rumours of him living, and he would be a hater of the revolution and would want revenge blah, blah, blah.
Just an idea. :3
If you join the three distances, what will it happen? 21+21+30… Oh my god
72!
why is it that at the end of ac2 the guards abstergo use sticks and not guns??
I think that abstergo needed desmond alive so they used those baton things instead of guns.
i’m a frequent player of ac: project legacy and several of the chapters place your character (it’s never the same character per chapter) in several places and times.
For instance you fight as Bartel & Mario during a time before Ezio becomes an assassin, then you play as Francesco (an assassin disguised as a then-modern artist) then play as a british medic during the trench battles in France against Germany during WWI (the medic turns out to be an assassin).
AC’s time flow may not flow from past to future, and the wide use of colorful characters and settings just shows that Ubi can be very unpredictable.
I don’t think it’s going to take place in the U.S. it would just ruin the game at this point. I definatly think that it will take place in the french revolution or the russian revolution. I just hope they give us more answers about why desmond killed lucy at the end of ACB…
i agree with the French AND american revolution the thing
with the eye and the pyramid are on the back of the american one dollar bill and who else is on the one dollar bill…….George Washington also if you did the recruiting assassins you would see that some of the missions for your recruits were claiming land in the ‘new world’…….masonassassin is my name on PSN befriend me
I agree. If it was something like Ben Franklin had the apple, or was a friend, then you’d have a reason to travel from America to Paris. And that’d be sweet.
Pshh. It’s a Montreal game company. What makes you think Desmond is American anyway?
That’s a little self-centered if you ask me… I havn’t played Brotherhood yet, so maybe they reveal in that game that Desmond is American, but in Assassins Creed I and II there is absolutely no hint that any of the characters are American, or in America.
There’s a few references to America in the puzzles, but alas: no American connection. Besides, American illuminati conspiracy theory stories are overdone. They should set it somewhere else so the story doesn’t fall flat.
Desmod is american because all americans are bad-asses
I think it completely makes sense to take the next game to the US. Lets not forget that Ezio dated Cristina Vespucci, cousin to famed explorer Amerigo, who America was named after.
And of course, they bring her back in ACB for those mini quests, to keep her in our minds. My theory is Colonial America. The Free Masons, Templars, conspiracy. The founding of the United States had every piece of that.
And I’m sure there were plenty of locations with architecture similar to what was in Europe, because the people building back then had all trained in Europe. So it makes sense that some of the first areas would be very European in nature.
well if you played all five christina missions you would know that she was killed in the last one!
My remark didn’t mean Christina would come back, but that her cousin is Amerigo, that could be the link in the chain.
Good finds all around. I almost believe this “crater” resembles an Apple of Eden, and perhaps that is why it was inserted into the end of the Da Vinci Disappearance and not necessarily because the next AC will take place in America.
That said, I think an AC spanning the outbreak of the American Revolution (with Freemasons, etc.) and the French Revolution would be the way to go. The conspiracy theories and intrigue vectors are nearly endless.
Also, I highly doubt Desmond will not be the framing player-character as he has been in the first two games. A different ancestor, certainly, but dropping Desmond Miles for another Assassin would be quite a shock IMHO. Just my two cents.
I think it would be a good way to explain how Altair’s lineage landed up in the US. From France to America. Lets not forget about Shaun’s comments before they froze in ‘Brotherhood’ – about the Phrygian cap and the Masonic Eye – this further hints America. Is the next one coming this year?
There will be another Assassin’s Creed game this year, but there is no guarantee it will be AC3. I personally think it’s a bit too soon for the next one.
Apparently at one of the travelling art shows of AC art, one of the graphic designers hinted at South America or Asia, but this could all be diversion or he somehow doesn’t know.
If you ask me, I think that AC3 will be set in BOTH French and American revolutions (they are only about 10 years apart – depends from what point one’s counting) and I think that the culmination will be with…that’s right, Napoleon himself. This sure would create some crazy and interesting story possibilities and sceneries.
Oh, and just to add to this… Lafayette was in both so obviously one man can cover both revolutions as far as time goes..
And Ubisoft if French company so I can totally see how they would mix both locations…last addition, promise
I wouldn’t be surprised to see this.
I don’t have any idea of where AC3 will be set, but I think Constantinople during the Ottoman empire would make for an awesome setting.
I agree with you. I’d love to see that.
I’d very much like to point out the fact that the Freemason’s symbol with the G, compass, and ruler looks very similar to the symbol of the Assassins. Also, Benjamin Franklin could replace Leonardo Da Vinci as the character that makes the main character cool gadgets.
I have to disagree with those who say that it would not be possible to set this game in colonial america because of lack of things to climb on. Just like all of the previous titles I can assure you it will mainly take place in an urban environment.
The colonial American cities of Boston, New York and Philadelphia are plenty packed to allow for free running. Anyone who’s ever driven in Boston can probably attest to the narrow nature of the streets. Same for old city Philadelphia.
well as far as i know it is gonna called: Assassins creed the fall, it will be set in the Soviet Union and you are gonna be Nikolai orleov. and i don’t think it is gonna set in USA because there is something that wampdog29 said, and that is America and saving the world.
I don’t want to be a asshole that hates America but selling weapons to Iraq and than begin a war with them issn’t earthsaving as far a i know, although it is kinda ironic if it would be set in America. O and about that hole…. if have no idea what that has to do with assassins creed.
greetings from Holland
Assassin’s Creed: The Fall is a comic series set during the Russian Revolution, not an actual game.
That’s right. There also is a French comic series, that is set during the Roman Empire.
Im american and i agree mostly because people of power are greddy fers
Most likely it will be somewhere no one expects,
after AC 1 everyone on every forum was claiming it was going to be set in Japanbut it was set in Italy. Personally I’m hoping for somewhere with colder weather just for a change.
I hope Assassin’s Creed (Whatever) doesn’t take place during the American Revolution. Was I the only one who was a little disappointed that Assassin’s Creed II & Brotherhood took place during the Renaissance era?
As good as it was… why not explore more of the Crusades? I for one think Ubisoft missed out on a golden opportunity to extend this series.
I mean… The Christian Crusade… The Renaissance… Again the Renaissance… And now The American Revolution? What’s next? WWII? Present day? Future?
Yeah… nothing in history that would make an excellent Assassin’s Creed game wasn’t missed.
I completely agree with you. However, a great thing about the series and the whole idea of the Animus is that you don’t have to go forward in time in each installment.
Heck, they could catch everyone off guard and put it during the ‘creation’ of man in the ‘first civilization’, where ‘Juno’ comes from. That would be amazing, and would definitely answer a lot of questions… which, however, isn’t exactly the writer’s specialty…
I haven’t read all the other comments, but one I had myself is that wasn’t Ezio and Leonardo in ITALY when they found the hole? It could be foreshadowing, but I personally think that it will be set in Italy again, but with a different memory figure other than Ezio. Desmond’s crew is already in Italy if I remember correctly.
I think that the numbers that Leonardo pointed out have some significance of course; however, I don’t think it concerns the next location of AC3. For all we know, there could be another DLC for brotherhood before official talk of AC3 even begins.
Maybe this hole is the landing area of the “aliens” from the assassins creed story. You know those who you can see at the end of ac2 and brotherhood.
Ok all u people that think it will be in Erica are idiots it just wouldn’t work even though Washington did have an apple so did ghandi and Napoleon bottom line these things are to obvious with the clues my guess is they are giving you coordinates and shit to throw you off so you are surprised in AC3
[Ed: There's no need to call others who disagree with your thoughts 'idiots' . . .obviously you're a younger person, who's perhaps grown up with this line of 'conversation'?
But you'd get more 'respect' by simply saying that you disagree, rather than calling others idiots.
State your case, make your observationbs, but leave the name calling for chat rooms, and such dull things as twitter and facebook.]
This article is completely wrong. Assassins creed set in the American Revoloution? Seriously?. For one it would take away the entire aspect of free running and building climbing as buildings in British ruled America were very low and spaced out.
Secondly it would make no sense story wise. This “crater” will be part of desmonds story. Nothing to do with his next ancestor. I believe ac3 will be set in the French revoloution.
1. Amazing climing possibilites.
2. Acb’s ending ties in when the historian guy talks about the symbols only being in one place.
3 ubisoft Montreal are french.
4. There were more French ties in acb as franch were invading Italy and ezio learned French somewhere along the line.
5. It would fit snuggly into to overall story.
6. The French revoloution also fits in with the rise of napoleon. A known freemasson and could give an interesting story line. (he uses the apple of Eden to rise to power or something) anyways I could go on. But I assure you it will NOT be set in the American revoloution.
