FUSE 10Back in December we got the chance to test out FUSE in both a single player and co-operative player capacity in the form of ‘Echelon‘.

Whilst the game retains the same high octane gameplay we first witnessed, this time around we were treated to a proper hands on with the games first 3 missions.

FUSE has been specifically developed with co-op in mind so it was only appropriate to start the game with 4 player co-op where each player chose their respective character.

Difficulty is treated like any other game played in co-op i.e; Borderlands 2 is scaled accordingly.

FUSE_oxcgn_screenshot 8If you were to play the game on your own and leap between the other 3 characters, you won’t find the same challenge as you would with 3 other human players.

It was clear from the get go that the enemy AI adapt to your playing style and will enlist an array of tactics on the battlefield to complete their mission, eliminating you.

Opening Pandora’s Box

The year is 2009.

Gearbox Software, known for Brothers in Arms, releases a zany, satirical FPS/RPG hybrid known as Borderlands.

Described as the world’s first “shooter looter,” Borderlands was a very successful title with an emphasis on cooperative play, and above all, fun.

Fast forward to the present, and we’re knee-deep in the sequel, Borderlands 2.

Taking every single concept utilized in the first title, refining the gameplay, and giving us a bazillion more guns to play with, Gearbox have managed to do the unthinkable: make Borderlands even more enjoyable.

When new games are on the horizon, most people can’t wait to get their hands on them.

So what do you do? You damn well pre-order your copy, that’s what you do.  Especially with the goodies they throw in these days to do so.

So you’re shopping around, looking for the best deal, when you find it…

The Limited Edition.

Not only do you get the game you were after, but you also get all this cool extra stuff too.

Most “Limited Editions” come in a fancy case with an artbook, but every once in a while a major title will release a special edition that comes chock-full of goodies.

Whether your shopping for yourself or for others, here are some Limited Edition packs coming out between now and Christmas that would be ideal gifts come holiday time (even if just for yourself!).

Which upcoming Limited Edition do you think is the best?  Vote below in our poll, or suggest one we missed.

The greatest seasons for new exciting video game trailers may be during the E3 week and the lead into the Christmas big release period,  but this year there have been an unusual number of very exciting quality trailers released just after E3.

Some have even been big budget live action trailers, which is interesting in itself, as these don’t actually show much, if any, gameplay and serve only to get us excited about the potential ‘vision’ of the game.

Here are my top post E3 trailers I’ve come across lately, with a poll at the bottom for you to vote for your favourite.  I will send the publisher the results, so get your friends voting!

These are in no particular order:
