We all enjoy the month of April, especially the very first day. Game developers across the globe take part in causing everyone unnecessary stress because of things we would love to happen, but ultimately will not. Everyone knows of Valve's classic title, Ricochet... well, we know of it, but I don't know anyone that has played it. Today, Valve has a little surprise for us.

Unanticipated

Located on a secret Steam page, Valve has unveiled Ricochet 2.

The description is as follows.

Ricochet 2 is a sequel to the widely disregarded futuristic action game, Ricochet. Ricochet 2 challenges your agility as well as your aim, featuring one-on-one and team matches played in a variety of futuristic battle arenas.

Pre-ordering the game nets you the “Circular Circlesaw” for Team Fortress 2.

Ricochet 2 “releases” on April 14th.

If you choose to attempt to sign in to the site, you are redirected to a YouTube video entitled “Half Life Snacks.” In the video, Valve reflects on… the importance of snacks.

 Hold on a second here…

The most ridiculous thing about this entire thing is that knowing Valve, the Team Fortress 2 item will be real.

But, for all we know, this is just Valve fooling us into paying $10 for a TF2 item.

Regardless, it’s a great joke.

If it does actually come out, I’ll finally believe that there is hope for Half-Life 3.

I'm an American from steamy Louisiana, one of the most electronically deprived areas of the United States. I've gamed since I was four years old as a result, and plan to do it onto my deathbed. I discovered I could write in June of 2010 when I started a little site called Fans of The Genre with a few friends, and that eventually collapsed three months after due to social lives kicking in. No less than two weeks after that I discovered OXCGN via the community gamer gab competition, and become a staff member shortly after. In February of 2011 I was welcomed to the Editorial staff, then in March of 2012 I was promoted to co-owner... and here I am!