Seriously, Dean? ‘Historian guy’? Look, first of all, his name is Shaun, second of all, the symbols he talked about (the phygian cap and masonic eye) that only came together in one place don’ t come together in France, they come together on the back of the American 1 dollar bill.
And third of all, the entire storyline of the Assassin’s Creed series boils down to what we say is conspiracy. It would make plenty of sense story wise considering that many of the people that are Templars in the series are now perceived as good people, and George Washington was also a Freemason who possessed one of the Apples of Eden (yes, if you didn’t know already, there is more than one).
George Washington is also on the one-dollar bill, along with the phygian cap and masonic eye, as I said earlier. And, if you rewind to Assassin’s Creed 2, during one of the messages given from Subject 16, Subject 16 says “Gaaaahhh… what year is it” while you are shown pictures of the American Revolution.
However, I do agree with you on the part that the ‘crater’ will be part of Desmond’s story, as Desmond and the Animus’s last known location was in Italy, just like the crater. Perhaps when Ezio said “this information is not for us”, it means that it is for Desmond, and so are the numbers, which may tie in to the location of the sixth apple, as Juno said at the end of the game that Desmond had to activate the sixth, and considering George Washington had the apple, those coordinates may actually end up pointing it to where it was hidden.
Sorry I had to slaughter your argument, I just wanted give everyone that looks at this a bit more food for thought.
[Ed: note to commentors, always break up your comments into bite-sized chunks, as it really does help others read what you have taken the time to write down. As you can see now, it's much easier on the eye for everyone - just a constructive tip j]
Actually they come together in two places: one is, like you suggested, printed and embossed on American currency and the other appears at the top of “The Declaration of the Rights of Man and of the Citizen” which was akin to the American Declaration of Independence during the French revolution which was adopted by the French National Constituent Assembly in August of 1789.
So don’t be so quick to bash others for believing a setting of the French Revolution isn’t so outlandish. It also makes more sense to take it to France because the following turmoil and political struggle between royalists, Napoleon supporters and the full-on bloody revolution the French had with executing the monarchy
whatever the US went through for independence was tame compared to the French Revolution and following political chaos which can be the setting of an intense power struggle involving the Templars.
Or we can all be wrong and it takes place in Guadalajara!
I believe “Activate the sixth” points to the Sixth Sense, as Juno talked about it when you enter into the chamber, she said that humans had 5 senses, they can smell, taste, see, touch and hear, but they haven’t the KNOWLEDGE, that’s supposed to be the Sixth Sense and, maybe, the pitagorical numbers for nature?
Here’s another suggestion maybe u stop Templars from going on the Mayflower .
Don’t u guys listen cause at the end of AC Brotherhood Shaun says the Animus did this to him
after Desmond kills Lucy. Then they say fire up the Animus.
Shaun did not say to fire up the Animus. The voice claims to be an expert on the Animus, and although Shaun is an expert on almost all things, Rebecca is the Animus expert.
I believe that either Shaun and Rebecca called for help from other assassins, which is what I want to think, or that they were found and the Templars need Desmond alive because one of the voices says he’s in shock, which is what I do believe.
As for Lucy, she may not even be dead. I’m no expert on anatomy, but I’m pretty sure that if you can stop the bleeding, a stab to the gut isn’t lethal.
We dont need another game based in the US or full of ninjas. I love this game for bringing something so new and different to the table
i also think some character customization would be cool. The main character could be a member of a large wealthy family with lots of sibling therefore justifying the customization without compromising the depth of a set main character. Everyone who played may have a different character but the same story would work if they were a family unit. Also give the lady gamers a chance to play as a woman if they wanted:)
I agree that the American revolution doesn’t provide much architecture for climbing. however, if the game were set maybe in early 1800s new york, that might work. Maybe when the first larger buildings are being built. Plus how badass would a Gangs of New York assassins creed be?!!:D
I do not really see how this game could work in Colonial America. Not many buildings to climb. Lots of haystacks though I guess.
Anyways, I personally think that we are going to see the next game set in either Russia during the Bolshevik revolution or Revolutionary France.
I think it would be interesting to see how Communism was corrupted. As we know, the Brotherhood supported/created Communism and Capitalism is the system of the templars.
