OXCGN’s Playstation 4 Australian Review
We got our hands on Sony’s PlayStation 4 just days before it’s release in Australia.
by Yvan Zivkovic
We’ve finally reacted the end of an era, the 7th generation of consoles, the Xbox 360, the Wii and the PlayStation 3. It’s been over 8 years since the Xbox 360 was released to North American consumers, and over 7 years in the case of the PlayStation 3, and even though the Xbox had almost a year head start, all three consoles were hugely successful, with Nintendo coming out on top, selling over 100 million consoles to date, with both Sony and Microsoft selling over 80 million units.
Here in Australia, the PS3 actually outsold the Xbox 360, 1.2M to 1M, so even with all those RRoD’s, the PlayStation 3 still outsold the Xbox 360.
But now, we come to the beginning of a new era, the 8th generation of consoles, the big three, Nintendo, Microsoft and Sony, all competing for your living room space. Sony being the last (at least in Australia) to offer their spoils, the questions is, does it stand out from the crowd, or is it just another black box hooked up your TV.

OXCGN’s Battlefield 4 Review
Come for the multiplayer, stay for the multiplayer…
by Rocco Rinaldo
(ED: Rocco’s review does contain spoilers relating to the single player portion of the game. If you are yet to finish it and wish for it to not be ruined, you can scroll down to read the multiplayer portion of the review)
After two years Battlefield 4 arrives on PC, current gen and next gen consoles, so what has changed since Battlefield 3 and is it worth jumping back into the fray? This review will mirror the format of Battlefield 4; a short single player wrap up followed by a more in-depth multiplayer review.
Just like Stereosonic but with more guns.

OXCGN’s Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag Review
Abstergo Entertainment invites you aboard for the adventure of a lifetime!
by Jayden Perry

Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag marks a new step in the path of the Assassin’s Creed series. It brings us a well penned story to cast us a sea on our journey, and puts the player into a beautiful world to explore.
After sinking more than forty hours into the core of it alone, I am still scouring the seas for the many Assassin and Naval contracts yet to be completed, and the many small uncharted islands waiting to be scoured for hidden treasures.
After playing all this on current generation consoles, I am confident, with the release of next-gen consoles, the Playstation 4 and Xbox One versions will see me invest just as many hours once more.

An interview with Senior Game Designer Michael Hampden
by Jayden Perry

During the EB Games Expo 2013 Daniel and I were lucky enough to have the chance to sit down and interview Michael Hampden, the Senior Game Designer on Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag.
We got to chat with him about the upcoming Assassin’s Creed title, and even got hands on with the game itself.
As a self-professed lover of all things Assassin’s Creed I had a great time playing the game and talking to Michael about it. I’m very grateful to Michael for his time, and an added thanks for Ubisoft’s incredible setup and organisation at the EB Expo!
