destiny screenshots oxcgn #2To say that Bungie is an important studio would be an understatement. In 2001, they revolutionized what people thought was possible with a console first person shooter in Halo: Combat Evolved.

Since becoming independent in 2007, and officially relinquishing all Halo ties just a few years ago, everyone has been going nuts over what they’ve been working on.

All we knew up to this point was that it was called Destiny.

Today, that project was revealed.

All the reveal information is below.

Ever wanted to experience the thrilling terror of what Call of Duty‘s Nazi Zombies has to offer? Or witness a game that showed off the capabilities of your latest gadget?

Fret no more, because the team at Madfinger Games (the studio behind Shadowgun, also available on Android/iOS devices) has brought out Dead Trigger, a First Person Shooter set during a zombie apocalypse.

Rarely do you find a franchise more influential than Doom.

The king of video game violence controversy and one of the first modern first person shooters, Doom blew the doors off of what we thought was possible in a video game.

Nearly a decade later, Doom is back in the ultimate package: Doom 3: BFG Edition.

Featuring Doom, Doom 2, Doom 3, and Doom 3: Resurrection of Evil, BFG looks to be the ultimate Doom experience.

It takes a lot for a shooter to stand out in the year 2012.

We’ve seen them all: first person shooters, third person shooters, crusades for the glory of America, space marines fighting it out for the safety of the universe…

And then there’s PlanetSide 2. A sequel to the original “MMOshooter” from 2003, PlanetSide 2 is a wildly ambitious – and wildly addicting – experience that’s in a league of its own.

OXCGN was treated to a hands-on with the game during E3 2012, and we’re proud to say it was one of the best shooters on the show floor.
