Raiden Returning Next November?

2001 saw the much appreciated (and very mixed) release of Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty on the PlayStation 2, followed a year later by an Xbox release, and another year later by the PC release.
To say Raiden was perceived wrongfully is to be beside the point. Regardless, it proved to be one of the most powerful Kojima-san stories yet.
Metal Gear Solid 4 restored Raiden’s dignity by allowing him to finally be the badass he was meant to be.
Metal Gear Solid: Rising, the first non-Kojima developed, multiplatform Metal Gear title is being anticipated with mixed feelings, similar to Metal Gear Solid 2.
And it looks like you’re going to have to wait a tad longer.
Good things come to those who wait…
Rumors are circulating that the title is currently pinned for a November 2012 release.
This disappointing news comes in the way of an altered GameStop listing.
While this isn’t exactly the epitome of reliable sources, it definitely means we won’t be seeing the newest iteration of Metal Gear this year.
I’m just as (and even more) disappointed as you are, friends.
Until then, we have the recent Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker on the PSP (which I still have not completed…) and the upcoming Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D on the 3DS to tide us over.
I mean, come on; it’s only been about a decade since we last played as Raiden.
