Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon. Or, at least that’s how I’m hoping the idea was formulated by the geniuses at Ubisoft Montreal.

What started out as an April Fools joke (hich everyone believed it to be) quickly turned into something real when days after the 1st of April screenshots were being leaked online.

Fast forward to now and Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon has finally been unveiled with a launch trailer encapsulating the era of VHS in the 90′s. From corny commercial to animation, it reminds me of Heavy Metal.

How bloody is this dragon?

Assassin’s Creed 3 is looking to be one of the biggest, most adventurous titles of 2012.

From an entirely new environment to the new protagonist, Connor, to naval battles to dogs, it’s bursting at the seams with content.

OXCGN’s Arthur Kotsopoulos and Daniel Geikowski sat down with Ubisoft’s Julien Laffiere to answer a few of OXCGN’s burning questions about the game, including the pro-American controversy, their choice of cities and mission balance.

When the original Assassin’s Creed was released in 2007, it was generally well-received, but not without a few caveats. Most praised the game for its ambition but cited significant shortcomings, chief among them the repetitive mission structure.

It was no wonder which issues Ubisoft Montreal would then tackle when they undertook the series’ second entry. Even a cursory examination of Assassin’s Creed II shows the great concern that was taken for adding variety and dynamism to the game’s missions.

Without a doubt, the announcement of Far Cry 3® was a no-brainer seeing how well Far Cry 2 was when released.

Despite a few flaws that really hindered the game at times, such as the continuous jamming of your AK47 (or any other weapon of choice), the moment where your malaria struck and you had no pills, or the unlimited re-spawning of enemies at each checkpoint no matter how many times you had killed them, it was something fresh.

A few highlights of the title were the awesome fire effects, huge scenic vistas and bonus multiplayer map editor.
