FUSE 10Back in December we got the chance to test out FUSE in both a single player and co-operative player capacity in the form of ‘Echelon‘.

Whilst the game retains the same high octane gameplay we first witnessed, this time around we were treated to a proper hands on with the games first 3 missions.

FUSE has been specifically developed with co-op in mind so it was only appropriate to start the game with 4 player co-op where each player chose their respective character.

Difficulty is treated like any other game played in co-op i.e; Borderlands 2 is scaled accordingly.

FUSE_oxcgn_screenshot 8If you were to play the game on your own and leap between the other 3 characters, you won’t find the same challenge as you would with 3 other human players.

It was clear from the get go that the enemy AI adapt to your playing style and will enlist an array of tactics on the battlefield to complete their mission, eliminating you.

After a 5 year hiatus, one spin-off game (Halo 3: ODST) and one prequel (Halo: Reach), the Chief is back in action in a new trilogy helmed by 343 Industries.

With a new technology, a new planet to explore and a new class of enemies called the Prometheans to battle, Microsoft’s premiere FPS is looking to stay atop the competition and give players the sci-fi action they’ve been missing.

We had the chance to catch up with 343 Industries’ Creative Director, Josh Holmes, and spoke all things Halo, from the old trilogy to the inspiration behind Halo 4.

Does it catapult to great heights or sink like a cannonball?

It was no surprise that Kinect would make its presence felt with the 2012 Summer of Arcade line up and that presence is extended in the form of Wreckateer.

One of the most enjoyable activities in the video game space is destruction and destruction is the order of the day in this enjoyable little arcade title.

Goblin infested towers stretch arrogantly skyward and need to be literally knocked down a peg or two.

Step forward your avatar. It’s your job to take down these structures with a variety of airborne wrecking balls.

Do Achievements or Trophies in games serve any purpose other than to show off in front of one’s friends?

The introduction of Achievements and Trophies in games have come about during the current generation of consoles.

They give the player an indication on how much progression they have made through a certain game, and also allows friends to compare how each other are doing in relation to a particular game.

However, do they serve any other purpose?
