de-blob-2-360-boxartDe Blob has come back for a double rainbow!

Blue Tongue’s sequel has this time moved from the lonely Wii corner and embraced every console’s disc tray besides the PC, in an aggressive way to boost its popularity.

Will De Blob bring colourful happiness to your screens?

I personally found the original De Blob to be a very tough game to evaluate and review. It screams ‘classic platform/adventure’ reminding us that Banjo Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts was not what most of us had hoped it would be.

But De Blob never quite reaches that premier level that RARE used to be so capable of reaching. I’m not sure why but I even had memories coming back of Glover from the Nintendo 64.

10 Games that MUST be announced at E3

Or gamers might start World War 3…

by Shadow Wave

©2010 Ben Cadwallader:

It’s time to be hyped up, stay up all night (for us Aussies) and watch all the great announcements unfold before our eyes! It’s E3 time again!

There are always a few desired titles that were rumored to be announced, or simply just anticipated by the fans but sadly not announced. One (or more) years later we are brought to that same moment of suspense, with an increased desire that our dream game will be announced finally!

This is a list of 10 of those games (and I know there are MANY more) that NEED to be announced at E3 this year or gamers might simply explode into a chaotic riot group and lay waste to the E3 Expo! Well okay- at least their bedrooms in a petulant tanty?

So what are the ten that will stop the pain . . . . ?

Gaming And E3′s Celebrities – No Such Thing As A Game Celebrity?

Why is there no such thing as a game celebrity?

by AXIS of Reality

We all know game development is one of the most overlooked creative industries. While you’d be hard pressed to find anyone who didn’t know the names James Cameron or Beyonce Knowles, mention Peter Molyneux or Shigeru Miyamoto to any non-gamer and you’ll be met with blank stares.

E3 is just around the corner, and the halls in LA’s Exhibition Centre will be filled with many of gamings best. But why do they not attain the level of success other mediums do, especially considering that their games can bring in twice as much revenue than some block-buster movies?

Try taking the gaming celebrity quiz at the end of this article, and see how well you know your favourite hobby.

But why is this so?

We all know the games industry is one of the most widely spread forms of media in the world, with Mario, Sonic, Halo and God of War recognisable to even the most technologically illiterate. This is much like films, but with the difference being most people can name Peter Jackson alongside Lord of the Rings or Keanu Reeves with The Matrix.

So just who are our gaming celebrities . . . ?

Top 10 Secret 360 Exclusives @ E3’09

by Aaron Bertinetti

secret oxcgnSome would lead you to believe that Microsoft has announced its full line up, whilst others would simply tell you that its competitors are very good at announcing… but not so good on delivering within a year.

But it was leading up to E3 last year when Microsoft made a somewhat public change of policy in regards to announcing their exclusive holiday lineups.

The promise for this year has always been to focus their firepower on E3 and then deliver the majority of those titles between October 2009 and March 2010.

Even for journalists, who know that at least some of the titles below exist, it’s been somewhat shocking to see Microsoft hold themselves to that promise so determinedly.

Thankfully it’s only a matter of time until their lips are loose…

Slip down to the bottom after you’ve read the list of course, and let us know in our Poll What you think will be THE 360 Exclusive at E3.

Shhhhhh there’s more here – but don’t tell anyone . . >
