Top endgame or sunk by ending?

The world is ablaze with Mass Effect 3.

OXCGN chose to wait out the storm of ‘ending rage’ to release a review, but in a different form.

I’m going to try something a little unconventional, and review Mass Effect 3 in terms of an emotional investment, rather than just a standard review outlining the features and usual criteria like ‘graphics’, ‘sound’, etc ; we all already know this is a AAA quality title in those categories.

Commander Shepard‘s near-five year journey has finally drawn to a close, and I’m proud to say that it’s a worthy, triumphant endgame- and no, the controversial ending does not change that. (more…)

Always trying to outdo themselves and the competition, EA Australia held an event spectacle of galactic proportions on Wednesday 22nd of February at SOHO in Sydney’s infamous Kings Cross.

Some features: decking out the dance floor with TVs showcasing the Earth and Mars level from Mass Effect, having a FemShep walk around being bad-ass with her inflatable Omni-Blade and a photo booth to get your face on either FemShep or MaleShep.

The awesome didn’t quite stop there though, as up the front near the main podium in a glass casket there was a model replica of the Normandy which looked absolutely amazing behind the red velvet rope. (more…)

Literally.

EA will be launching weather balloons over key cities around the world very soon, with copies of Mass Effect 3 on them.

Mass Effect 3 is just under a month away, and to say that the gaming world is anticipating it would be quite the understatement.

Tomorrow, February 14th, is the day that the floodgates will open to the world and everyone can get their hands on the combined single and multi-player demo of the game.

OXCGN got in early, and has the exclusive scoop on the new multiplayer mode, a series first.
