Yes it’s an understatement, but I’m ridiculously excited for Halo 4.
While I’ve previously shown apprehension on the direction of the game, I’m still eager to see what 343 is doing with the franchise, and where we’ll be going next.
I decided to pull together a bunch of comparison screens showing the visual differences between Halo 3, Halo: Reach and Halo 4.
The results are staggering, and I think you’ll see it too.
The format below (in each column from left to right): Halo 3, Reach, Halo 4.

Those screenshots should have adequately invoked the amount of hype that I’m attempting to generate.
Keep checking OXCGN for continued coverage of Halo 4, including any hands-on we’ll get at E3 2012.
In the meantime, what do you think of the screens? Is the leap phenomenal, or only logical?

I am disappointed actually, the graphics are taking a turn away from the vivid pallette of color present to us by halo 3. The halo 4 art style is a little more faithful, but still a long way from the bright color of the older games
Looks good to me, looking forward to it…
that really is an impressive difference. the new lighting engine looks incredible too
Waiting for games is the most pain i seem to suffer on a daily basis. This game is no exception to that pain.