There’s also the fact that in the first Assassin’s Creed when Altair takes the Apple back from al Mualim that on the big shiny map that pops up there are many of the shiny triangles that indicate another Piece of Eden, and at least 1 of them is in America. If i remember correctly it was in the New York area
After looking closely and doing a bit of research about the area, I don’t think that’s just a hole. It could be a lake. It looks so dark because much of the water in the area is blackwater (In fact, the Black River forms the east town line of Turin)
It would certainly do a good job of keeping a temple hidden.
Now if everyone would go back to the end of ACB and listen to what shaun says,”I know that symbol. That’s a Phrygian Cap. It stands for freedom…and that, that’s a Masonic Eye.
Now those two come together in only one place–” and it cuts off there. So i looked it up and the only place is on “The Declaration of the Rights of Man”, with the eye at the top and the cap sitting on top of the spear in the middle, written by France after the Revolution.
Second if you remember from AC2, in one of the glyph puzzles Nepoleaon is holding the apple of eden.
Third, look at the time gaps, 1191-1500 is about 300 years then add another 300 and you end up in the middle of the french revolution and then add another 300 and you are in the 21st century.
4th, late 1700′s early 1800′s France has the same landscape and cityscape as italy.
5th, Nepolean tryed to take over Europe so dont you think that the Assassins would get involved.
6th, 2 men at the end of ACB are talking over you ( person in the animus) so we know we are going to have another game inside the animus not outside all of the time.
AC 3 you will play with desmomd in modern new York jumping from building to building that’s what al the training was for in AC 2 Thy also said it was a trilogy so wouldnt that make much more sense?????
No, actually an AC set in modern New York wouldn’t have very good freerunning capabilities due to the size of the buildings, and wouldn’t have a very strong historical context like other AC games therefore losing it’s appeal to fans.
I agree with Henry on this one. One of my biggest video game pet peeves are games set in New York.
Way too many!
Then tell me in which modern city desmond will hunt for marks i mean there is gonna come a AC with desmond doing his thing outside of the animus don’t you think ? Come on the training was it al for nothing ? To tease us ? But maybe your right cause it will also make a to big step in gameplay changes cause I can’t see Desmond using swords….
And sorry for my English but I am from Holland and you know…
I think there is only another edenapple, but that doesn’t mean Desmond will be there. I think a group of assassins will try to get it but it musn’T be Desmond.
Rome, New York has a rich history during the French and Indian War and the Revolutionary War. The Battle of Fort Bull (French and Indian War) and a failed seige of the renewed fort during the revolutionary war was a pivitol part of the U.S. winning because , along with Saratoga and others, helped France become allies with America.
Well in Assassin’s Creed 2 they did discover America using the codex pages so that could be a possible hint about the setting as well.
When looking at the coordinates, I noticed just south of it was Rome, NY, and then I noticed to the NW of Rome was a Florence, NY. Two Italian cities (Roma and Firenze) With the subject matter of the DLC being Pythagorean in nature, I used these three points to see if they made a pythagorean triangle, and low and behold it does! check it out!
http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l156/tuckerdwz2025/acbtrianglenotations.jpg
Wow! Good catch!
At the top of the triangle it’s the town of Lyons. I’m betting AC III will be set during the French Revolution.
Good find!
If you put a similar pythagorean triangle on the original cities of Rome and Firenze it points either to the southern tip of Istria, the northern coast of Corsica, some unimportant region east of Umbria or the island of Elba depending on how you orientate it.
3 of those 4 places do in one way or another have a relation to the French revolution and Napoleon.
http://img41.imageshack.us/i/triangles2.jpg/
I am thinking the hole may be the secure location of another assassin exploring the Anubis.
Hints have led to other locations, but I am hoping for a set in Feudal Japan.
omg it is not going to take place there ok.
I feel like this wouldn’t make any sense. I have started replaying all of my games and i though that the game would be going more towards central america or asia dude to the marks left by subject 16 in AC1. even in the emails of AC1 it says that there are illegal American refugees sneaking into the country. (hmmm)
The US. Of course. every game is in the US now. taking dkpatriarch’s example, Homefront, with the tag line ‘Home is where the war is’ I thought that part of the backstory of homefront was that whilst europe wasn’t invaded by Korea, it was badly hit by the world’s economies collapsing, so no war at home then.
French Revolution. That’s obvious.
Old U.S :
-no running capabilities
-no style
-everybody seems to forget it, but
NO History
Old France:
-amazing running capabilities as most of the
european big cities, very dense
-over stylished design
-half of the european renaissance goodies
are stocked in Paris
Subject closed, Thanx for your participation to this brilliantly elaborated fake theory.
kisses from europe
I Googled the co-ordinates myself, and found something else – look to the south-east of the hole. A town called Turin, as in the Turin Shroud, which is a known PoE. It showed up in Project Legacy, where it was said to bring the dead back to life. Maybe hinting at finding the shroud and using it on Lucy…?
