Thanks for stopping by, stranger. I saw you coming through that dark alley and thought you should pass through here on your way.

Hold on! Don’t leave me just yet. How about a story? We all love a good story right … moreso when it sends chills up and down your spine.

There are a ton of myths in the gaming world; some true, some as real as Bigfoot. However, right now, I intend to tell you the best of them, in new feature, ‘The Myth Informative’.

In ‘Volume I’ will chronicle a somewhat famous myth that may be equivalent to thin air, but is still fun to tell just the same.

Will you join me? That is, if you can handle it. (more…)

E3 Reactions – Kane And Lynch 116,000 Players Killed in Heists

Kane And Lynch Players Get Real Nasty

116,000 players were killed in the act of pulling-off a heist

One game we spotted at E3 was IO Interactive’s Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days, and the line up for those wanting to get some hands on with this was an interesting sight.

The following PR item from Bandai Partners who are publishing the game certainly spells out the huge multiplayer aspects of this game.

If specs are anything to go by with regards to the numbers who played a recent limited play-off online, then this game could well supply a decent challenge for the top multiplayer title on the Xbox 360 when it is released.

While E3 has finally come, and gone, OXCGN has taken some vids during the days as we headed both to and from the event where we discuss the various aspects of our own daily impressions of the event as it unfolded for us personally.

While those of you that were not here will have different views of how E3 went, for those of us on the show floor or in actual developers booths where the public and even exhibitors were not permitted, we got a much different view and perspective of what was taking place with the different items up for offer at E3.

OXCGN’s E3 2010 Show Awards

The Awards no one else gives out.

One thing we noticed as we wandered around the main halls in E3 was the large number of stickers, plaques and awards attached to the signs for many games, proclaiming them as being ‘IGN Best Action Game Nominee’ or ‘Kotaku Best of E3′. Predictably these were fixed on the biggest sequels or most elaborate setups.

It got us thinking however: why do we have to stick to the traditional Academy Award-esque categories? Why not honour the less obvious achievements overlooked in the chaos of the show floor?

And so we present to you,

OXCGN’s First Annual E3 Awards!
