To say that we’re excited for the Wii U would be quite the understatement.
Today, Nintendo has announced the price, release date, and launch games for the system, and it’s a bit overwhelming.
Articles everywhere stating one bit of info, a technical spec here, a cable inclusion there…
Never fret, for we have you covered: all known Wii U launch information is here.
The future?
The Wii U will launch on November 18th in North America with two bundles.
The first bundle is known at the Basic edition, retailing at $299USD. This version of the system is white, has 8GB of memory, and comes with all of the necessary cables (HDMI included) and a controller (known as the GamePad).
A second edition, the Deluxe version, will retail for $349USD and comes loaded with 32GB of memory, a charging cradle for the GamePad, a subscription to Nintendo’s new Network Premium service, which gives discounts on eShop titles, all wrapped up in a sleek black design.
While the full list of launch day titles has yet to be revealed, the following games are confirmed for the November 18th launch:
In addition to this, Nintendo has announced a new feature for the system, known as Nintendo TVii. It will allow access to popular services such as YouTube, Hulu, Netflix, and Amazon.
Friends can make recommendations, and so forth.
It should be noted that GamePads will run you quite a hefty amount – rumors say £107, equivalent to around $170USD – but you can still use your Wii Nunchucks and controllers.
