Galactic Command: KnightBlade: (Action) Also known as: KnightBlade — Line Of Defense [working title] KnightBlade – Final Flight [working title] – by 3000AD – Release date 2nd Qtr 2009 TBA (Further Information) check the (official site) for march ’08 Press release validation. Commanding a crew of 14 men, you engage in interplanetary combat in this original creation by the developers of the Universal Combat franchise. Your crew (including your XO, the navigator, doctor, and a team of marines) make up a makeshift army aboard a stolen stolen experimental GALCOM craft — the GCV-KnightBlade — who find themselves to be the last hope for an embattled planet Earth. In high-intensity combat scenarios and planetary encounters, your reflexes, wits and guns are all that’s left to stop the destruction of humanity. Featuring elements common to 3000AD’s previous productions, scenarios take place in space and on planets while featuring first-person, flight and vehicular combat on a richly detailed world, complete with interior levels for all units that the player interacts with.

Galactic Command: Excalibur – Episode 1 (Action) (Also known as Hostile Intent: Planetfall) – by 3000AD – Release date Dec 2009 (US) TBA (Further Information) or (More news). Part of the Galactic Command franchise of interplanetary defense and combat, this episodic action game that focuses on the Excalibur command carrier and the combat pilots assigned to it. Please check the (official site) for some details. They also have a “Secret Project” but no news on which platfroms, however, seeing they are now into the consoles, I’d imagin it will come out on consoles and PC.

Gas Powered Games Next-Gen Project: [Untitled] (RPG-RTS) – by Gas Powered Games – Release date not announced TBA (Further Information) not a lot to go on at the moment other than GPG confirmation the game is in Development.

Godfather II: (TPP – Action) – by Electronic Arts / EA Redwood  – Release date 1st Feb 2009 TBA. Game (’08 preview) great (screens) and detailed (information). Where the game will take place is Havana, Miami and New York, as you the player fights for control over the mob families opposed to the Corleones. Michael has appointed you Don, so you are officially in charge in The Godfather II. But what exactly are you in charge of? First, there’s the family and you’re associates. Recruiting loyal and skilled gangsters is a crucial element of Godfather II. You won’t be able to make any headway against the other families without them. Your crew members will have specific skills that you can take advantage of – some might be great soldiers, others good drivers, etc. – and you can spend resources to develop your crew’s individual skills. Each member will have their own unique personality as well, partly to add color, but also to help define them as real people and develop bonds with them. Keeping your crew happy and well paid will keep them loyal and trustworthy.

Gothic IV: (new title=Arcania: A Gothic Tale) (MMORPG) – JoWooD / Spellbound Entertaiment – Release date end 2009 TBA (Recent news) plus (Further Information) some (screens). What’s the game about? This complex, open-world role-playing game continues the tradition of the Gothic series with improved graphics and revamped combat. What’s new for Games Convention? Well, the name, for one. Previously, this was Gothic 4, but now the title is Arcania: A Gothic Tale. It’s hard to say why developer JoWood decided to make this switch, because they aren’t yet revealing many details about the game, storyline or otherwise, beyond some vague hints that the nameless main character may not be the same nameless main character from the previous Gothic titles. Instead, I watched a series of tech demos that showed off the game’s engine and detailed environments without telling much about Arcania itself.

Guillermo Del-Toro’s Sundown: (Action) – by Pub TBC / Terminal Reality – Release date 2009 TBA (Further Information) . Guillermo del Toro’s movie about a zombie apocalypse and the survivors battling to continue on infects next-gen consoles with this action title. Events in the game ratchet up the terror and game opportunities as the game goes from the calm hours before the first outbreak to the worst moments in these characters’ lives.
