We’re changing hosts, and things will break…
But don’t panic!

OXCGN has come a very long way since its inception.
Originally conceived in 2005 by founder Grant Smythe as a listing of upcoming Xbox 360 games, it transformed into the site you know and love in 2007.
From one man’s Xbox-centered blog to a full blown site, we’ve been on quite the journey through the years.
As we continue to evolve and expand, we need more freedom. This comes about by changing our website host, which is a tumultuous, lengthy process that involves a tiny bit of magic.
Sometime within the next few weeks, the change will occur.
During this time, the site will most likely be offline, and the next time it’s back up, it’ll either look exactly the same or completely transformed.
Or broken. That’s always a possibility.
We don’t know how long we’ll be dark, as it’s quite a sizable archive of posts, pages, and media that we have here at OXCGN.
Regardless, we are aware of any and all problems that are occurring or will occur. Believe me, there WILL be problems and they’ll be very noticeable.
Until that point, though, there are a few problems with the site currently that we can’t fix due to existing limitations, such as the listing of all of our articles on the front page.
It has to be manually updated until the switch, and on the page with the full listing of articles, you’ll notice many things are broken.
Again, we are aware of this and it will be fixed after the transition.
Everything will be all under control once the switch is complete.
To know when we go dark, please watch our Twitter and Facebook pages, as we’ll announce there when it all happens.
We want to thank all of our readers, especially those within the industry, that make an independent site like this possible.
Stay tuned, because it’s a new year, and a new OXCGN is coming with it.