Also, south of here is Turin Road – leading into a town called Rome. Coincidence?
Fantastic reasoning! Thank you for sharing that with us, as I love the ‘possible’ links that can be found in the games.
Great stuff.
Anyone have any more?
But if you remember at the end of the Brotherhood story (before the DLC) the goddess says you must go forth WITHOUT Lucy or the secrets wouldn’t be revealed… Or something like that… I remember without Lucy was the main point, hence why she forced you to kill her.
Genious! .. but do you remember? There was another peace of eden. By using it you could go back in time. I think that it was locked up by Abstergo because of fear of paradox. Maybe Desmond will break into Abstergo’s facility and try to get the PoE to get back in the time of the First Civilazation or before he stabbed Lucy…I leave that to you guys.
I guess “The Sixth Sense” Juno talked about is about controling the elements of nature. After all they were the gods. Example: Neptune (Poseidon in Greek mythology) – god of the seas and earthquakes, Vulcan (Hephaestus in Greek mythology) – god of FIRE,blacksmiths and craftsmen.Maybe he even crafted the pieces of eden. Jupiter (Zeus) – god of the sky, lightning and WIND etc. The people didn’t give them control over these elements for nothing.
” We were strong, but you were many” – Minerva to Ezio. This shows that they were a few of them, probably 12 as for the 12 Olympian Gods. ” We were strong … ” , i guess this back’s up my theory for the ” sixth sense” .
You should really stop arguing if it where to be in the American or French Revolution! Personnaly, i think the ancestor will be in France, but Desmond will go to Amerika. Another cool thing will be if Desmond had to relive the memories of many ancestors not just one. A different Assassin for every sequence
. They will have little gameplay, but will show us many different locations, characters and historical figures. Desmond will have to relive important memories of these assassin’s to find the locations of all the temples, and then he will have to go to each one to activate it and thus, save the world from destruction. The Temples probably won’t be able to stop the terrible events to come, but they will be able to protect every one who is inside them. ” They worked to protect us from the fire.. ” – Minerva . The humans will then restore life to the planet and learn from their mistakes

I have much more ideas, but i’m tired of writing. I thank everyone who read this and hope they liked the ideas. These are just some suggestions and should not be taken SERIOUSLY.
P.S: Sorry if there was some bad english… I’m from Bulgaria :S
Well, there is a town called Turin nearby, like the Shroud of Turin, which is a Piece of Eden. Maybe Desmond or an ancestor will go there, and find it in that hole?
I personally would not be pleased with this location, unless it was just for Desmond.
As I’ve seen others write, the historical environments are a big part of the game and the free-running demands suitable architecture.
The French Revolution, and Napoleon’s conquests in Europe and Egypt provide way more scope for great historical environments and stories.
Why do some games keep feeling they have to go to the US?
Look at how Homefront is named and advertised: the war is coming home…well I don’t live in the US! So why advertise it like that to us? That has no impact on me. Now if it came to Australia….
Okay I went off topic….
not that i wanna be “that American” but I’d like to point out, most games come out in US/North America earlier than the rest of the world, not all, but enough that its worth mentioning. (Brotherhood released on November 16 (USA) and November 19 (UK), 2010)
and to point out something else brotherhood ended around 1600 if I’m not mistaken, 1776 is about 100 years and they could be doing something like saying the Templars found reference to a POE in the Americas and that is the reason for the initial exploration
haha well think of this. we see tons of games were u climb buildings. why not trees? imagine jumping through trees as your chased by soldiers on horseback? but anyways i dont want it to be american revolution. too unoirginal.
Well, considering the story of Assassin’s Creed focuses on saving the end of the Earth, you would think the U.S. would come into play at some point. It’s undoubtedly going to happen. It’s just whether it will be next or later.
Well Washinton’s first name was Roma way back when, as many of the building are supposidly imported stone for stone from areas in Italy . . . or so the story goes. SO who knows, anything is possible. And the whole city is laid out by the founding fathers, who, as we know, were part of the Masons.
Well, if you had watched the glyphs (glyph nr.2 to be precise) in ACII carefully, you KNOW Washington had the apple:
