It’s been almost a year since the the first EB Expo was held on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia, and after the reveal that Sydney was to be the next city to host Australia’s biggest gaming event, the countdown to the start of the Expo on October 5th – 7th is quickly ticking down.
If you’re a casual or hardcore gamer anywhere in Australia, the EB Expo is something you won’t want to miss.
Australia’s Premier Gaming Expo
With the huge success of last year’s first annual games expo it was a no-brainer to bring it to Sydney where many more will have the ability to attend and enjoy a 3 day spectacle filled with games, a show or two, games and more games.
This sequel will try to set the benchmark even higher with much more polish and organization to it, as I feel last year’s would have been a test run of sorts to see how to cater to such a large crowd over the course of 3 days.

There’ll be a lot of games to see at the show and most of these will be available to get your hands on prior to them even being released, such as Call of Duty: Black Ops 2.
If you want the chance to experience what E3 is like then the EB Expo will be the closest thing to that for now in Australia.
If you’re a hardcore gamer then EB Home Grown is what you should be looking at. Partnering up with the best leagues and tournaments across Australia, this year’s eSports program is going to be huge.
Like to dress up as your favorite character from your favorite game? EB caters to your needs as you can dress up as your favourite game character for the love of cosplay and enter the competition featuring what I believe will be some amazing prizes.
Last but not least, if you’re looking to just spend an amazing day with the kids, whether they play casually on the weekends or play games religiously (I know I do), the EB Arena will be a spectacle.
Last year’s EB Arena featured explosive pyrotechnic flares and the Showtime FMX motorbike stunt team, so you can bet that this year’s EB Arena will have a few other surprises in store.
If you’ve organized your tickets for the show already you’re in for a great weekend, if you haven’t check with your local EB Games store to see if there are any left.
This year’s expo is accommodating for every type of gamer, male or female, adult or child.
